Watermark - Enya - Piano tutorial / cover

Музыка

For over three decades, I've been playing a beautiful piece of music called "Watermark," but I've never had the chance to record it - until now. In this video, I'm excited to share my rendition of "Watermark," performed on a Korg Kronos 2.
If you'd like to learn this piece for yourself, I've provided some helpful resources below.
You can access the sheet music here: flabis.com/en/piano/kits/wate...
and a MIDI file for Synthesia here: flabis.com/en/piano/kits/wate...
Additionally, I've created two tutorial videos to help you learn "Watermark" in whichever way works best for you. One video includes sheet music, while the other is in a Synthesia-style format.
🎼 Tutorial with scrolling sheet music : • Watermark - Enya: pian...
🎹 Synthesia style tutorial: • Watermark - ENYA - Pia...
I hope you enjoy my interpretation of "Watermark," and that these resources will help you learn to play this beautiful piece yourself.

Hello, I have a question. On the sheet music in measure 4 you play E´ C´A´ with your right hand and AEACAA with your left hand. but in the video you play AEACEC why is that so? Do your sheet music not match the video?

Lemmingmeister I play mainly by ear and by memory, but as this one was so close from the original sheet music, it was faster to post the original sheet music than edit my own arrangement. But as long as you play the same chord , you can play the notes (A C E) in any order . When I play I just remember the chord root and my hand play the chord naturally, I don’t have any idea of which notes I’m playing. Sorry.

Can you put the key notes on the lines? How in the heck am I supposed to follow what note you're playing?

This is a demo , if you want to learn this song with the falling notes, there is a link in the description to download the midi file. Import this file in Synthesia app( the link to this app is provided on the same page). In Synthesia you define if you want display the notes on the keyboard or on the falling notes or both. You can set the speed, display the score, learn hand by hand… In learning mode, the app is waiting that you have played the right notes before to continue the scrolling, and it tells you when and how much mistakes you make (if you have a digital piano connected to your tablet/computer) . Once you have memorised the notes, practice the tempo in the second mode. But with this method, you don’t need to know the note names, you see the keys to press.

Oh how so much easier it is if people learn to read music... it took me less that 4, 30min sessions to learn this (first draft)...it really is the best way...
