The shaky La Parka legs were AWESOME!! LOL

This was the game me and my brother got the Christmas we got our N64. We were both hardcore WCW fans and this game was released at the height of WCWs popularity and wrestlings in general. Probably the 2nd greatest wrestling game ever made after WWF no mercy.

Jonathan Turbide if my memory serves me correct he’s sort of in the game, I believe he’s a manager for someone ( can’t remember who) and if you have a empty controller not being used you can take temporary control of him or any other manager.

4:47 Phychosis, Rey Mysterio Jr, 5:10 Ultimo Dragon and 6:44 Han Zo Mon were the charcters me and my brother always played as. We had no idea who they were but we loved em. Time flies.

My favorite characters were Sting, La Parka and Raven because of how cool they looked. I started watching wrestling in 2003 and this game introduced me to WCW.

The characters face in that game were funny tho. I always use to laugh when they would come running out

Best Roster ever. Hands down. Only guys missing from the 98 wcw time period are: Ric Flair Steve McMichael Arn Anderson Wrath Norman Smiley Rick Martel Ernest Miller Super Calo Silver King Dennis Rodman Karl Malone WCW was so hot in 96-98. Still a desaster that this company went down just in short time after these great years. Other wrestling games with an outstanding amazing roster are: Showdown Legends of Wrestling Smackdown Here comes the Pain WWE 2K14 (the retro / Legends) It would be so cool if WCWnWo Revenge would get an updated HD Version with great graphic but the same gameplay. And the real entrance themes of course. WCW and nWo 4-Life

It can't be the best roster ever for a WCW game if Ric Flair is not in it. The best, deepest roster of all time is in Fire Pro wrestling Returns. 325 wrestlers, from The Funks to Nakamura, from Daniel Bryan to Lou Thesz, from Rikidozan to AJ Styles, to mma legends like the Gracie family and women's wrestlers like Bull Nakano and on and on....no game can touch that roster.

I remember Alex being pretty OP in this game. I think doing his dance taunt actually charged him up. I'd troll my friends with that taunt throughout the match then get a three count on the first German I hit!

I remember the first time I played this game. I was 7 years old and my cousin had just bought the game a night before. So he came to my house early in the morning to surprise my brother and I that he got the game. So we got up to play it. That intro got us so hyped! We only played for a few minutes, since we had to go to school. I remember not wanting to go to school, and spent the entire day thinking about that intro and gameplay at school.

LOL at Rey being taller than Juve.

This game should've had Arn, Flair, Mongo, and playable Rick Rude. Maybe another WCW section with some of the notable veteran D-List wrestlers like Bobby Eaton, Hector Guerrero, and Chris Adams. Still a really stacked roster though. Great time to be a fan.

LOL THIS IS THE GAME I WAS LOOKING FOR. wow the costumes are so nostalgic to me.

The sound track, probably the best of the games done on this engine.

Back in the day when it came out I played this religiously after school until I had to go to bed no bullshit. I love this game so much. I had an older brother 10 years older than me. So when I was a kid he had moved out so this was my only form of entertainment and my parents were alway working. Luckily I still have my og n64. Literally only thing I have from my childhood.

I was glad there was an awesome game with Rowdy Piper in it.

I remember me and my brother would always play this and just to troll him i always pick Goldberg and just spam The Spear over and over. Ah good times

Amazing game loved it. I remember playing it in 98 with my cousins

This roster was INCREDIBLE!! 💯 Even the EWF and DAW Rosters were a nice addition. Those guys ARE real pro-wrestlers of that time. FMW and Japanese Legend Hayabusa R.I.P is in the DAW Roster.

You should've also gone through some of the extra costumes like Hulk Hogan.

I always used Alex Wright so I could taunt my opponent to death, nobody else had a more humiliating taunt that Alex's. I'd just drop kick and taunt all day, pissed the fuck out of my friends lol (Check out the taunt @ 5:20 of the video)

When you say "on other titles", do you mean other games or on the other championship belts in the game? Also, I'm sure you know or heard by now, Dr. Frankenstein and the others from 5:30 on were based on real pro-wrestlers of that time. For example, Han Zo Man is the legendary Japanese wrestler Hayabusa R.I.P.

IF this game had : entrance themes for the wrestlers, different ring looks (as far as the turnbuckle pads colors), running grapples, and match types (like a regular steel cage), this game would be in BEST Pro-Wrestling video game EVER conversation universally.

In my years of playing this game I’ve done a lot of CPU vs CPU comparisons of wrestlers and one who always seems to rise to the top was Jekel from EWF due to his toughness and submissions. I carried Jekel’s legacy on into other AKI wrestling games building up his gimmick. His finishing combo that was unbeatable was a belly to back German suplex off the ropes where you have your legs wrapped in the ropes. This move pulls you back up to the top rope after performing it setting up the next super into a flying elbow and then have enough time for a submission finisher. It was OP but so was Jekel. Lol. Wasn’t ever really sure who he was based off of though. See what happens when you put anyone from the game against Jekel in a CPU vs CPU match.

BOTH of them were real pro-wrestlers from that time period. They're made up in this game but they're 💯% real. Not sure who Kim Chee is in real life, but Han Zo Man is the legendary Japanese wrestler Hayabusa R.I.P. You may know already, but the EWF and DAW Rosters are real pro-wrestlers.

He has two special diving attacks off the turnbuckle (otherwise, he just taunts). But that’s it. That being said, pressing strong grapple gives Bischoff a roundhouse kick that has KO potential.

I commented this in another thread, IF Revenge had : 1. Running grapples 2. Different colored turnbuckle pads like they did in real life (My thing, nobody has to agree) 3. A couple more match types (ESPECIALLY a Steel Cage match) 4. And POSSIBLY the wrestlers actual Entrance Music This games ends up universally being argued as THE GREATEST Pro-Wrestling video game EVER, IF these features were there, in MY humble opinion.

Can anybody explain EWF or DAW??? And I low key loved AKI man because I think he had the longest jump range in the game haha

They are fictional wrestlers with move sets based on real Japanese wrestlers. The previous game, World Tour, had guys that looked like the Japanese wrestlers and just changed the names, but in this one they changed the looks too, leaving just the real wrestlers’ moves.

If I'm not mistaken, Han Zo Man is The Legendary Hayabusa R.I.P, Shogun is AJPW Legend Kawada and Jekel is The Legendary DR. Death Steve Williams R.I.P. Is Dake Ken FMW Legend Onita?!? Lmk which I'm right or wrong about, if you know.

To the post : Highly debatable. I disagree. My top 2 are WWF SD-HCTP and WWF No Mercy. That said, I 💯% respect your opinion. I LOVED WCW/nWo Revenge, it's an All-Time favorite of mine.

He looked fat in this game too? I forgot. I know he looked like a fat f___ in WCW vs The World on Playstation though.

They didn't have the complete 4 Horsemen. No Ric Flair and Arn Anderson on the game.

Gotdamn the graphics were rough but the gameplay was Legendary.

The graphics may not be the most top-notch for you, the gameplay blows away most of the Pro-Wrestling games released after it though. Smackdown Here Comes The Pain and WWF No Mercy are my Top 2. That said, I have serious love for Revenge.

Not surprising when it was made by the same developers using the same engine, etc. Same goes for No Mercy, Revenge, World Tour and the Virtual Pro Wrestlings!

​​@@WrestlingVideoGames I thought Revenge looked better than WM 2000. I wish Revenge just had a couple other features. It would be universally discussed as one of, if not THE GREATEST EVER, with just a couple of added features. I love Revenge though.
