I'm grateful you posted such a long and interesting video today, this past week I've gotten very sick with covid and this was such a nice distraction from how much discomfort I'm in. I hope you guys discover more incredible finds soon!

@@YorkshireFossils The mammites nodosoides ammonites from the danubian cretaceous group look more ugly than nice and they are extremely hard to hunt... i'm the only hunter i suppose...

You are quite knowledgeable! Appreciate details about crocodile fossil. It is probably impossible to find the rest of the crocodile, assuming it even fossilized, after tens is millions of years. As you said, this is all what is left of the creature...
Some awesome finds! Have a good weekend 😊
Nicely done guys. Terrific!

Yes they are both rather handsome, but they're not just a pretty face.
What's interesting in your crocodile there's seven or eight ammonite fossils right there the more you look the more you see
Has the Elly from 8.00 been prepared yet
surely the footage from day 2 had already been included in a previous video?
@YorkshireFossils
Жыл бұрын
That’s correct, we’ve shown a few of these fossil hunts previously and have re-uploaded some footage. Often, the videos have received few views so not many people saw them the first time they were shown
what are the layers in those nodules guys? and how many different ammonites are there?
@YorkshireFossils

It’s iron pyrite and limestone! I actually don’t know how many species there are, but certainly lots!

Thanks for your comment, that’s an interesting point you make. Just to clarify - as well as finding specimens, we also prepare and preserve rare specimens. If people didn’t do what we did, there would be no such thing as fossil displays in museums.

what an absolutely uneducated, ridiculous comment. They arent pulling out complete T-rex fossils worth millions. These things are fairly common. How else are we to learn from these amazing finds? Would you pay more taxes to have it it done by a Govt committee?
