Jack is so cute. Great sense of humor.😊 good sport too.
Love that Mike is being a Beauty Queen for this video.
OH my.. such a TOUGH job taste testing all those brownies! LOL Oh my how adorable Jack is....
I can't get over how taller Jack is now. Have not seen him for a while. Handsome young man indeed. The brownie testing is very good show...Thank you for all you guys do.

Are you sure that Jack isn’t my son? Why? Because I could easily survive on pb & j sandwiches…24/7…and love every minute! ❤😊
Put the brownies in the freezer overnight and eat them when you take them out. It's amazingly good.
This was great...looking forward to the cocoa test. I usually throw in some choc chips to brownie.
It’s so cute, they were back peddling to justify giving your brownies such a low score. I’m sure your brownies are delicious 😋
Have made brownies from Scratch til a few yrs ago when I got boxes for about $0.75. Still prefer homemade. Eager for cocoa test; used store brands & then during lockdown, Hershey’s was all I could find. I think it is tastier. Also think cane sugar tastes better than cheaper beet sugar.
Well I LOVE your brownies! I make them all the time because I always have everything I need to make them. That's what I like best about your cookbook, the fact that I almost always have all the ingredients on hand.
LOVE this! Tawra your expressions made it!
Oh the sacrifices your men are willing to make for you. They're so brave, 😉
Always been a fan of Pillsbury mixes, but will give Walmart brand a try. The trick is waiting a day! Getting serious brownie cravings now😂
My family loves Duncan Hines. It’s our favorite. It’s just our opinion. My Dad always said, “That’s why they make vanilla AND chocolate.”
A dash of water in your butter keeps it from splattering your microwave too!

Thanks
It’s nice you didn’t try and conceal the results since Dining didn’t win. I wonder how many would have? I was thinking during it that cocoa powder could be the difference so I can’t wait for those results.
Homemade is ALWAYS the way to go!!! Please please please read the ingredients on the brownie mix. The majority of them have bio engineered ingredient. It’s usually at the end of the ingredient list or slightly lower in smaller letters. God bless you guys. Thanks for all you do.🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

Yay!! Keep testing products! Yes, test the cocoa's!!
Insulin for the guys😂 they may go into sugar shock! I love Aldi's boxed brownies next to your recipe.
I’m loving these comparison videos! Thank you!
Loved this! I especially liked your overview ingredient comparisons at the end. 😊
Some packaged things ask for.other ingredients, was that included in final.cost, I wasn't sure Tawra. This was so fun to watch ❤
Hi! Love your channel! This is off topic but want to thank you so much for your gluten free bread machine recipe. It is THE BEST! I think I read your made it like 30 times to get the perfect recipe. I am grateful and it is so good. Thank you for your time and expense to give us the best recipe ❤

Love your hair up!
The sleep masks are perfect 👌🏻😂
We really like the Pillsbury Chocolate Fudge. I cook 1/2 box a little slower in the toaster oven and my grandkids love them.
I agree I always use Duncan Hines but I substitute the water with cold coffee and a teaspoon of vanilla. The coffee makes the chocolate pop.
Loved this! ❤
Love your channel!!
Omg I love these videos!!!!!!
ABSOLUTELY LOVED YOUR REACTIONS,TAWRA!!!..I am looking forward to the cocoa test, exactly what I was thinking!!!.Many years ago I found a recipe that when making your brownies whether from scratch or boxed, add 1 cup each of raisins, choco chips, and coconut. A few years ago I bought several bars of Bakers unsweetened chocolate bars for 10 cents each!!! I made from scratch brownies ..they were awesome!!!..I believe that was all I made with those bars.
So Fun ❤ Loved It
Thanks for sharing this video.❤
Love these taste test videos
That was crazy I would have never guessed that. Great to know.
Love this comparison
I like your show keep up the good work ❤😊🎉
I love the brownies from your cookbook!
I love your brownie recipe!
We make your recipe for brownies all the time and love them 😂 . I love these kind of videos!
Great video.
Tawra, I had to stop the video early on to tell you, I LOVE YOUR HAIR! It's such a flattering style on you. You're so "fancy". Super pretty. Now I'll start the video again and watch the taste test. Hehehe.

