Well known as an astute and prolific collector of watches, Sylvester Stallone offers 11 elite watches to lead Sotheby’s Important Watches Auction on June 5th. Among the watches is a Patek Philippe Grand Master Chime still sealed in its original packaging and estimated to sell for as much as $5 million. The Luminor Submersible Stallone wore in The Expendables 2 is also available. Panerai features strongly here, as one might expect from the man who helped put the Italian brand back on the map during the 1990s.

My guess is, he's being beaten up and guilt tripped to all hell by that wife of his and his daughters. If I recall correctly, a couple years ago, out of the blue, there was a divorce filing which was quickly swept under the rug. I'd guarantee this has something to do with that, whether it's in preparation or just going all out to keep things together, it is definitely connected.
If I ain’t mistaken there when he done the video release and what he said he was selling. I think he said because they deserve to go to another new owner and the reason why he was selling them. He enjoyed him and now it’s time for somebody else to enjoy him.
The calatrava is the best patek imo, i bought it in switzerland, it was the right size for me, and it had entirely hand finished movement. Better than the annual calendar. Now, I'm curious to see how much it's worth today, so I'm planning to do a little research.

Great that will fetch you some cash. *I used to be a collector, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $45million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.
I am surprised that Happy Jewelers didn't pool its money with Producer Michael to buy Sylvester Stallone's Patek chiming watch. It only sold for $5.2 million in unworn condition. Nex year it probably will go for over $7 million.
If you want to have a good time then you need a good watch .

That extra 100K from the sealed bag would make no difference for Sly's case. In my opinion, fact its sealed makes it less valuable since Sly never touched the watch. Was it really a Sylvester Stallone watch? Never worn by him. Might as well remove his name from the box since his name attached to the watch is meaningless in this situation. At least he made an ez 2 mil.

Any person buying a $5 million watch has more money than someone could spend in 10 lifetimes. They’re in a completely different world than you. There’s a difference between spending more than you can afford and being so rich you can spend millions like the average person buys coffees.

Southebys are people that know about Royal Dalton dolls, they have no clue about watches so the crazy price estimates.

They always do low estimates so they can say a very high percentage of watches are going over estimate and watch market very strong

Estimates are usually low to attract buyers to the auction.
Sly has a side business going on, he uses his person and image to get very hard to get watches from the manufacturers for let's say $100 the patek XX4511... and then sells "Silvester Stallone's" XX4511 for $250 - $400.😮
It cost real money when the wife is leaving and you did't make a deal before you swop rings...
I say 6.3 mil
