I'm a big fan and have been for years and any hardcore fan would've seen his Twitter where it's obvious he's a gamer. I also watch Ludwig. So this surprised me at first, but after a sec it made total sense. No actor is actually the persona they put on for the cameras.

“Is your mother lovely?” had me rolling, and the best part is I know Slime is just out here asking genuine questions and trying to connect, he’s not being a jackass but it takes people aback and it’s so goddamn funny. (Note: for all I know Slime is actually a serial killer off camera, it just seems like he’s just out here being human-to-human with people and it takes them by surprise lol)

I think the main problem with the yard having guests is that the core group has so much natural chemistry between them that the guest sometimes feels alienated or something more of a listener than a guest on the pod. The fact that makes this podcast one of the best out there is also what makes is somewhat weird when they host guests, in my opinion.

I was quite skeptical of this episode because I see it as the same way as you. But I thunk Asa did a really good job and kinda fit in even though he didn't talk as much as in like a interview. I was down with almost everything. I'm surprised how well it went.

I'm sure that the guest, in that case a well known actor, loves the idea to be in a conversation where he is not always the center of attention. And yes at first you need to feel the group, but here Asa got it quickly and from what I watched, I'm sure he liked it.

Having chemistry doesn't necessarily mean you will alienate your guest. Literally the first thing Lud asks is "do you think he is going bald?". Of course it's fucking uncomfortable. Just comfort your guest better, hosts.

Asa is one of my favorite actors and this is a crazy thing to come across. Never would've expected him to meet the boys :0

i love this. you always see actors in these late night shows and talk shows and its always the same generic questions. but this was such a down to earth chat and not so much an interview. it was great.

this was a great episode and asa is just such a genuine and nice guy.

As a 30 year old man, God I love this podcast. It's almost like still having friends.

18:46 My dad is from the US and we moved to England when he was 31. We've lived here for almost 22 years now and he hasn't picked up the accent so yeah that can be the case (my mum is already English so ofc nothing changed for her). He still has an American accent but just not quite as strong, like it sounds very American to everyone here in England but when we visit his family back in the US, it sounds more watered down compared to theirs and the other citizens'.

Aiden’s question @34:30 is actually an extremely good question to ask.

Per Nicks question at 18:40, I've heard that it's usually around 12 years old. Obviously it differs person to person but that's usually around the age where people start to develop their own accent.

Love him in the movies, he's so chill! This was great to watch!

This is probably silly, but my whole takeaway from this is that I hope Asa actually watches Ludwig's acting reel, because I've said it multiple times, I think he's actually really great at it, and has excellent timing with his delivery

just a tip for filming indoors in EU. their electricity runs at 60 Hz as opposed to the USA's 50 Hz... So change the frame rate on your camera to not match the frequency of electricity so that lights don't look like they're flickering all the time :)

You got it backwards. Europe uses 50 Hz, which is why their TV is 25 fps. It’s North America that uses 60 Hz.

Frame rate is not the issue, it's a function of mostly shutter speed. Sometimes your shutter speed and the frequency of some lights electrical supply can line up in a way to flicker, but it's not common and won't always happen even on the same shutter speed.

This is literally the only other time in my ENTIRE life I have ever heard someone else mention drop bears outside of the aussies that first told me about them all those years ago😆

That was my favourite movie for years, or at least what I labelled as my favourite movie because I don't watch all that many movies. I just looked him up again and he was in the nanny mcphee sequel, Hugo, and the boy in the striped pyjamas.
