Mexican pizza was the main thing I always got every time I went to Taco Bell, I would always get 2 or 3 of them, they were great!! When I pulled into the drive thru and learned they discontinued it, I was pissed!! Since then, I really dont eat at Taco Bell anymore! BRING BACK THE MEXICAN PIZZA!! PLEASE!!!!

I worked at the first Taco Bell that had the Mexican Pizza on their menu. Fall of 84, I transferred to a Taco Bell R&D restaurant in Santa Ana, CA that test-marketed new items. The Mexican Pizza was already on the menu. In the Spring of 85, it went on a national rollout. It was a HUGE success!

I get the feeling that we are being played and left wanting so that they can get a massive resurgence of the Mexican pizza to help their bottom line. I admit, If they do bring it back, I will get one immediately. It and a regular crispy taco are my favorites. I was heart broken when they took the Mexican Pizza off the menu, then I was angry.

It was the best and my favorite thing, I liked to eat when, I went to Taco Bell. I was disappointed when, it was taken off the menu.

I haven't eaten Taco Bell a single time since they got rid of it. I've eaten mexican pizza since I was a young child. It was and still is BY FAR my favorite fast food item of any franchise. It was the only reason I went there (cheesy fiesta potatos were also a plus). I signed the petition the week it was posted and I have not given them any business whatsoever since then. I've also asked my family not to eat there as well. I used to get them at least once a week, at MOST every 2 weeks. I'll be happy to be a TB customer again.

I LOVED the Taco Salad, where you get to eat the salad and then get to eat the bowl. After it was dropped, i managed to fill the space with Mexican Pizza. After it was dropped, i would get the Nachos Party Box, which was like 3 orders of Nachos Supreme, enough to last thru a whole ball game on TV. The last time i looked online, it was also discontinued. I have no reason to go there anymore. Whoever's brilliant marketing strategy it was to get rid of all the Fan Favorites ought to be hung from the Taco Bell sign, bell ringing and all. Needles to say, Taco Bell is deleted from my computer's Fast Food List. 👎

Taco salads were my favorite. I don't even eat there that often anymore.

After they discontinued it, I was motivated to create them myself. I use the beef with my own blend of taco seasoning and also created a recipe for enchilada sauce. It's great people posted their own recipe versions online, too! 🎉

For over twenty years I would order the Mexican Pizza every time with no matter what else I ordered. I barely go now because I can’t get one. Good way to lose a regular customer and I’m Italian so I love pizza.

My favorite was the double decker taco supreme, that was also gotten rid of. I do not think I have been back to Taco Bell more than once since then. Thanks for the video.

$0.99 Cheesy bean burrito. Off the menu delight. Original grilled stuffed burrito before it was XXL. Extra grilled with double baja sauce. Staple for late night drive thru. $0.79 hard shell tacos. Get a bunch for cheap. These are the things I skipped philosophy class for in college. Still a great decision to this day. And always with fire sauce.

The ONLY item I want from Taco Bell is the Mexican Pizza. I haven't been back there since, but if this rumor is True...I'm THERE!!!

The original Pizzazz was great, and so was the Mexican Pizza. Haven't eaten there since they pulled it or the Burrito Supreme. The menu is garbage now, (and it wasn't great before). Mt Dew and garbage ain't great.

I haven't been back to Taco Bell since they got rid of the Mexican Pizza and the Taco Salad...

If you can wrap a Taco in paper, you can also wrap a Mexican pizza in paper as well. Think about it everything is recyclable. Simple solution, use a different recyclable container. Dropping customers favorite items will also drop customers. If every restaurant did this there would be no more restaurants.

There's a problem... (had been a Taco Bell customer for many years, including the time the Pizzazz* Pizza started in '85) The sauce and fat in the bottom ground beef layer makes paper wrapping nearly impossible as it will fall off the sides. The only exception is the CRUNCHWRAP and that is because it is wrapped in an extra burrito-sized flour tortilla. If Taco Bell made a CRUNCHWRAP PIZZA then it could be wrapped on paper... * I've noticed back then it is the same name as one of the characters in the Jem and The Holograms cartoon, but only now I've figured the food item came nationally OVER 6 MONTHS EARLIER.

