I honestly don't get Kim's problem. Chris is right, it's ridiculous to let kids with bad academic records think they can just walk into university. All the same, it would have made things easier if they'd just promoted other post-school options along with Oxbridge studies in the first place.

I remember being at school when this aired, it was a state-grammar that was very high achieving and, by comparison to low achieving academies in the area we received much less funding. It was always a little sore with me that we couldn't take advantage of resources that students at worse schools were given so much.

Simple solution: set minimum grade requirements for joining the university prep program. If you don't have the grades, you don't get in. If Michaela really wants to get into the program ( & I don't think she does), she can buckle down and work harder to bring her grades up & try again next term. And what fantasy world is Kim living in with that "grades aren't important" crap. Does she think mediocre grades will get you in to Oxford or Cambridge? Maybe if she tells them that Michaela would feel inferior if she wasn't admitted, they'd let her walk right in. Kim's a waste of space.

Millwall Joey. You cannot judge black people by Kim Campbell. That is not fair. When I have been out on my bike all the car drivers I have seen be rude to me are not black they are white. Whenever a car-driver has stopped to let me over one side of the road it was mainly a black man or woman and very rarely a white man. Kim is an exception I'll give you that. At the beginning of the episode Kim honked Aiden to get out of the way because he was not moving fast enough.

Michaela was a bit of a bully when she first came into it but you have to admire her for standing up for what she believes in, although I can see Chris's point too but he could have explained it better to her.

Yes it’s a way of saying the two as they are both the “best” my teachers are always talking about who’s going to go to oxbridge and I’m from Oxford. It’s a term used all over

At 33:31 Aiden's mother does have a point. Kim Campbell does seem to have it in for Aiden. It is not the first time Kim Campbell has had it in for a pupil. She had it in for Philip Ryan the first week back at Waterloo Road just because Philip said something she did not like. That idiot Rachel Mason looks at Kim through rose-tinted glasses. If she cant control her feelings like that Rachel should not be running a school. When Mrs. Bassinger was headmistress of Grange Hill she did not look at anybody through rose-tinted glasses, neither did Karen Fisher who succeeded Rachel Mason at Waterloo Road.

When Darcy Isa and Josh Brown were in Grange Hill it was not so much that Andrea and Alex had a feud, It is because Andrea O'Malley was hanging around with a wrong type in the shape of Chloe Moore who encouraged Andrea to be nasty to Alex Pickering. Chloe Moore was a born troublemaker. If Andrea's sister Dawn managed to persuade Andrea to stay away from Chloe Andrea would have become a nice person. Chloe Moore was a very bad influence on Andrea. To look at Chloe Moore she reminds me of that arch villian in the James Bond Film "Diamonds are Forever." The villian was called Blofeld.

Noah Muskett You are not alone. I don't blame you much Lozza. Kim is a stick in the mud. I worked with a woman like Kim at one time. Her nam was Helen. Helen L really used to annoy me because she very often used to run down young people. Nobody would have a go at her. Also Helen used to knock people who keep fit by running. She once spun an absurd tale that more people die who go running than people who do not. "What a load of codswallop. Once I decided not to speak to Helen Langley and when I made that decision she had a go at me and assasinated my character in front of everybody in the office. Helen did that because she knew Dorothy Page would be silly enought to stick up for her.

I am Amazed that Amy Porter did not say a word about Aiden being fat. That just shows you that Amy Porter is not all bad and that there is good in everybody. What more this episode of Waterloo Road is evidence that proves me right about Amy Porter being a saint compared with Chloe Moore in Grange Hill. For a start if Chloe had been present she would have said to Lauren "Beat that fat idiot up. Chloe was spiteful like that. What is more had Chloe been in Aiden's class she would have laughed and sniggered at Aiden being told off by Kim Campbell.

At 32.32 Rachel Mason said to Alex Pickerings mother "I am sorry I cannot allow to talk to my staff like that. Does that silly bitch think Kim Campbell is royalty or something. As Alex's mother said Rachel allowed Kim to bad-mouth Aiden by assassinating his character. That is not at all fair. For all Rachel knows Kim could be bullying Aiden. Rachel never had any children so that silly cow has no idea what it is like being a mother. Rachel should see things from Alex's mother's point of view before she goes snootily barging in defending Kim. It makes me sick seeing people hero-worship Rachel Mason by saying she was the best head of shool. She is a useless head of school.
