Inflation was caused by Trump and republicans. With no minimum wage increases since 2009 low wage earners finally had a collective voice once we reopened from covid. The republican senate blocked Obama's increase and Trump never submitted one. Each year since 2009 the cost of living increased but not the minimum wage.. Trump is the first president since the implementation of the minimum wage to not submit an increase. Obama was the first president to have an increase denied. With our reopening workers weren't willing to return to jobs for $7.25/hr. So employers passed the increase on to everyone. Now corporate profits are at 70 year highs. Oil companies have the highest profits but republicans in Congress has blocked committees from investigating price gouging.
