I am just frothing at the mouth seeing all those OG German Can pressings. Absolutely killer stuff!
Like most record fanatics I have watched a LOT of record finds/ collections of KZread videos and this is probably the best I have seen to date. Thanks for posting.

Thanks so much!
One of the coolest collections I've ever seen, so much stuff in there I'd die to have. Killer score!
Omg how many grails..! this guy had a killer collection.. looked like you had so much fun

It was tremendous fun! Thanks for watching! 🙏
Wow..what a diverse and eclectic collection! Zappa, Zombies, Aphrodite's Child and then suddenly you see Bathory, Slayer next to them. Awesome!
Amazing, everything is amazing. It is also incredible.
That's a well thought out, well curated collection. World class collection. Glad it went to someone like yourself. That's not something you see every day. Kudos.
Nice! I will be giving a lot of those a listen. I'm not very knowledgeable about jazz funk. But that Maggot Brain! 👀
AMAZING Collection, Impressive !!!! ;-)
Stunning collection! I can’t imagine letting that go, but I’m glad it went to someone who appreciated it
Congrats! Huge level up on your jazz collection man!
Killer collection - thanks for walking us through it! I'm a huge fan of Strata East and Black Jazz and you showed a few I wasn't familiar with but are now on my list! Thanks!
Dillon, So, I have spent the last week slowly going through this video and checking out albums and listening to them. One of these videos tends to last me about 12 days of going down the glorious rabbit hole of music. You have no idea how thankful I am Dillon for these videos. It's just...point and shoot, you just can't miss. It's all gold. That Edwards Generation, 'The Street Thang' is so sick. And Calvin Keys! Far out. Australia is a long way from your shop. Don't think I'll ever travel that way. But if I do, I will definitely drop in and say thank you. You are into this for the right reasons Friendo. You are a genuine person. My Daddy used to say that "Jazz is what you get when you get Blues and throw it down a flight of stairs." He was way off.... Cheers,
Neat buy, very nice selection
And all just sitting in his living room! 🤯
thanks for all the recommedations wow introduced me to some bangers!
Sick collection! I’m drooling over the soundtracks. Insane.
Congratulations! Insane collection. Bathory to Dorothy Ashby. That's my kind of haul!
Love that you are stoked on the jazz but I watched looking for the metal, thanks cool to see what people have. 😀
Wowza what an excellent haul there! Being able to fill holes/upgrade your own collection along with what's going out to the people is a total win win for all. Looking forward to seeing what makes it to the whatnot stream. Thank ya Dillon!

Wow. Just wow. Thanks for showing so much of this great collection. Never heard of Henri Texier, but you peeked my interest and after streaming, I am compelled to track him down. I also covet those Cliff Jordan Strata East - maybe I will get lucky soon. I wish you had bought this collection just prior to my visit to your store last November! Ha. Maybe next time.
Wow. And amazing collection and kept In great condition

Yes! Amazing taste
Harlem River Drive with Bernard Purdie throwing down. Awesome that one was in there.
Dear original owner, well done! This is what I call a collection: well rounded, tasteful, to the point. It's also good to know when to stop: this collection screams "mission accomplished" and it's probably the right time to spread these records back into the world like Dragonballs. I hope you had a nice ride!

"It's also good to know when to stop" - this is what I keep telling myself. Don't buy stuff just for the sake of it. Keep a smallish, curated collection. Swap out ones you won't listen to or are just there to tick a box. Thats what I do anyway, but each to their own!

@@enders357 what do we consider reasonable. I only have like 1500 LPs and maybe the same in 45s. Dudes that own 10,000 can never realistically listen to all of them again so when and where is the cut off for us lunatics? What do you guys consider as the high limit for a manageable collection you can actually listen to and enjoy. I swear other guys just having grails collecting dust. I know Dylan definitely listens to his and I strongly respect he opens his sealed records to listen to. I cannot stand the idea of people intentionally keeping something sealed! It’s made to be played.

I have basically 90% of what you showed. However, it took me over 35 years to obtain. I could not imagine just walking into a place & getting all that at once. What a score!!!❤
Your son has a lot more colouring to do. Nice haul. As always!
What a great collection! I got those two Henry Texier records; amazing stuff.

That was...I'm lost for words!
I've been digging for Magic of Ju-Ju for yeeeears. Tremendous score. That Maggot Brain has me salivating. That The Shining soundtrack is gonna make someone's day for sure. Hard Hitter is a hard hitter. Black Merda is legit as all get out. I just bought a repress of that Warhorse repress from you, but that swirl is next level tasty. Original Cans can never be in the bins enough. Sooo much killer stuff.

Black Merda is one of the great "My Soul's Been Psychedelicized" bands. Other psychedelic soul LPs worthy of tracking down are Power of Zeus, Scorpion, Velvert Turner Group, Purple Image, Madhouse. The list goes on.

