Today is my dad's birthday he passed and I listen to Waylon because when I was youngeri used to go on the road with him in his truck semi truck he was a truck driver. Being his youngest daughter I was daddy's girl. I wanted to be a truck driver for the longest time. Anyhow he loved listening to Waylon and I love listening to him sing to it.

I’d rather sit and listen to soulful, timeless music like Waylon’s all day and night than watch Netflix any day. Love this stuff. It’s better than alcohol or any drug you can put in your body. If you add a drink or two while listening, that ain’t a bad idea either. Tends to help the singing voice!

I was stationed in DC in the early 90's (AF Presidential Honor Guard) and OMG!! How many Saturdays and Sundays my hillbilly friends and I spent on the Potomac River in a 16ft aluminum boat ... FISHIN' and SANGIN'.... surrounded by million dollar yachts who were more interested in cocktails than fishing. One guy would bring his guitar and we'd sing songs from Waylon and Cash as loudly as we could, mixed in with quoting Ric Flair promos as we yelled at the fish telling them we were about to catch 'em all - Bass! Catfish! Wooooo....... among the greatest memories of my entire life! Thank you Waylon from a fellow Texan!

I grew up listening to Waylon and friends. I loved him when I was a I'd and still do. I learned my father isn't doing so well and Idiscovered Waylon all over again. I listen to a lot of Outlaw Country on SiriusXM. There's a guy named Whitey Morgan whose band has that same Waylonesque feel with the steel guitar and hard-driving drums and bass. Saw him in concert a few years ago and he put on a damn good show. He's definitely not the second-coming of Waylon, but nice to hear new music with at "outlaw" sound and feel.

They had a special relationship... When Waylon Jennings died ,at least Jessi Colter had son Skooter for comfort... But that's still not enough , to keep her from mourning 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

MY ENTIRE CHILDHOOD my father talked about meeting this wonderful country singer that my record player was always filling our house with his music on the weekends and nights that nothing would be worth watching on the tube....lol....tv to those of you young readers, and my father always picked his guitar to the old great country legends......anyhow; when I was 7 and 8 yrs of age.....i remember going to CIRCUS CIRCUS and this was back in the early to mid seventies; when my dad saw WAYLON coming down this spiral staircase and I was shocked to see my father and WAYLON...the great WAYLON JENNINGS.......sit down right there with two other men and pick together!!!! The crowd loved it. Fond memory. Ty to WAYLON and my HEAVENLY FATHER ( DADDY ).

So have i. My father was a Waylon fan in the 70's. Long story short: i saw Waylon in Hampto Beach,NH and since i was staioned at Camp Pendelton,Ca my father and i drove across country andwe stopped in Las Vegas and Lo and Behold Waylon was playing Laughlin.NV at 112degrees i saw Waylon 4 days later.I saw Waylon a few times more.

Love his music n songs I remember having a coors light in his traveling trailer yes at window rock civic center on the navajo reservation, man Jessie was such an awesome woman very beautiful

I got to visit this man's grave, he is buried near me. Was a very special experience to meet some others that respect these old outlaws.

Good stuff. I've always known of Waylon Jennings. And I knew his "Good Ol' Boys" song because I used to watch The Dukes of Hazard when I was a teenager. But otherwise I really hadn't listened to a lot of his music until recently. I dunno why I searched for Waylon songs but I've really been enjoying his songs lately. Definitely a 70s/80s legend. Love it.

I drove tractor trailer for 20 years and only listened to country music I still drive but not long haul and I can't listen to new country at all the old guys keep me awake many times trying to push a couple extra hours out of a days run.

First time hearing his Country when I 17yrs old Music song Waylon Jennings sangs " Don't let babies become cowboys" and now I'm 68 yrs old and Waylon Jennings pass away in April 2002ad and still listening his Greatest hits Songs ever now and then also he awesome excellent guitar singer and he's cool guy to be with when singing " Rainy Day Woman " it really turns me on listening on my Cellphone device earphones sounds very good and God bless 🙏❤️ Waylon Jennings forever always a Eternity Lifestyle 🙏❤️ and had awesomely amazing great voice sounds clear music to my ears all-evening all-night until morning daybreak falling asleep take care in Heaven.

Yeah I'm 69 and retired but if that Willie Nelson can make 90 so can I I hope!

Speedin my young life away slow down it sure goes quick love and appreciate more especially true legends like waylon

It's sad we can't have real country music anymore I can't listen to that new shit. I used to drive truck for a living I still drive but not tractor trailer thank god for the old guys or all I would have to listen to is a diesel and they don't sound that good anymore.
