Hi Dillon, I grew up with The Litter in the Twin Cities during the 60s. Saw them open for the Cream in May, 1968 at the New City Opera House in Minneapolis. I scored a copy of "Distortions" many years ago.

About 20 years ago I was in Goodwill browsing the records. I started talking to another man looking for records, He said he used to play in the Pyramids surf band. He was looking for one of his records as he didn't keep any over the years and now he couldn't find one. I told him I have two of them. I told him that he could have one if he signed the other one and he stopped by the next day and I gave it to him and now I have a signed copy.

Amazing finds as always Dillon! I found Distortions by The Litter at a local record shop for only $50 in decent shape just this last summer and I continue to be blown away by how mindblowingly heavy it is for a record from 1967. Codine is one of my all time favorite garage psych tracks 😎

The Litter Distortions is one of the greatest garage albums of the 60s, many bands of the genre had a good 45 but few could carry that quality across an entire LP. Despite having some covers most of them are distinct and their version of Codine is an all time top favorite cover for me.

I really like watching your Grail finds and please keep them going. You have turned me on to many vinyls and I’ve bought a few that you have shown.I like the Toads you showed on one of your videos and bought that vinyl. I got the McPhee,I really like that one and Weed like that too.Comus was very interesting,I may get that as well some different.I watch your videos and pause on every album and look it up on KZread and sample to hear which vinyl your showing.Takes me a couple of hours to watch your video with sampling the album.I love hearing new and off the mainstream music.I grew up in the 60’s so I like 60’s andb70’s music. It’s just great jams and fun music.I saw a band called Stud in a window next to your video and they sound great,I may get that too.Wish there was a shop like yours near me,I have one but they don’t really talk a lot of knowledge like you do.I need to go out and find more record stores and see if I can find someone who into talking about music. When I was a teenager I had a decent collection, but young adulthood kick in and I lost it all.So when the pandemic started I began collecting again and now I have a room full of vinyl and building a decent collection,I think.I have metal, rock, pop, disco, singers. But I enjoy looking at the covers, holding the vinyl and playing, like everyone else, fun and relaxing. It get my mind off the BS that’s going on today and have good thoughts for awhile.Anyway Thanks for all the info and please keep it going,I’m spending a fortune watching your videos.☮️❤️🤘

Old dude (50) but new collector even though I did buy 150 or so 60s-80s rock/country/rap albums at Salvation Army for a dime each 15 years ago. Your "how to" videos are invaluable to guys like me who don't have a clue where to start. You may have already done one (I'm working my way through the channel) but a recommendation video of lesser known vans comparing them to famous ones would be great. "If you like Skynyrd, you should try ***" type thing. All genres from all eras. I'm in Greenville, SC and get up to the Charlotte area often doing comic cons. I look forward to dropping by the shop sometime.

I love Psychedelic Moods by The Deep. It's the 2nd record after the Blues Magoos, Psychedelic Lollipop to have "psychedelic" in the title. I think the liner notes are by Neil Bogart, who later made lots more money in the 1970s by heading Casablanca Records, where he was responsible for discovering Kiss and Donna Summer, in addition to doing truckloads of cocaine. But when psychedelia was about to hit in 1966, he sure knew how to cash in on a trend. It is a great example, both for aesthetic reasons and historical reasons, of the psychedelic subgenre known as "exploito" or "psychsploitation." A lot of these exploito and psychsploitation records that were cash-ins are actually major grails now, because they sold with very little advertising or distribution & they often have killer session players playing on them. Even the ones that aren't as rare are often good because of the quality of the sidemen playing on each track.

It’s an adjective. Just a word. I mean, 70s hard rock is more brutal than folk, less brutal than Black Metal or whatever. I didn’t say 70s rock was the most brutal music ever. No need to over analyze a word 🤣 Listen to: Fraction - “Come Out Of Her” There’s a lot of 70s Hard Rock that most people don’t know about, that’s not like Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones, it’s Harder. More…Brutal.
