He did auto body/paint for like 20 years, he's only been away from it for a short while. For some people what they do at work is the last thing they want to do at home. I bet in a few years there will be a little nostalgia there and he'll want to do a really nice paint job on something. I could be totally wrong but I bet one day he'll want to do a killer paint job on one of the cars. It would be cool to see.

My little boys love Led Zeppelin. Their favourite track is Immigrant Song and will try sing along to it ❤. They're 5 and 4 BTW 😂

Seeing Ray reminded me of our tortoise many years ago. My dad was driving our 69 VW camper and the tortoise was allowed to freely walk around inside. Approaching a roundabout he came to change gear when slowing down and the clutch pedal would not depress. The tortoise was sat there under the pedal. We took the roundabout at speed and to this day amazed it never rolled.

I love all the things Wa has been getting for the Bug. I can’t wait to see that finished.

We all love you guys. Your kids won't have to pay for another part for the next 20 years on their cars. Don't worry, when Squeeze gets a car, it will be completely paid for. She has all her art stuff for now. Glad you have these gift shows. They will have everything provided for them for years. So many people love this fam. They will probably all have their own KZread channels in ten years. We will all support them in their endeavors. I know I will. Love you guys.

WaWa sure scored on Beetle parts! May need to make a series of beetle body work, and paint. That car is one of my favorites on your channel. Think the gremlin is my favorite, but the bug is definitely up there.

OK, I have watched your channel for a pretty go while now, I also watch a BUNCH of other channels, and it is a fact, at least out of the hundred or so channels I keep up with, Your channels is.......Fact 1. Probably one if not the most humble family in You Tube land. Along with your humbleness, also, from all the gifts you receive, you have to be the most appreciative family, well... ANYWHERE! It's no wonder that you have so many viewers. People love a good story, as well as a good video! Fact 2. Every gift given, from the largest, to the smallest, it doesn't matter.They always have the manners to appreciate the gift, and to always say thanks! I look forward to every video. One of the few channels I watch that I don't skip parts of them. Some are long, longer than I have to sit and watch in one sitting, but, that's OK, I like long! I just keep that window open and come back to it when I can. Fact 3, you never put something in the title that could mean one thing, and it actually is something different. I call some of the titles, "Bait titles" As a matter of fact, I have quit watching some channels for this reason, the other reasons I stop watching a channel, Negativity, stupid content, that is just drawn out for no reason other than just to make their video longer, or, they build something, and it's taken several videos and a lot of time, and time comes for a new video, and it's a time laps of what they have been doing in the last 10 videos on the build. When this happens, I feel cheated. Cussing, when people can't refrain from cussing to explain something, or what ever the case may be, it just tells me they do not have enough education to use appropriate words, so, they just cuss instead. a great lack of respect for their viewers. Now... Wah, it's kinda your fault that I don't always take the time to watch the long videos, Why you ask, Because me myself am restoring a VW, But, not one like yours, It is titled as a 72 Beetle, But, it's a vw dune buggy, rail buggy, or what ever you wanna call it. I'm old, slow, and disabled(So things take me longer) So I have been three weeks just stripping the paint! It would have been faster, but, Someone decided to put Epoxy primmer on it, before the next five layers of different paint! But, when I am done with it, Other than the tube work and the engine and transaxle, and the front beam, it will be all new. New Skins, paint, I will be building a new wiring harness (the old one was a clustered mess, and half of the stuff didn't work) Anyway, your bug, and you, were my inspiration to buy it, and rebuild it.... Thanks young lady! You all have a wonderful Summer, and keep doing what you do! I love it!

I miss my southern friends. Hearing you say “this is the wah pah” (wah pile for yall Yankees) cracks me up. Like every time you say oil. Ool. lol. I gotta get back down south again soon. I miss it!!

WaWa you should be able to pull the engine out of your beetle and rebuild it back to new condition plus you should be able to get another engine block and go through it and make it new and have it sitting in the shop for if something was ever to happen to the one in your car and then you would be able to pull your car into the shop and swap engines out really quickly and not be down with out a vehicle for a long time while waiting for machine work to get done!!! That is definitely super awesome to have all the extra parts on hand also!!!

Here is a Little Tip on Brake Lines: to temporarily or permanently block off a brake line just insert a thumb tack between the line and fitting. IE unscrew the line from the master cylinder and put a brass if you have that in the connection and screw the line back in. its removable and can save you in a pinch! Holy Wha Wha batman, thats an entire episode on Wha's Bug

Wa's bug will be completely rebuilt with all those parts...God bless y'all!

My first car was a 66 bug. The fuel pump on it was problematic (vapor locks), but nothin' a small hammer wouldn't fix. If someone had gifted me a new fuel pump, I probably would have held onto it a tad longer. lol

Every time Wawa opened another box I was hoping it was a set of 90.5 jugs and pistons. It would really be great if she could have an engine that keeps up with highway traffic when she starts driving her Supper B on a regular basis. PS maybe things have changed since the last time I tried to use one of those see-through distributor caps even though they're super cool I find that they generally don't hold up well due to the fact that they're made out of a different plastic than a regular bakelite distributor cap.

Highway speeds is governed by the transmission gearing. There are various transmission gearing options that meet those goals even on a 36hp engine. It's the continual excessive high rpms on the stock transmission creates too much heat that the air cooled engine can not dissipate fast/safe enough. Gearing is the key.

All she will have is a vw with a huge drinking problem and still cannot do hiway speed. It's not the engine it's the transmission. There's no gearing in them. A older porsche transmission was a common swap to do. They had better gear ratios. You can pit as big of engine as you want in it. Still be slow as ever cause there's no gears

If it were me, I'd do a simple stock refresh of seals, gaskets, push rods, push rod tubes, etc and focus on upgrading the transmission gearing to accommodate highway speeds easier.

There are a lot of folks out there who love this wonderful family. In Australia, they do some great racing with old cars from America. I am a really old hobby mechanic and air-cooled VW is one of my deals. I just completely rebuilt a dune buggy 100% -$20,000 in parts.

First off I love all your videos! Even with the absence of much Mopar content, I was super glad to hear Ralphie likes the 72-80 style Dodge trucks. They are my personal favorite as well.

It's stuff like this that makes you guys so lovable. You are humble and gracious, for a bunch of hicks. Lol love ya! (Remember, there are so many people who are lonely and have adopted you.)