Well, I do use Hersey cocoa and I, along with my hub and grown son, love the Dining on a Dime brownies. 👍 I like that I always have the ingredients on hand even though they are more costly to make.
Great review 😂❤
Keep testing products. I love it, it’s really helpful. Thank you for all of the great content you guys put out. I love watching your videos
❤ love it! God bless you all.
This was a great 👍 video. Thanks for sharing. Love 💕 and Hugs. 💙💙💙
My mom has that same mixing bowl you mixed your stuff in. I love it. 😅
That makes sense. More liquid and moist.

We sometimes add a tablespoon of strong-brewed coffee.
Mike’s beauty queen mask made me laugh lol. I watch some old live shows when I want something to listen to and I notice Jack is so grown up now!!
This was great! So funny! I really like the comparison to homemade products to see if it’s worth the time and effort too.
Fun video ❤
I make your recipe all the time and we love it! It’s nice to know the Walmart brownies are good in case I need a mix.
This was so enjoyable and honest. Thanks for making me not feel guilty about box mix brownies by pointing out the relative value. Love your cookbooks!
Awesome video! I can't wait for the sequel...lol
I can't believe how grown up Jack looks. Tawra your hair looks amazing!
Jack is funny!😅 Thank you for a great video and comparison! 😊
I love brownies! Poor guys had to be tasters! lol
Wow… that was a lot of work baking all those brownies! Very awesome taste tests and analysis 😉. Thanks for sharing .
Keep up the comparison videos!!
This is very good, but you should have more people testing the product. Maybe a few of Jacks friends , maybe Jill, or a neighbor. I did this type of testing at Frito-lay many years ago, and the samples to be tested were put in paper trays that had numbers on them. You could use paper plates. The taster can see and taste more than one piece. I believe they had 20 people taste test each sample. And I think your cookbook recipe would have done better.😊😊 again, great content, good video. 👍
This was a fun video to watch. Now, I need to buy a box of the Great Value brownies and have a taste test.
We love the brownies from your cookbook best! ❤ ( although now we may need to try the Walmart brand😊) This was another great video.
Mike risked couch sleeping by saying your brownies were better the next day!😂 Jack looks like Robin with that mask on! As in Batman!
can't wait for that cocoa follow up!
Our family really does enjoy your recipe. I like to use half hershey dark cocoa and half nestle cocoa and occasionally throw in chocolate chips. Great video!!
Using the same amount of applesauce instead of oil or butter is a more nutritious alternative.
Appreciate your honesty. It would be hard to have to say your DOD brownies didn't fare as well but you did it!
If anyone lives near an Aldi's their brownies are very good and cheap m. I always get compliments on my brownies and that's what I use.
Man this makes me hungry!
That's what I was going to say. My husband loves the brownies so I wonder if it was an ingredient in them. That was so funny when the guys looked at the camera then at each other in shock and awe. :) Do the cocoa taste test! Love these videos and seeing Jack. He's so tall!!
Great video 👍🏼we like Aldis brand .. is 1.14 for a box .. I agree it Taste better after a day or two 😊
I really enjoy the comparison videos . Your guys felt bad they didn’t choose the Dinning On A Dime recipe. You have such a nice family. You’re probably right about the Cocoa in your brownie mix especially if you’ve had it on the shelf for a while. Sometimes food stuffs can be safe to eat but lose flavor after a while . I’ve never had Great Value Brownies because I don’t grocery shop at Walmart. My Walmart has limited grocery foods . I should check and see if they have brownie mix because they do carry some grocery items. I usually buy what brownie mix is on sale and the 2 brands that come to mind that I’ve bought are Pillsbury and Ghirardelli . Pillsbury does carry a large size mix which is good . I have to mention I shopped at Aldi today and bought eggs and the price was $2.77 a dozen just last week at Aldi eggs were $1.86 per dozen. .91 cent increase in only a week! Is it the bird flu again 🤷♀️
Now I’m craving brownies! Great comparison Tawra. I didn’t realize Jack was taller than Mike.
I don't use box mixes anymore..here's a tip I'll pass on..dampened coffee filters are fantastic for microwave splatter reducers
Did you try the Aldi brand? They have a good walnut brownie one.