Love that Power of Zeus! I have a repress. Don't sleep on the Temptations' psychedelic soul era.
Hey Dillion, amazing haul. Looks like it was well worth the trip! Good to see you last Friday and thanks again for letting me hang out all day. I had a blast! If you want to get rid of those uk vertigo’s just let me know! Glyn

It's been a little while since I tuned into a video of yours. I am glad I watched this one. Unique collection of mostly stuff I am unaware of. I liked how he organized his collection. Nice furniture. It's a bummer he wanted to sell it all but I am glad it's going in your collection and your shop.

Awesome score. Nice road trip video. Bring Dom back for sure. I just scored a test press of The Conqueroo from the Vulcan Gas Company it was pressed at MayKing records. I think you recommended it years ago in an early heavy rotations. Also picked up Lucifers Friend s/t and Banquet plus an original Flower Travellin Band - Make Up. Thanks again for the passion and knowledge you bring for guys like me so we can enjoy and expand our collections with killer not filler !

Incredible! Thanks for sharing this, been hanging for the video since seeing the highlights on IG. Not sure if this is the kinda info you want to share but I'd love to know what your approach was to making an offer on a collection like this? Obviously not going into numbers but just how you would even begin to break it down and arrive at a figure.
Other than your collection Dillon, this is the sickest collection I've ever seen. I'm going to have to rewatch this one when it's not so late. I like to take screenshots (and crop down to the cover) and write down the artist(s) and title(s) so I can go look them up. It's going to take some time to research these. keep on rockin' in the free world.

Nice Miles Ahead. Original cover.
Crazy collection..all killer, no filler. Hell's Belles is one of my favourite OSTs. The drums just sound so fat on it. Too many amazing records to mention.
its not fair! you get all the rekkids!
Well Yeasus.......I just got a wholes years worth of NEW to me music to listen too now.
Freaking weird - I just discovered that Dorothy Ashby Afro-Harping myself a few days ago, and it’s like the third record you show! I dig it!
Oooh Plantasia!!
Strata/Strata East, Black Fire, Black Jazz, Blue Notes & all over in between. This is the type of collection I come across only in my dreams

Yes! Amazing stuff!
Yusef Lateef's Jazz Mood is worth the trip itself! Very hard to find OG. I almost bought one online, but it wasn't very well taken care of and the seller misinterpreted the condition. I just bought a 20's repress because I just had to have it on vinyl. It sounds pretty good but one day I'll get a nice clean OG. It's hard to get anything like that collection in California. They are either gone and in someones collection or being sold for astronomical prices. Awesome collection!
I need the Halloween soundtrack!!
My head exploded…I have to go lie down….!! 😮
Dude you should do a collection video series - going through all your records for hours👌
@noblerecords

I thought about it 🤣 that would be a long video
Never thought I would hear the words Jazz/Funk/Harp used together.. :)
You know it's a hot collection when you don't even show that copy of Speak Low, which is one of the rarest jazz records on the planet!

damn a lot of heat there guess that cost a pretty penny
Harlem River Drive is a great Album. I listen to it on Tidal now, reminds me a bit to the better stuff of War. Most of the other Albums are a lil bit to "Jazzish" for me, Thanks for the recommendation!
Is there an easy way to tell if something is a first pressing or do you have to look it up somewhere? Awesome collection
Did you guys go to "Rock Roll Heaven" ?, used to visit when I lived down there in 2012. Great store!

Wasnt able to make it there unfortunately
I sysed more gong Gazeuse! And You I would love to have !
The guy you bought it from already regrets selling it to you!!... I know I would If I did... Great find.
Somebody pinch me! What a dream collection. GO DYLAN!!!
Great video and amazing collection! Can anyone tell me what’s the name of the Japanese album with red art cover that shows at 30:37? I used to listen to this album but completely forgotten the name. Thanks
I want dibs on them horror soundtracks!!
congrats on the collection! gettin a weird deja-vu watching this as there is so much overlap with stuff in m own collection. this guy and myself must have crossed paths digitally to trade/buy/sell records in the past. like 80% of stuff show are things well worn by myself over the years (minus the bathory and harder edged rock adjacent titles)

Wow !!! Zombie's Odessey an Oracle album is my al-time favorite too, this one is at the same level as a Beatles' album. T2 with Keith Cross on guitar ought to have been the next Cream/Clapton in the early 70'S. But the destiny had it otherwise, due to lack of support by Decca and Keith having to deal with tinnitus problem, the band's life lasted only 1 years..sad
After getting all these are there any other lps u want?It take me rest of my life just to play em once 😆
My Loawrd man. ALL of these are big money LP's! That Oneness of Juju - Space Jungle Luv for example can fetch $1,700 or more. Can't even imagine what the whole buyout set yah back.
@noblerecords
Жыл бұрын
Nah not that much, that juju is around $300ish
Yo @noblerecords - Dillon, you gonna be bringing the heat for RSD? I don't really do the traditional RSD thing, but I was thinking of heading out your way from Raleigh this Saturday..
