Carla, do you know if I can use your discount code if I'm based in the UK? X
"Crafts" that you don't actually make are 'fantasy self' items. (I used to hoard craft supplies so I KNOW lol!) I had to be honest with myself and I donated 95% of my craft items. Now, I *only* buy what I need for a particular craft. I don't buy more *until* that first craft is *finished*

I did that hoarding with scrapbooking. Ugh, after a while it was too much as I agonized over every page I worked on and rarely did I complete more than a handful of pages let alone fill an entire book. I donated the vast majority to an elementary school and only kept some basic tools. What a waste of money!

Fabulous! My only caveat is the horizontal oils and vinegars... they’re going to leak a bit and leave sticky residue for sure. I would either find a spot to store them vertically or put a washable dish towel underneath them to absorb the drips.

I kind of love small kitchens because they really make you think what you really use and you just don’t have that clutter stuff
This was a great makeover and Celina was so sweet. The Guinea pig is adorable! I’ve found that most cleaning supplies are mostly water with either detergent or strong chemicals in them and you don’t really need a specific cleaner for a specific job. Most all purpose cleaners work on everything and you can make your own with distilled water and a little dish soap! Super easy! Grove Collaborative has a great selection as well.

Beautiful job ladies. Wow I bet they go in there and just pull open drawers and cabinets just to admire how pretty and organized it is
That kitchen was superb - it kept on giving and giving - so much space for a very small space. I loved the make-over and almost fell off my chair when you both put the cutlery drawer to rights with little individual baskets. Very satisfying! I would say from her baking supplies and suchlike that your friend likes to cook and to have all her items gathered together in like - and to know exactly what she has and to be able to lay hands on whatever she needs with relative ease must have set off her creative cooking passion - I hope so at least 😊 I also looked up what a raclette is used for - yum!
So fun to watch this! Thanks so much for all of your help Carla - it’s helped my daily life so much! You even inspired me to organize the bathroom cabinet! Haha. Thanks again and hope to see you next time you’re in Europe! 😊❤️

Late to the comment party but as a hoarder, nee, collector and curator of craft supplies, an idea for tiles that may still be around: we took our sample tiles and added little felt pads or those clear gel "feet" underneath to make gorgeous coasters! And longer, larger tiles would make good hot plate trivets. Thanks for letting us into your home.

@Lisawhatshersname
Жыл бұрын
@@Serena.Hope.Eternal eggs in the UK or Europe are usually straight from the farm and not washed like eggs in the States - it's not an "agribusiness" type of thing, or at least less of one. Washing removes the coating that eggs have naturally and removes their protection from the elements and dryness. You can add back the coating by coating them in mineral oil. Just don't use the shells to feed to your chickens (calcium,dried, clean crushed) afterwards, I don't think they would like mineral oil! Although I have heard from people who live over there who say they keep them in the fridge anyway, bcz it keeps them longer.
So cool on so many levels! Paris, organizing, decluttering, the view, a new friend!
I'M VERY PROUD OF YOU , GREAT JOB BOTH OF YOU!!!
What a beautiful kitchen! Some wall mount organization and a place of honour for her father-in-law’s beautiful sculptures would be ideal ❤ With the appropriate dividers and sliding stackable sections, it would be even easier to keep things from sliding around like oils, and other oddly shaped items. Great ideas and teamwork. The reference to “doing the Lord’s work” is fitting. Diet Pepsi sprayed out my nose but it was worth it. 🇫🇷 + 🇺🇸 = organization win!!

Racklet is very popular in Quebec, Canada. We set it up on the table and cook up meat pieces of shrimp...veggies melted cheese. I use it when we have company with a good bottle of wine and wonderful conversation. I can send you one 😀 Love baskets easy to pull out and everything together . Love her kitchen. Blue my favourite colour. ❤
Feng shui is JACKED UP in this space. If the kitchen is the first thing you see you over eat. Efficient space…jacked up though. Throw lots of stuff out. Only thing that can improve it. MAJOR bonus is it is in PARIS

I declutter "crafts" or art supplies or hobbies by asking myself which ones I would do first given a few free hours. If I had the time, which ones am I most excited about doing? I always keep cans down low in case they fall. I thought you would have used the shelves and drawers next to the fridge for food to keep all of the food items close together. Also, my oils leak a bit, so I hope hers won't.

Carla, he sunny, yellow decluttering godess of Paris :-) And I love this series! Its so real - live, and I love your insightful comments. Like having to make one decision after another. In the end, piling up is also a kind of a delayed decision. What I learned is also, that this kind of decision making is like muscle. If you train it regularly, the decluttering will go so much smoother and easier, and in the end, like losing weight, you lost the weight of all of this stuff which used to weigh you down.
Love this the touching the tiles and letting them go, awesome. Another great job and a view of the tower lovely
She could have a raw materials bin for things like the tiles. Works great for crafty artistic people.
Great decluttering work, you two!! Congratulations! big job. The only thing I might have done differently is stored the bin with kitchen manuals and bits of construction on the top shelf over the sink area and put the overflow cans in there instead for easier access.

Much better! Do they not refrigerate eggs? (I saw the cartons for oeufs in the drawer.) Also, best throw a towel over those potatoes or they will sprout faster. They don’t refrigerate eggs in UK and Europe from what I’ve seen
@susannovak8263
Жыл бұрын
In Europe, they don’t wash and sterilize the exterior of the egg before selling. So the cuticle on the outside remains intact and protects the egg for 2 to 3 weeks unrefrigerated. In the US, we remove that protective cuticle during the sterilization process. Refrigeration is then required to inhibit the growth of salmonella.

The spice names on the lid tip is genius, thank you! And haha yep eggs aren’t refrigerated, took me a while to adjust to finding them in the supermarket 😂
Love a good declutter. Is there anyway to make room in the drink station for the tea? I'm not tall so I wouldn't be able to see it all that well. Maybe reserve one container for crafts and that way she can't add more until she is done with a craft. Just a thought.
Personally I would put the potatoes in one of the open shelves in the entry way unit, they made the kitchen look cluttered. It takes another pair of eyes to come up with clever solutions and you Clara have those.
Fantastic job! I would add at least one more shelf in each upper cabinet, as things on top of other things makes it easy to forget what is there, the same as things behind other things. With the extra shelves, you can have just one level of things, easily seen. The tea boxes make it nice to just slide the box with the tea bags and push it back in place again.
This kitchen declutter and organization turned out amazing! The space is used more efficiently now

You both did a great job in the kitchen. My only thoughts are the spice drawer. Spices store the easiest in deep drawers if you use like jars and stand them up with labels on the top. Much less room is taken up. Also the bottles. If the don't fit standing up I like to decant mine into shorter jars to fit better or find a taller place. Maybe store the tall ones in the entry cabinet. The others will leak at some point and make a mess. Still a great job.