Enchirito....bring back the gosh dang Enchirito.

Let's all admit the pizza had gone downhill for years. They ended black olives and green onions, and then quit even cutting the damn thing. It was a complete mess with all the toppings in the corner of the box. It was only a matter of time before they added rice to it, to cut costs.

Taco Bell has been a favorite of mine since i was a kid but i haven't ordered a nacho supreme in years ..i can't believe they got rid of it and Mexican Pizza and also Double Decker and the other flavors of Doritos tacos..are they trying to lose customers?

Apparently the Mexican Pizza gained a reputation for making anglo people fart. We used to call it the “Farting Pizza” in East LA.

Boycott Taco Bell until they bring back the Mexican pizza and other much beloved menu items!!! 🌮🌯😉

Our visits to Taco Bell have unfortunately SIGNIFICANTLY DIMINISHED since their pulling of the Mexican Pizza and Meximelt. The crunchtada is not even close. 🙄

The Del Taco Crunchtada could also be called a Chalupa. I used to know them as a Tostada. Its a crispy tortilla topped with beans, meat, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes (or pico de gallo) and sometimes sour cream. The Mexican Pizza is just a Tostada with an extra tortilla on top.... My wife really misses the Mexican Pizzas and I really miss the Enchirito. Way back in the 1980's, Taco Bell served an Enchirito with black olives on it. I would always get extra olives and cheese on mine. Later they stopped putting the olives on them. And then quite a few years after that they dropped the Enchirito altogether. Although many stores would still make them anyways, even though it wasn't on the menu. This happened way before the big COVID menu purge.....

if they don’t bring back the mexican pizza soon, i’m just not going there anymore

This and hard tacos were the only thing I used to get from Taco Bell and unfortunately for some reason, they also closed all the Dell Taco's in St. Louis which was always my favorite.

I go to my local Taco Bell and order several items and then order a Mexican Pizza. When they tell me they no longer have that then I cancel my entire order and tell them I will go somewhere else.

They got rid of so many of my favorite items all while increasing the prices of the few that I still liked. I've stopped going to Taco Bell for a while now. Shame because it was quick, easy, and for the most part, cheap.

It's coming back May 19, 2022! I just got a news app notification of the announcement while watching this.

The last 15-20 times I had the Mexican Pizza, the crispy shells had a slight bitterness which was different than the 10+ years it was my favorite. Remember the Chilie Cheese Burrito? Remember the Meximelt? It seems to be a common theme with these current giant conglomerates.... They seem to cut the exact items on their menu's that happen to be my favorite items on their menu. Also, the Mini-Corndogs at JCI, The Roast Beef at Cheddars Scratch Cooking, these are other casualties I loved. I know you can think of some of your favorites that have been discontinued. These things bring me sadness. lol

I loved watching this. I miss the mexican pizza and after reading some comments realized how much I miss all of these forgotten items as well....meximelt, 7 layer burrito, double decker taco, shredded chicken burrito. Also honorable mentions choco taco and fire nachos! TacoBell used to be soooo good!

I just tried the bowl and was able to change items like black beans for refried beans. Its my new go to just let me choose an extra tortilla as chipotle does. ❤

Good thing there’s Red Baron Mexican Pizza. When the Mexican Pizza and the Cool Ranch Taco Supreme was taken off the menu, I stopped going

I liked the beef and bean double taco. Could eat it on the go and because the soft shell around the hard shell you got the crunch without losing it in nerds. I now make them at home and rarely go to the 🔔.

What about the Encharito those were killer also!

I used to work at Taco Bell and they didn’t really sell much. The sauce used for the pizza sat there all day.

No Enchirito, No Mexican Pizza, No Cinnamon Crispers. Taco Salad. Taco Bell sucks. It even TASTE different now. I used to work for them and NOTHING is the same as it used to be. I've stopped going there.

I don't think Yum Brands really cares anything about its customers or its franchisees. They are bound to have lost business by cutting so many items. I know I only visit once a month now when I used to go 2 or 3 times a week.

They just need to bring it back damnit

I go to Taco Sombrero now to get the Mexican Pizza in my hometown, Gulfport, MS. I do not miss Taco Bell anymore since they got rid of my favorite menu item. Mexican Pizza, come back!!!!

