Was down at Cayton Bay yesterday and stumbled across some small fossils on a small bit of flat rock on the beach! AND found a round nodule at Robin Hoods Bay beach today! We opened it up and that too has small ammonite fossils inside (we’re getting it prepared by a professional)! You’ve inspired me to have a small interest in palaeontology and geology because of your videos! Keep it up lads! 😁

Any one - within reason - though there are rules about some sites - which are essentially no hammering the bedrock

Phragmocone - "What is the phragmocone of belemnite? The phragmocone records the growth stages of the animal, the juvenile belemnite would have started life in the protoconch and the final chamber housed the animal until death. As the animal grew it would move into successively larger chambers, sealing off the discarded chamber behind it."
