Your King Henry the IV and other western nobles frequently visited the castle. There were entirely rational reasons for such visits. The first - floors in the castle were heated by underfloor ducts, so the comfort of living mainly in winter was in no comparison with English cold habitation. The second - it was good past time hunting for Prussians and Lithuanians and converting them to the true religion. Such trophies were (are) of significant value even afterlife! The third - gathering the bricklayer's labour force was not so easy. Thus, any help was appreciated. The fourth - it was the place for man only. Women and, in particular, wives/queens were not allowed there... although the local disposable females were excepted from the rule. The fifth - the vast forests were safe for gem hunting. There was no Robin Hood dwelling in them! The sixth - ???

The most beautiful city in Poland, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. There is everything here: monuments, great architecture, wind from the Baltic Sea and happy people of the sea. Gdansk is connected with other cities such as: Sopot and Gdynia, which is called the Trojmiasto. Beautiful beaches and tasty regional cuisine.
