I wish they did a solid black bezel for the new gmts and did different colored numbers to signify day/night. The black/grey bezel works okay with two tone but not the full yellow gold jubilee. The titanium yacht master is the best release this year. Only wish it came on oyster flex. Do you think the titanium bracelet weighs less than oyster flex??
I realised that no one mentioned the Platona with the baguette dial is discontinued and now instead of all ice blue dial , the new baguette dial is with brown sub dials. Small difference but the older one looks nicer and cleaner

@@fortnajt I love my 1984 Air King Date for that reason. I bought it about eight years ago and wear it every day.
I love the 36mm for daily wear.
Z blue Milgauss was so cool. Green sapphire crystal and orange lightning bolt. Sad to see that gone

For the emoji Day Date I reckon they should've done a world timer. Instead of a puzzle motif they could have enameled a map of the world, keeping the light blue colour background as the ocean. But in the day aperture they could've had the name of 7 cities which when turned, activates the digital hour in the date window corresponding to the time of the city selected relative to the time displayed. Now that would have been a cool complication.

Every body has a world timer I think Rolex is going to keep doing what’s been working. Their bread and butter is the Daytona and daydate. Would love a world timer can you imagine what it would cost if Rolex actually did one 😭 probably 200-300k in the market

@@lilripstaSSF4 I can sense Rolex wants to play with the big boys in the holy trinity but they will have to get making complications to compete at that level.They have the money & technology to easily do it. No matter how much it will cost, someone with serious money will always buy it.

@@pat13487 very expensive. My guess would be $50k retail. Grey market probably $80k - $100k. This timepiece will be highly collectible in the future.
This watch will be a collectors item,everyone will want one.
They made the Daytona exactly like the Tudor chronograph it has the metal on the outside of the bezel take a look fellas!!!

Nobody Noticed that SUN DUST Everrose GOLD Dial Daytona with DIAMOND Baguettes is Discontinued and now you have ONLY PLATINUM Daytona that comes with Diamond Baguettes - that should INCREASE the sundust dial price

The one benefit I can think of for Rolex exhibition casebacks is that it should be harder for counterfeiters to copy those models now. Other than that, I believe Rolex's watches are well made and reliable, but their movements are nothing special to look at. IMO at least step up the overall finishing on the open backs now.

The emoji day date will be rare, flipped like crazy, and seen on celebrity wrists. Who with an ounce of taste would be seen with a rainbow Daytona. It’s the look at me, I’ve got pull watch worn by celebrities, being flipped for a fortune.
