Water Transparency and Animation Demo in Java 2D
A bit of a rush job but it looks ok. It should look better with better pixel art and coloring though!

I have an interesting fact for you, in my university we have a Java-programming class and there is a semestral work with the objective to make a 2D-RPG. And you may not know it, but with your cycle you've helped, maybe even saved, many freshmen students, including me. I want to thank you on everyone behalf.
He’s my hero!! I wish he creates something like Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest RPG tutorial videos for Java!!
You keep coming back, man youre truly amazing
Another fantastic video with a super useful edition, I love it! Thanks a lot that help so much
Wow. This looks really nice! Love the content!
Love your videos! you're an inspiration :)
Hey RyiSnow! I know it's been a while, but did you ever consider to implement placeable interactive items? like for example a campfire to skip the night (maybe the tent could heal, while campfire doesn't), or a simple workbench to use materials from monster to craft weapons instead of buying the complete weapons (the crafting menu would work similar to the tradings, just with a placeable item), or even bombs to blow up path-blocking rocks I saw you already tested placeable items with torches but didn't do a detailed tutorial about it, would love if you do
I see you love your creation and you give it a lot of work after finish ❤
we love your videos rye, thanks alot, for everything!
Thanks! I am glad you're still trying to make content even when you're busy.
THANKYOU Ryi, these tutorials are so useful , these will definitely helpp me in my CS degree and make me the coolest kid in the
I found ur channel and ur content is awesome
incredible work and dedication
the legend is back!!!!
You're very good! The result of your project is truly amazing! I would be very happy if an online mode were added to this game. I know it's not the project's objective, but I think it would be incredible.
Thanks so much for this tutorial! Learned so much from it. Had one implementation I've been trying to work on after completing it. Which is map layering. For instance if NPC_Merchant has half body visibility. Using a depth system.
hey can you please tell me what design template you use during the game i very need that thank you for create such a good game instruction
Thank you
Cool design
Excelent Ryi!!! i like a new large video with all this upgrades ;)
wonderful!
Hey man, good to know that your video which is very special for beginer like me. But I have a question that "Do you know what design pattern you using for this 2D game?". Thanks!!
You could also draw the eclipse shaped shadows with an adjusted transparency level (based on day/night cycle) for characters dynamically. It takes like minutes to implement and adds a little detail to the game. Though, (in terms of graphics and perfomance) swing is not the way to go if you want to make games with java.
Hey RyiSnow i"ve been following your java 2d videos for a while now and i've recently been wondering if there is any point in coding using java? Is it just to build problem solving skills? Thank you for the tutorials, they are great!
Great! It would be also interesting to animate trees or grass, like wind blowing, and I've created a roof's in my game which dissapears wnen you enter the building and I am using two map files.

interesting
Since you've made the transparent water, you can add an NPC fish at the bottom of the pond and possibly allow for interactions with it, as you can also animate it to move back and forward. Just some creative suggestions! ^_^

Neat idea and that's easy to implement. I might try it. Thank you for the suggestion.

@@RyiSnow No problem, your coding is very easy to follow and understand due to its simplicity! ^_^
Hey, I’ve been following your tutorials for a while now and I’m wanting to flesh out a game similar to Zelda: A Link to the Past using my own sprites and OST. I was wondering if you would be okay with me uploading this content to Steam in the future since I’m using a lot of your code as source material?

That's totally fine! Good luck with your development :)
Can anyone tell what editor is he using?
wow!
teach us how to add Lan multi-player on this game if possible
Bro can you make a tutorial on how to implement a daltonism-friendly mode?
🥰🥰🥰
