I have soon so many cars with faded paint and sold without mentioning that it had burned clear coat or damaged paint
Watch what scammers do to make Bad paint look Good by spraying wd40 on the faded paint and make it look shiny temporary
that's why some people always ask, why after i bought the car, paint faded? did i wash it wrong way?
when something like this happens, it means the paint already were in a bad condition and they temporary wax it or spray wd40 on it to cover the faded paint with a layer of oil and make it look shiny

Yes I agree. First car wash and oil the shine is gone. I had this experience in the past

They did a lot for selling faided paint cars
I have older motorcycles .I use petroleum jelly on weathered plastic painted and rubber parts. It temporarily brings sharpness and luster! It's a dust magnet!

No problem
You can also use wd40 and a magic eraser to get rid of paint transfer. Something in it softens the paint so you can just wipe off the scratched-on paint transfer
