And here I am at 71 and live alone. I have been following you for about four years now and look forward each week to a new video. The love that you and Pete share is almost palpable. It's wonderful to see a couple make their dreams come true. You two are great role models. The love is there and, so importantly, is respect for each other. You communicate so well, your videos are not peppered with cursing, you show class and commitment. Your videos always leave me with a smile. And, I am also a breast cancer survivor!

I get so excited when I get the notification for a beach house video. The music 🎶 makes my heart happy!!

It’s not really for spices, it’s a pull-out pantry for any canned goods, bottles of olive oil or marinades etc. Maybe look for an aqua colored bread box for your future shelves next to the fridge. It would be a great place to store your chips & crackers etc and keep a clean look. The counter top is perfect! Your vision is certainly coming together beautifully! 👏👏👏

You and Pete have such a nurturing vibe, not only am I sucked in by the cottage remodel, but by how well you work with each other. My husband and I built a deck together (well, a portion of one), and that was awesome. I also stand by the motto that there is "nothing sexier than a man who can cook!" Loving this series!

I grew up on Lake Huron also, except I’m your Canadian neighbour. I grew up in Sarnia, Ontario, across from Port Huron, Michigan. I miss the Lake so much. Moved away when I was 18.

@@michelewright9090 Hi Michele my parents purchased a cottage 6 miles north of the Blue Water Bridge when I was 3. Lived on the beach from day to night. They sold it when I was 40 now I'm 60. I sure had a lot of memories and truly miss the serenity.

I can’t believe how great your kitchen looks, never mind the rest of the beach house. Wow, so terrific. You could try a corner cabinet in your kitchen by the left of the sink.

I work in a gift store that sells the coral candle holders and the description label says they are made of resin that looks so realistic. Also, for longer burning tealights, we sell a German made type that burn for 8 hours and I can vouch they do. Like they say, you get what you pay for!

We spent 40 years with second home/property in Central Oregon. Took it from sage brush to house. Sold it a couple of years ago and now want to have a place on the Oregon Coast. Just not as easy today to find property as it was 40 plus years ago. I love your place and we keep looking for that place that hits the spot for us.

Hi! Good to see that Pete is wearing a back brace while doing heavy lifting. The counter looks fantastic! From the countertop cutoffs you could make small charcuterie boards or trays and even add small feet or handles to them. I like that your hardware is black to blend in because in such a small kitchen you wouldn't want those "pops of colour" dotting the space. How about a large pretty vintage cookie tin to store all your "num nums" which could also be place on top of the fridge. The fridge magnets are super and the utensil holder is a treasure. The cottage is really looking great! Nice to see the light at the end if the tunnel. And the more I see of the cottage, the area scenery and the things you find thrifting, the more I wish I were 40 yrs younger and my body wasn't so decrepit so I could move to that area.
