Hate how Nike is marketing and playing into the very stupid “don’t crease your Jordans/Air Forces” trend. Cmon people they’re SHOES, AND ORIGINALLY AN ATHLETIC SHOE AT THAT. They’re meant to be shown love by actually wearing them and putting some miles in them. Hypebeasts and resell culture is ruining the true sneaker culture. Also, $30 more for the same shoe but less real leather. That’s such a rip-off, even coming from Nike.

I had been buying Nike off and on for about 40 yrs. Only 1 pair that was actually made of high quality, I bought just over 20 yrs ago. After 3 years of daily wear, the leather never separated, creased, nor cracked. The inner sole never collapsed. The outer sole consisted of circular grooves throughout in gum. Eventually the soles wore down. They were called Max Air but were different than the 95s and Nike never continued the shoe. I guess it was too expensive to make.

I heard a lot about AF1 and bought a pair (from a real shop) some time ago. Worst shoes I've ever had (and that's saying a lot. I am not spending big money on shoes!). So stiff and uncomfortable. After 3 months of regular walking, the sole was worn out and letting water in. The leather looked terrible. The shoe inside stinks (and I have relatively dry feet). Nike recently announced that they won't raise the retail price of Dunks like they're doing us all a big favor, but they've lost all of my trust and I think there's a high chance they're just going to start using even cheaper leather than before. I would love if you could do a comparison of like a mid-year Dunk release and new releases in the next month or two. Just swapping out like 50% of the suede for cheap canvas and still charging the same price. I want them to keep getting called out for this practice no matter what model it is because it’s deceptive especially when they’re communicating directly with the consumers acting like they’re keeping the same price like they’re helping out when really they’re just selling a cheaper shoe to increase their margins.

In fact, THIS shoe seems to be engineered to fail at an increased price and with worse materials. I can only imagine given another weeks use those new shoes would already be splitting. I don't understand why people can't open their eyes to this and speak with the only thing that matters to companies, the wallet.

Always doubted the pricing at which Nike has been selling those.... In India, we buy it for like over 9000/-Rs which is over 110$.... For that money we have local options selling similar quality shoes for under 30$ and which really do last long, we wear them for atleast year and half before planning to purchase new.... Spending 110$ and them wearing out under 8 months is illogical, we used to think that well, this is luxury stuff for High Class people living in Posh areas... But even that doesn't seems to be the case..... I have been a Boot guy and Leather enthusiast, so sneakers as whole is something I don't understand, neither do I want to with their trendy appeal against the Class and CHOICE and discipline a Boot & Leather footwear or apparel user exudes in general..... But again, 110$ for something that is prone to early wear out with cheap leather and just a poser shoe for showing off that NIKE Logo a senseless foreign Pop Culture hype train ... It's pure waste off money.....
