The left hand plays 6 8th notes for each chord and bar, so for me it's definitely 6/8. If it was written in 3/4, then it will feel like a waltz but this song is not a waltz at all, the groove is different between 3/4 and 6/8.
I think that a view with a rolling score and also falling notes could be quite useful.

I think the timing is sort of like 15/16 with the first durations on the left hand being 3/16, 1/8, 1/8, 1/8, 3/16, 3/16.

Well, it's just free/legato with some weird tempo flux. I'm trying to synthesize this piece and it isn't easy.

@@cubicinfinity2 I've also posted the Falling notes tutorial (Synthesia Style), the link is in the description. I can send you the midi file without rubato if you prefer, but it's not beautiful. But when I post this kind of midi file, people are complaining that it's without expression. This version is perfectly synchronised on the very first version of Enya.

This is confusing. The treble clef line has been written incorrectly for 6/8. It 'reads' as 3/4
