Im amazed at the water pressure you got without a electric pump. I've been doing WFP for over 20 years. Usually around 4 and 5 story buildings. Started with the old school metal Tucker Pole. These new poles are absolutely beautiful, and much lighter. Nice vid and love your attention to details.

Been cleaning windows for 28 years. Great video for technique. I found that WTP systems are great for solar panel cleaning on roof tops. the angle, and height in which panels are placed makes WTP systems ideal. I have signed up 4 commercial accounts and 5 residential accounts. I live in Ohio. I have signed them up for 3 times a year. the most important time to clean solar panels seems to be late May when most of the spring pollen has fallen. Theonly problem is all our accounts need cleaned ariund this time. No sleep from mid May thru June.

Austin - I have a question for you that somehow is not often addressed in all the various videos I’ve seen uploaded by the gamut of window cleaning YT accounts! MANY well-established industry professionals are ALL insisting that a (1) hand wash/squeegee window wash does not require special water and that tap water is fine, because the squeegee removes it all. I see that you specifically mention special water for water fed pole washes, but omit a squeegee hand wash from that same conversation, which is not a critique, it’s just to let you know I’m closely paying attention and I don’t believe I overlooked any information with respect to that. And another guy said (2) that purified, distilled, or DI water becomes unpurified once detergents are added to it and for that reason, hard tap water may be used just as well as anything else. I’m new to this, so it would take some experience for me to test and experiment with these claims and other than doing so on my own windows, I don’t want to learn the “hard [water] way,” with a customer who holds the power in their hands to rate my business after the fact. I find these claims difficult to believe, but hey, what the hell do I know. I’m not some genius bio-chemist like these veteran window washers! Thank you for reading into this point and for all the helpful, free content and advice!

I really need to get a Xero Waterford pole. I have an Unger nLite pole and it’s pretty heavy. My arms would have fallen off doing that much pole work. In my opinion, WFP work does clean them frames much better and more efficiently. Thanks for the great work Steve.

The destroyer is definitely my favorite of all time so far. Very rigid which helps so much in controlling the pole

Great video. Most frames that I see have such oxidation white Milky water has to come off 1st so I find myself scrubbing the frames as long as I scrubbed the glass which is not fun lol.

I run 200’ of water fed pole hose and still get good pressure. It’s easier than carrying around the heavier garden hose.

Yea I just prefer the larger inner diameter hose, Ive done tests with different size hosing and I get a lot more water through the brush with the larger inner diameter then the smaller inner diameter. This is what I prefer with RODI systems, but for DI only you could definitely run 200' of the smaller hose and get great pressure.

Hey Steve, great video I'm getting started in this and have been watching a ton of your videos. Why do you hit the frames then come back and get the windows? is it so the frames can drip on the windows and then you clean that window of that dripped debris?

  • @SteveOthewindowcleaner

Its to get the the dirt off the frames first so when i do the final rinse there is not dirt on the frames that gets back on the window

Hello Steve, What if the windows are extremely dirty ? Or have hard water stains? As well I know this video is 2 year old, is there anything you would suggest for me to buy, which may be better with WFP system and the pole itself. Looking to purchase through your link. Let me know thanks. As well great video . Learning lots from you.

I use wfp on everything except construction cleans, but it will not remove hard water stains either. For that a hard water cream is best, there has been some improvements as far as the systems and some accessories, but overall this is what I still use

So you don’t need to squeegee the windows if you’re using a water feed pole? Also I live in the desert where it gets really hot 110 to 120 degrees some days. Is it convenient for me to use a water feed pole? I don’t know if the water will dry too fast and leave water spots. I just started my window cleaning business and your Chanel is full of knowledge man thx.

Exactly, no need to squeegee after, even if it dries quick on hot days, thats the best situation actually
