Fantastic episode Roman!! Thank you for the look at Sylvester Stallone's remarkable collection that is up for auction at Sotheby's. Sly was definitely on his game on his purchases, these were the best at the time of their purchase. Most of these watches will more than likely bring in more than expected, not only because of who owned them, but because of the horology they represent. The Patek Grandmaster Chime is top tier for sure. Thank you for such an outstanding episode. 😊

I loved the discussion about pocket watches. I really like pocket watches, to me they represent a kind of elegance that we don't see a whole lot of anymore. But I'm also in the place of simply not knowing much about them or knowing what a good pickup would be. That being said, if I had my pick from that collection, I'd be looking at the Bronzo first because for me Panerai and AP are my first loves.

The calatrava is the best patek imo, i bought it in switzerland, it was the right size for me, and it had entirely hand finished movement. Better than the annual calendar. Now, I'm curious to see how much it's worth today, so I'm planning to do a little research.

Great that will fetch you some cash. *I used to be a collector, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $55million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.

Technical Market Question: Would the sealed Sylvester Patek be considered "New with box and papers" considering that the owner is known? I would assume the greatest long term investement value would be to win the auction and NOT open the 6300 plastic wrapper or wear it? Or does the "celebrity legacy" add more value to the watch such as the Steve Mcqueen Daytona did and go ahead and wear it?

Richarde Mille has had a very great vision for his brand, especially with the contemporary design and approach to complication and sophistication but to say the brand is responsible for the innovation is wrong; The Ferrari watch was an engineering master piece by a technical house, not Richarde Mille the brand. I am still a massive fan of the brand

@@johnd-xd9sn This was an Auction house.Nothing wrong with dressing down...but the guy with the suit isn't up to par...I used to sell 3 piece suits all day and it seems no one cares about the Clothes even if its 3 piece suit missing a tie and a vest and the suit came out of a washing machine at home rather the dry cleaners.
