Hi Jason (just a suggestion on the chicken bus) I feel side rails for the stairs would be A MUST! Not only will it prevent Brooke from slipping and getting hurt but it will also prevent you and Mary Carl from getting hurt as well

I thought that same thing when they first built the bus and every time I see one of them using those steps. Even one railing would help. It's not going to get safer as you get older either.

I love my dancing gardener back. I’ve been a fan for years. Liking every video because I truly do. But one thing I always remember is your chaketta banana hat and your dancing. That’s what kept me intrigued with your channel. I’m glad you’re cutting a move again. Plus I love how you’re always smiling. I couldn’t pick a better spouse for you than brook. You were meant to find each other. God blessed you both for finding each other.

Nugget, Goldie, Biscuit, Sylvester, Moody and the boys, the chickens and geese, Peaches - I just love seeing them all! Thanks for working hard to make and share these videos!

One of the things I love most about your videos is seeing how naturally you just start loving on the animals, especially when they come up to you. I have seen other channels that are so into making their video that they push them away. It makes me sad to watch them not take the time to give some affection to them. I love that you , Brook and Mary have such tender hearts for the animals and that you treat them like family.

I think the reasoning behind the corn is that their digestive system works harder to break it down which helps them stay warm. That's what I've been told anyway.

It's not that the digestion works harder, it's that the corn quickly metabolizes into sugars, providing energy which converts to heat. This is what distinguishes corn from grains that are slower to metabolize and cause less spikes in sugars. The fast metabolization equals energy.

Roosters are easier to break of bad behavior than geese, but I do mean geese same way

You know it is all about the roots! I would imagine the corn takes more energy to digest, thus producing body heat? Nugget might have thought he was being captured! Neco at Our Brown Farmhouse, has Frankie their Emu and he goes in and out of his house at will without a door! I think closing the door set him off! Just leave the door open and he will go in and out when he wants to. If he's cold, he will figure it out and go where he wants! (You know aa lot of crimes happen at night, so he has to be available! LOL! )

I think your keyword was you listening to your animals needs, not your own needs as a human. You did the best for him by listening to his needs, and he seems to be so much happier with the end result. 👍🏻

I remember shucking dried corn off of the cob in the chicken coop at Grandma's house in Missouri back when I was 3 years old in 1949s. They came running for the corn when Grandma and I began shucking. That was74 years ago!
