We Got Scammed... | Fairy Stream + Red Sand Dunes | Mui Ne, Vietnam
Mui Ne is located right on the coast of Vietnam and is home to some unique landscapes! In this video we visit the Fairy Stream and Red Sand Dunes but things do not go according to plan....
However, we were amazed by both destinations and would recommend you checking them out if you happen to be in the area! Just be cautious and mindful about who is trying to "help" you.
The Fairy Stream felt like a whole different world as it wound through sand dunes and forest before opening up into a beautiful waterfall! The contrast of sand, ocean, and town at the Red Sand Dunes gave us the impression of a sprawling desert in the middle of a city. Nothing like we've seen on this trip so far!

Definitely an uncomfortable situation but it could've been worse! Still saw some amazing things in the area 🤗
Good video. You do have to be careful with scammers anywhere in SE Asia. No one will rob, assault or murder you in SE Asia, but many people are poor and desperate to make money. Good to show all aspects of traveling there so that people can have a realistic view of it rather than thinking it is just complete paradise so that people can let their guard down.

Glad you enjoy when we are a little bit more real with our video! Travelling isn't always highs so we felt like it was important to show one of the lows. We try our best to be aware of the situation before we head to a place but we didn't read about this online from anyone so we didn't think much of it at the start! Luckily the situation was manageable, but we just aren't use to it!

You forgot to fill us in whether they confronted you at the bike asking for a tip! How much did you give?

Yeah it was an awkward situation so we kept the camera away and then completely forgot! But we ended up getting a snack from the shop we parked outside of and then gave her some of the smaller change! But yeah she was waiting right where we had to cross the street to our bike 😳but luckily the situation never escalated!