We don't have Aldi.
What a fun contest! Wish I could have participated! Thank you for doing all that work to find a winner, Tawra...and I'm sure you couldn't do a taste test because you're gluten free--torture! Same here [celiac]!
Tawra, you were such a good sport about this. You might also try sugar cane sugar, vs sugar that doesn't say sugar cane (beet root sugar) with your brownie test. I've heard the sugar cane sugar tastes better in baked goods. I'm wondering if that is true.
I don't often use mixes. When you get the mixes on clearance, though you can also doctor them up just a tad. It will keep the cost still low, but tastes better. I add half water/half coffee, add vanilla and use butter instead of oil. (This ends up being cheaper than homemade when you buy the mix on clearance, at least cheaper than my usual recipe)

That’s me too.
Great taste testing on a treat that most everyone loves. Thanks for sharing your expert pallets guys....you did great. I liked that you included the aftertaste. Tawra maybe you should cut back by a quarter on the sugar to see if they like that better. Jack said right up front , they were a lot sweeter. Love the comparison test shows. A lot of time we get stuck on a brand or recipe, not knowing others may have made a change. Have a Blessed day.
I made the Pillsbury brownies just this week and didn't like the oil taste. I thought they had to much oil, just my opinion. Thanks for testing them all.
I like Betty Crocker.
We prefer the winning brand in our house too! We love a good fudgy brownie.
LOl! maybe Walmart can sponsor more brownies!
My friend makes a black bean brown- which I don't care for so much. I buy box too. Some times why reinvent the wheel - as long as you like the ingredient. I take cake mixes and add oatmeal and other stuff for muffins. My Big Lots has good prices on mixes.
Brownies, to me, are always better the next day, for my recipe. 💕💗💕🙏🙏🙏
Jack is so darn cute🙂
I never buy brownies mix always make yours I already have everything in my cupboards
God I love that big Tupperware measure cup. Mine is just like your. I did find a newer model at the thrift store which was cool. Has the lid BUT there's a hole in the center for your hand mixer, or add ingredients.
I’ve found that cocoa tends to differ according to what it’s packaged in. Mom and I always used Hershey’s, but the taste changed a bit when the packaging did. 🤷♀️
I bet your house smelled amazing during this! 👃🏼 I always get the edges of the brownies to eat cuz I like the crunchy edges! (No soft-baked cookies for me!)

I’m LOL 😂 I love the Hershey’s Brownie mix from Sam’s Club. To me it has the best flavor.
I am curious to know why you say making homemade brownies is expensive. I use a 90 year old recipe from an old bakery. They are the best I've ever tried. 1/4 cup of cocoa, a couple eggs, oil, flour, sugar. The same as chocolate cake, which I always make from scratch too. Is it the eggs? We only make brownies once or twice a year, so a little extra is okay, but just curious your thoughts.

A lot of recipes call for melted bittersweet chocolate. Even the off brand is 2.50 now, I think. Also, most use butter. My recipe I prefer calls for 2 sticks of butter, 1 cup brown sugar, the chocolate bar, real vanilla and coffee instead of milk or water (also flour and eggs). So, my recipe is at least 6 bucks if not more depending on sale prices.

@@elijahkanengiser9176 Yes, but cocoa powder and oil is not that expensive, and that is what Tawra's recipe uses. It might be more expensive than the mix, but not expensive. I do bake with real butter and bittersweet chocolate too. I always bake from scratch and never use mixes. Your recipe sounds wonderful. Desserts are only an occasional treat, so worth the splurge to pay a little more!
I knew u didnt curl ur hair all day Tawra 😮 😅 ..... ha ha ha!! Luvit tfs! Soocute on u too!! Also tfs ur frenchbread 🍕 pizza too! Ihave to clamp down this mo!! ❤
Maybe milk or mayo will make it moist?
Oh my goodness Jack is in a growth spurt! He’s the cutest young man. The girls will come running. Momma get your gun! 😂 I love all your videos!
Brownies are always better the next day.
Some have peanut flour
THE OLDER THE BETTER--- I have been very actively upping my cookie game, mostly whoopie pies and across the board they say they are at at PEEK flavor at 2-3days old
