Heavyweight Championship With Sting - WCW/NWO Revenge For The Nintendo 64
WCW/nWo Revenge is a professional wrestling video game released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64 game console. It is the sequel to 1997's WCW vs. nWo: World Tour. Like its predecessor, Revenge features AKI's revolutionary grappling system as well as heavily improved graphics, a championship mode, and a large roster of wrestlers (real and fictional).
Revenge gained critical praise and tremendous commercial success. According to a 1999 article by IGN, Revenge was the best-selling wrestling game for the N64 console,[2] and at the time, was the top selling third-party Nintendo game ever.[3]
Revenge was the last AKI-developed WCW game for the Nintendo 64. The next WCW game released for the Nintendo 64 was a version of THQ's earlier WCW Nitro. The next AKI wrestling game released for the console, WWF WrestleMania 2000 sported THQ's newly acquired World Wrestling Federation license.

This games graphics haven't aged well, but I'd still play it in heartbeat if I had it. This was really fun to play.

the graphics add to the charm for me. and honestly the gameplay still is fun. todays graphics have improved but the games arent fun and lack innovation

I'm still playing this via N64 emulator on my android device. ;)
What kind of irritated me about this game is you had to attempt to pin your CPU opponent at least 2 times before they did a 3 count. Also how your opponent flew to the ropes while in a submission made me turn off rope breaks. However WCW NWO REVENGE is still one of the best wrestling games of all time and hands down the best WCW video game ever.

Yeah, so true. That was really weird. You could literally destroy your opponent with 3 finishers in a row, they would still kick out at 2 if you didn't try to pin them at least 2 times in the match. It was the same weird thing with submission moves, they never gave up. At least not before you've tried it several times. The successor WWF Wrestlemania 2000 was a huge improvement when it comes to this. Finishers actually ended a match.
