One thing that I really like about Keikis design is, that her color scheem primarily uses prime colors, which can be used to create any other color if mixed together correctly.

I will die on the hill that Keiki's leitmotif at 0:34 is a better character-specific theme than any other character's in the franchise, even including the Yakumo family's from Necrofantasia/Necro-Fantasy. There's just something so amazing about any time it plays, no matter the soundtrack or instrument. It almost sounds heroic and menacing at the same time, which fits the morally grey story and Keiki's blurred line between being a hero and a villain.

This OST never ceases to amaze me. Also Holy Shit this picture is badass. I can't wait for when Idolatrize World comes out tomorrow. It's one of my favorites themes in the entire series

This beat is so peculiar, it's quite unique for a touhou theme, and THE PIANO GODDAMN. That melody is just divine I couldn't ask for a catchier final boss motif!! Also Retrologue incense candle lol

This is by far THE best Final Stage theme and you can't tell me otherwise. Also seeing a full on techno stage in Touhou almost made me faint of excitement.

The progression of this song gives me some serious Ultimate Truth vibes. Final stage themes never disappoint, but these two in particular are incredible.

Absolutely adore that electric blue fadein you've done. Scarlet always makes the most gorgeous videos... I really love this theme, it's technological but still very Touhou-like and I like how the use of Keiki's leitmotif is handled.

Who needs Cyberpunk 2077 when we have TH17 and Deus Ex GOTY?

Touhou 17 has at least a couple more references to Undertale. Like the fact that most of the game plays out underground, with animals fighting against humans.

So powerful yet so calm clearly a stage 6 theme

I think Electric Heritage and Entrusting This World To Idols sounds and feels very different, boss theme is more intimidating while this is very modern and chill

You know , the plot twist is just so messed up. It reminds of lolk, where you are in neutral side tho, like “none of my business”. And I don’t know , maybe the beast spirits are at the wrong side here, for using human spirits as slaves to them. Those beast spirits sure are wily and cunning like gangster or yakuza, so yeah we cannot trust them. What if we just let keiki be, saving those human spirits?

Well, neither side is right or wrong. Yes, the beast spirits enslaved humans, but Keiki's done basically the same thing, except the human spirits either don't realize or accept it. This is Hell, after all. If people are here, it's because they did something horrible enough to warrant it. It's survival of the fittest here. That doesn't mean we have to like it, but we can't exactly do anything here, as we're the interlopers.

Mayumi saying "everything feels like a dream" (or something close to that) is weirdly fitting with the music and gives a weird but cool feeling

Man, I remember back when the game was released, and many people were in a flurry talking about the plot point. I actually sided with the beasts because I sorta liked them more than Keiki, but in the end I see that both of them threatened the peace of Gensokyo if the balance of the strong eating the weak was upset, and like it or not, the protagonists (Reimu especially) have to restore the spirit realm's rule. Pragmaticism and all that. Still, I pity Reimu and co. They have been manipulated and thrust in scenarios they are very unfamiliar with for the past 3 main games. First the Lunarians, then the sages, after that the beast spirits&Keiki.

In Visionary Fairies it feels like they added an intentional jab at this even, when after the fairies "solved" the issue regarding Okina Reimu jokingly points out that "recently all the incidents have been beyond my control" and "maybe I should just let the fairies do my work from now on".

Consider the fact that HSiFS and the Stone Cherry incident was caused by a being that Kasen claimed to be a misfotune to know, it is truly beyond Reimu control as she was in Okina control the whole time. Also Hell is the part of the world that even strongest people don't even want to be near, it is understandable that the protags have no idea how thing suppose to be there and got tricked.

Final Stage themes are usually short but this is very different and uniqe, even tough its similar to boss theme it doesn't get shadowed by the boss

Keiki has a really amazing stage theme ^-^

Going against the grain here by saying I'm not too big of a fan of the Final Stage themes sounding overly similar to the Final Boss themes recently. It feels spoilery? Does that make sense? From a musical leitmotif standpoint, I can absolutely see why ZUN would make it this way, but I feel like the experience is already half over by the time the boss battle starts. I like it even less *because* Keiki's theme is so good. Like, really, really fucking good. But there's too much of it in here. It's like more than half of it, even the Theme of Eastern Story part. LoLK was a big sinner in that regard as well, but not as blatantly like it is here. I don't think ZUN is getting lazy, but it feels like the Final Stage themes aren't getting much love from him anymore. Maybe it's because they're short, they've always been. But you can't tell me Ultimate Truth, Voyage 1969, Fires of Hokkai and Cemetery of Onbashira weren't absolute bangers.

imo Idolatrize World should have way more melodies that differ from the stage theme, in order to differenciate her theme to the stage theme more, the only thing that caught me offguard (thus was really nice to my ears) was the start of her theme and nothing else, the rest were repetitive, the music wasn't getting surprisingly greater.

@@Bravidunno I think the problem was that the similar portions of her stage and boss theme are too similar. If zun made electric heritage have a different melody, when her boss theme plays, the chorus would catch some listeners off guard

The intro animation imo didn't have to be that long, but I digress. I like how this theme keeps you on your toes while slowly marching through the corridor of the Primate Garden, having then an emotional melody as the midboss comes (FINALLY I'VE BEEN WAITING SINCE TOUHOU 14), and then ending up with the theme of Eastern Story. But I wonder why ZUN chooses to put the latter in Keiki's stage and boss themes in particular. Also I should've heard it coming that having an emotional melody in a stage 6 theme means that it will be in the final boss's theme.

Stage 6 of wbawc is fucking nuts, just because the concept's so wild. pc ends up in the beast realm/"primate garden" and instead of plant life or such all of it's a hella technological landscape and the beast spirits are completely shocked by it. Goes to show how far keiki went and that yeah even if she's on the human spirit's side, she's not exactly a great person/deity. -hahahahhh stage 6 boss motifs in stage 6 theme-

Electric heritage is basically a remix to Idolatrize World and I love it
