    Thanks Dave, I've been using WFP system for about 11 years and recently changed my van and put in my old system, with a few new modifications but I started having trouble with airlocks in the pumps. Thanks to your video, I now think this problem, which has been perplexing me for ages is down to having my pumps too high. I thought I would raise them to prevent damage from the reels, not understanding why they would be so low in the first place. I'm going to give lowering them a try. Thanks for your honest and helpful videos.

    Most of this equipment lasts once you have it as long as you look after it. A ball park figure on the price would depend on what tank, hose reel pump and controller battery you have but you are probably looking at around £600. That doesn’t include pole, brush or filtration though

    I've watched all of your basic setup vids to create zero TDS water and I feel pretty confident about that. My question for your would be if I am going to store water in a reservoir (because I can't make 0 TDS water fast enough with the RO/DI setup) and I going to feed a Pressure washer for washing cars, will I need a second pump to feed 2 GPM to the pressure washer, or should gravity be enough to feed the pressure washer? If I need a pump, I would assume I should also include a controller with a dead end to shut that pump down when I don't have the trigger pushed on the pressure washer? Can you confirm for me?

  • @squeakycleandave1

    @squeakycleandave1

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Jeff Thats a great question and to be honest im not really sure. My pressure washer will draw its own water from a container but I know not all will. the pumps we use for window cleaning run at 1 GPM so they wouldn't be enough for your pressure washer. I know you can get higher GPM pumps but im not sure if the controllers would match them or if you would need a controller with a higher output. Hope you find your answer.

    @@martinseal1733 cheapest way of doing it is to by a backpack from Gardiner pole supplies which which are about £100. These contain pump, controller and hose but I’m not sure if that would be a high enough flow. If you were going for a full set up you can get pumps with higher flow rates. For a high flow pump and controller it’s about £250 you then need a tank and battery + hose fittings so you are probably looking at around £500 minimum depending on flow, size of the tank you need etc

    @@markgooding8131 I know it depends on what type of van you have but you normally would have a split charger or a battery to battery charger. You can have a wire directly but I wouldn’t. With the split charger or battery to battery charger it stop you from drawing power back from your main battery so if you are on a big job it’s never going to drain your main battery. It also makes sure your van battery is charged before it switches over to charge your leisure battery You will need to find out what kind of charger your van needs. Dave, when you connected the red to brown wire which one of the red wires from the pump did you use, the one nearest the camera or tip of pump clip in or the back one closest to the inline water feed clip in?? If it's the front one then I have it connected to a plug in alongside the black wire then would need to splice it. If it's the other that one is connected from the back side of the pump I'd have to splice and join it three ways.

    The red and black wire both come out of the metal and pf the pump furthest from the camera. The red then comes down to a contact which is nearest to the camera in the plastic part. Another red then comes out of the plastic part just slightly higher up then where it goes in. This is where you connect the controller. The plastic part at the end of the pump is the pressure switch. hope this makes sense. if not feel free to give me a call

    Can't help but wonder how the controller controls the amount of litres per minute? - the pump doesn't have any feedback signal wire, it just seems to be a analogue voltage output (or pulsed maybe) but designed to carry high currents that would fry a transistor. From what i can work out, it's not litres per minute but a voltage controller showing a percentage up to the maximum?