The packaging excuse was lame, all they had to do was put it in a paper sleeve or wrapper just like a crunch wrap. Oh, it'll get stuck to the top you say.....it did in the paperboard packaging too! It's not rocket science, who cares if some cheese and sauces gets stuck on the paper, it never looks like the pictures anyway😒

I have been greatly disappointed in the deletion of the Mexican Pizza. I have since tried eating some of their available foods on the menu only to discover they have hard surface foods and I could not break the surface with my teeth. I had to throw the items away. Now, I rely on the crunchy and soft tacos for a quick bite. If Taco Bell continues on this course, they will lose customer loyalty all together.

Am I showing my age cause I remember when Taco Bell sold the Pizza Hut Personal Pan Pizza? I suppose they were both owned by the same corporation.....and it was identical to the pizza you got at the Hut. Every two or three years, I forget just how BAD Taco Bell food is, and I check one out. Two days ago, I decided to try them again. I went to the drive-thru, and ordered two combination burritos and a small Pepsi. I guess "combination burritos" aren't a thing anymore, cause she had to enter "Bean Burrito" and then "Add Beef".......It took a long time, but they got it, I believe I was charged correctly, and I received my food. When I got home, I discovered the "Drive Thru" lottery had cheated me......I had FOUR bean burritos only, no beef in sight. I would have gone back, but I don't intend to go back again. (well, maybe in two years when I've forgotten this experience)

Some franchises are co-branded Taco Bell/Pizza Hut and will sell some Pizza Hut pizzas. But plain Taco Bell franchises don’t have the Pizza Hut products.

I rarely eat there anymore. The Mexican pizza and smothered burrito were the highlights of their menu. Between their loss and no longer being able to enter the lobby due to lack of staff who will work for their ultra-low wages (drive-through only now in my community), it's not worth it.

The fact it takes almost 12 minutes to say, ”it took too long to assemble and the box was too expensive in the wake of the COVID pandemic.” is why I stopped watching halfway through.

They just don't want to have to fry the pizza shells for just one item. Originally the Taco Lite and the Mexican pizza used the same tortillas to fry up. Its about saving money, not pleasing customers.

That smothered burrito without rice was incredible!!!!

I really loved the mexican pizza, but I made two of them today at home and they turned out pretty good. I also loved the meximelt too so I will make these at home also. I wish they would bring back the taco salad! I ordered this quite a bit!

Why did they get rid of the 7 layer burrito? Can't the employees count past the 5 layer one?

I ate at taco bell every day prior to them dropping ALL my favorite items. I have not been to Taco Bell for the past 6 months at least. They dont care about their customers, I dont care if they stay in business, I no longer eat there.

I always ordered the Mexican pizza and a Doritos Loco taco or a Nacho Supreme. Needless to say, I haven't ordered Taco Bell in a while.

I really miss the grilled stuft burritos. They were the only truly significant burrito offered by TB. The rest are lightweight.

They keep getting rid of the things I like(Mexican pizza, nacho cheese chalupa, volcano burrito.), so I have no reason to go back to Taco Bell unless the bring something back for a promotion.

We make our own tex-mex now, at home. We got tired of having to settle for something we really did not want. A lot of people have created their own tex-mex versions and you can find a lot of recipes online. Additionally, I happen to think making it at home is better as you can control what you put in it and how much.

Frankly Del Taco actually puts filling in their food, and the prices are the same, or even cheaper. Every Taco I get from Taco Bell folds flat,,,, and they got the nerve to charge as much as a Del Taco which is actually filled.

I miss the Mexican pizza. Now I make it at home. Using the Mexican 4 cheese. Refried beans. Hamburger meat mixed with taco bell sauce. Olive. Tomatoes. I drizzle a little A1 sauce on top.

If anyone knows Dolly Parton, let her know about the mexican pizza. I read something lately that her favorite fast food place is Taco Bell, but was disappointed when they dropped the pizza.

TB’s prices are insane right now? I literally cancelled my order tonight as 4 items was going to cost me $18.00 here in Miami, Fl.

