Thanks Lindsay. Woohoo! Skill builders, YES. I'm in between surges of chaos at the moment but have a lot of nerve pain down my leg from busy first half of the day. Taking an hour watching this and applying moist heat. Looking forward to doing this after homework, dinner and send the troops to youth groups. I'll have a whole hour to myself . Can't wait to try the sennelier on this lemon. Love sennelier lemon yellow. Perfect length study for a busy day. 🥰👍👍💜

Lemons are great to draw. Such a happy colour, but also they can come in really funky shapes so it's hard to get them wrong (my particular reason for liking them! 🤣). I'm very sensitive to sound, but I have a pair of lovely noise-cancelling headphones so I set up and appropriate playlist and get 'in the zone'. I can highly recommend it. 😊 With regard to your puppy, there's trainer on KZread called Zak George who's doing a great series of short videos on puppy training with his own puppy, including getting then used to new places and sounds. I don't have any fur friends at the minute so I'm living vicariously through the Doggo's and cats on KZread. 🤣

I’m LMBO watching this....my work area is now set up in the basement...with the oil furnace, water heater and well pump all within 5-15 ft of me. I was thinking last night when the well pump went off...sheesh that’s loud! So this hit home and is super relatable. Thanks for all you do and sharing your talents!

lemon yellow is a great colour but its one that you can quickly loose control of with it being such a strong colour and in most cases very opaque, so you did great with that painting to keep it under control. thanks for sharing.

Love the simple tutorial. I'm often overwhelmed by endless daily chores and give up painting at the end of the day. You are definitely my inspiration to do more art work whenever there is time. I finished the lemon painting this morning after watching the video last night and had lot of fun with it. Water drops on the lemon is absolutely charming. I modified the shadow color with Cobalt Teal and Magenta (instead of purple). The variation of the mix really give it a beautiful and balanced shade.

I guess the trick is to just relax and go with the flow, and think that when the construction is over, you will enjoy the benefits. Let is know what y'all are doing. Adding on a new studio, perhaps!! Or would that be wishful thinking?? LOL! Have a great day!

We tore down the attached garage where the office was and are putting a larger 2 car garage with a 2nd story which will be a master suite (them by studio once kids move out as it will have ample space for teaching and an private entry. I will take my son's heated bedroom in the basement for warm filming and likely leave my supplies where they are as it is so efficient to store them this way. This will get my son out of the basement as he will have our old bedroom. Our home is only about 1000 square feet and we have done ad-hoc projects for a bit more room but it's time to get just what we want. It's a bit scary tho lol!

@@lizziedae91 It actually wasn't bad because we have a full basement (1000 sq feet below ground and a garage which we built an office in once the twins came along) so we had that space for my art business and storage. I was always so surprised when we would look at 2 story houses with 2k square feet and they didn't feel twice as big because the basements were small and the bedrooms were small and the stairways took up space. A ranch home is very practical in layout. Any house that is full of love is never too small:) I feel very fortunate to be able to expand though:)