Also need to bring back the tostada on the dollar menu too! Back in the 80s they had a large sized taco light that was delicious! And the nachos bell grande was very large back then too!

Two items that should never have been taken off of the TB menu those are The Mexican Pizza, and The Enchirito.

Taco Bell admitted they got rid of the Mexican Pizza because they wanted to save money on the packaging. They said they saved 7 million dollars the year they got rid of it. It was not about safety. It was about money.

The one thing I miss is the smothered burritos 😭

The Mexican Pizza removal was definitely the final straw for me. They got rid of everything we liked, one by one. The Taco Salad, then the Meximelt, and finally the Mexican Pizza. They've made me glad that I am lucky enough to have a Del Taco in our town... I'm sure the loss of my family's ~$1000/year or so means nothing to them, but that's about what it cost them. I have to wonder how many other families did the same. The Steak Quesadilla has brought us back occasionally, but we're primarily a Del Taco family now. (At least as far as Americanized Mexican fast food goes)

We need the Mexican Pizza and Caramel Apple Empanada back ASAP!!!!!! They were my favorite menu items! Thank goodness they still have the cheesy Gordita crunch! They also need to bring back the Chicken Cesar Grilled Stuft Burrito!!!! It was SO good! I worked at Taco Bell all through high school and I’ll never forget when that burrito hit the menu, I ordered it literally every day I worked.

My wife will be so thrilled if Taco Bell really brings back the Mexican pizza. Bread made her sick when she was pregnant with our first child in 2000. She couldn’t eat sandwiches, but she could eat anything from Taco Bell’s menu. Her go-to was the Mexican pizza, and it continued to be until it went off the menu.

I’ve been to Taco Bell only once since they got rid of the pizza. I used to go at least 2-3 times a month

The killing of the Legendary DOUBLE DECKER TACO should be criminal.

My Mom and sisters want this back. I lean more to the nacho bell grande and the gordita that is not on the menu anymore.

The best things they ever had was the Taco Light, Encherito, nachos supreme and the mexican pizza

Drove past a taco bell a few days ago and there were signs all over saying "mexican pizza is back!" And i was like "wait what?" And then realized that ive completely lost touch with the outside world.

I stopped going to Taco Bell when the Mexican Pizza was taken off the menu. I just drove by to see if the rumors were true about it being put back on the menu, only to see a sign that said they were sold out. I bought the stupid tacos, because I was already in line, but it was gross.

One of my favorite. Miss it so much!!

The enchirito is by far the most slept on hidden gem that was ever on the menu. The original with the olives lol

im still demanding the double decker taco back, ive resorted to the cheesy gorita crunch but its not the same. i would put nacho cheese inside the double decker which made it amazing.

Does anyone remember the enchirroto? It came in a dish with hot sauce and sour cream and black olives. That was my all time favorite ❤️

I loved the OG mexican pizza, and the regular one! I am waiting for the return! I need to have this again!

I've been on a "Taco Bell boycott" since 2017 and I'll continue to boycott until they bring back the Meximelt and Double Decker Taco. Del Taco is getting my business and will get my business until the Meximelt and Double Decker Taco, my favorite Taco Bell items, return

Oh yes the meximelt. So yum i forgot about that one. Loved it and double decker tacos. Mexican pizza with green onions was my first fave.

Beef meximelt is a cheese roll up with beef added. And Pico degaeo. When they dropped Pico then I added tomatoes. Try it

@@gwenhenson5005 Because I despise tomatoes, I would cancel the pico de gao and go with just the beef and cheese with some sour cream on the side to dip it in. It was smashing!!!

Miss this! I also miss the Enchirito!

They need to bring back the Encharito, mex pizza, bellburger, tostada and pintos n cheese. Their current menu is total trash. Taco bell has been replaced by Taco Casa for me because they have 4 of those 5 items on their menu here in Texas.

They should bring back the HOT Churro. They're wayyyy better than those sorry cinnamon twists.

Gah - I didn't even know this was gone, but I'm still not over Taco Bell getting rid of their Chicken Enchilada Bowls. Omg, so yum and I loved the red crispy tortilla twists (if that's what they were called? xD) on top. Nom. 💖 I also loved their Spicy Chicken Crunch Wrap.
