My sister has mom's old one that looks like yours, & it is around 70 plus years old, & still going strong. The older ones were made to last - not to be tossed after a few years. Keep your pan.
You can not swap dutched for regular cocoa powder! Owning a restaurant, I had a failure with a dessert recipe because I didn't have "Dutched" cocoa the recipe specified. When swapping regular cocoa for dutched, you must adjust the leavening, or the recpie will fail! I now keep a sheet in my recpies that tells me what I need to do when swapping. If you would like that info, I can email it to you!

Interesting
I think they are use to the lighter coca. The dark chocolate is more of an aquired taste.
I think Mike is learning how to get more brownies.😂😂😂
Worth it! Personally, I’d spend the $2 extra to have brownies that don’t fall apart AND taste great!!!

America's Test Kitchens might have answer to your coaco processing questions. I watch them from time to time & some of them really go into detail in their answers.
Love the dramatic music at the beginning 😂😂😂

I appreciate all your efforts! Everytime, I bake something, there is something, different, no matter how much I try to make them the same. Lol I related to your results so much! Lol
Stay tuned for Mike's diabetes test results... 😂 I loved the dramatic music. 😅
HAHAHA we love that movie. Well done Princess Bride!!!
Oh my goodness..... what a huuuuuuge challenge you set out before yourself, Tawra!! Awesome job testing all of those versions of brownies!! Of course, we all know that Mike & Jack had the toughest job testing them!!! Right guys!! 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
The regular Hershey's cocoa is what I have always used. I may have tried a cheaper cocoa one time, but didn't like it as well as the Hershey's cocoa. I have made your brownies and they are yummy! I also think that the prepackaged mix manufacturers of most products add flavor enhancers to their product so homemade doesn't taste as good.
Letting any baked good sit for 24 hours allows the flavor to blend more.
Loved the music 🎶🤩 Will see which powder is is better.
The best part of this particular video was Inigo Montoya. I lol'd at work at the nurse's station!
I don't buy boxes of brownies mixed anymore I make homemade brownies and I use Nestle Toll House Cocoa! I love what you did to your hair.... Thank you for the video.... You and your family have a beautiful blessed day.
your kitchen looks lovely! 💕
My husband loves your brownies last time I made a cream cheese topping
my sister swears by the Costco Rodelle cocoa. i have to say. her home made chocolate cake is THE best

Dutch Process has less heavy metal contamination .
I was at my mom's house for dinner yesterday. Her brownies tasted so good compared to batches we've made at my house recently with HER same recipe! I guess it's because I've been trying to save money on groceries and bought the cheap Walmart cocoa. 😂

What a SWEET treat for your taste testers. My husband would have LOVED to be the tester for this! Great show as always!
Love the background music in this video too 😂
Love the dramatic music!
I didn’t know there were so many different cocoa options.
I make your fudge brownie recipe with Fry's Premium Cocoa here in BC, Canada, and they are always delicious and moist. Enjoying the comparison videos.
I wouldn't feel too bad for Mike , it's a lot of pressure taste testing but very yummy work !

I find it funny in that I don't like chocolate cake, but I do like brownies.... My problem is some of the coaco powders have stuff I'm allergic to. Out of your choices the Hersheys Dark is the one I have a tin of in my kitchen.
The brownie mystery series, season one, lol. So good.
LOVE those stairs!
Brownies, my favorite! Your recipe is the best! 🍫💗

I LOVE your stockpile, your steps, and your kitchen! Gonna keep watching for the betterment of 'brownie' kind 😂 And your new content is so good!
Brownies for breakfast every day!
I always have used Hershey's for 50+ years. My Gram and Mama used Hershey's also. Thanks Tawra for all these recipe reviews.
Its a rough job you have there Mike. 😂
"Sought of like going to an eye Dr which ones better 1 or 2" hilarious 😂😂😅
I'm loving these comparing videos!
I've used Trader Joe's, and the cocoa that has the man with the baking hat on Saco, brand they also do the dry buttermilk , they are good😊.
I love that you are having fun with these videos!!!! 🎉 they make the videos so much more enjoyable to watch!
💕💗💕 agree with Mike and Jack , brownies are better the next day !!!
I appreciate this taste-testing content so much! Thank you!
Love these videos!!
What a sacrifice to test taste brownies...lol Enjoyed your video!

Lots of chocolate for National chocolate Month!
Such a lovely family ❤
Hi Tarwa, Stay with the Classic baking pan 😁
❤lots of Brownies. Lol. Thank you for doing this experiment ❤
Mike! LOL! "Hello. My name is..." Love that movie. Tarwa, I made the brownies with either Nestle or Hershey. I can get them on sale and they last a while in my home. Rod loves your brownie recipe.
That pan is great!
I buy winco bulk cocoa.
I remember watching Americas Test Kitchen a couple years ago that compared old cookie sheets with the brown grime on them to the new ones. The results were unanimous that the older pan's seasoning aided in more even cooking and a more consistent cookie. In other words, treasure that brownie pan for another couple of decades. Freeze those leftover brownies for dessert for the next few months.
this must be a followup to the previous brownie video!
My favorite is the Hershey’s regular. I do not like dark chocolate at all. Boxed brownie mix gives me heartburn but not your recipe. You hair looks beautiful Tawra. Enjoyed this video and seeing Jack. Such a handsome boy!
It must be a real trial for the guys to "take it on the chin" and be taste testers for the brownies. LOL I volunteer!!! You now have a brownie PhD!!! lol
You and Iñigo made me laugh out loud on this one. 😄😄😄
my mom had 3 of those pans and i think they are mirro brand i made lots of cakes and cobbler s and even apple piefrom those pans one pan had a gash in it and one was dented up one she got for a premium from the kma homemakers a few dollars in shenandoah iowa
I’ve always liked the Hershey’s best. Great 👍 video. Love 💕 and Hugs. 💙💙💙
Love your stairs
I like your show today 😊🎉❤❤
One of the best movies ever!
very cozy house
Dutch process is processed with an alkali . It was recommended not to use in recipes for ppl with a congestive heart .
You go Tawra! Brownies all day!
I just baked your brownies. Yum! I shopped at Aldi today so I picked up their brand of Cocoa Baker’s Corner . I would have bought Hershey because that company has been a staple for years in kitchens. But the Baker’s Corner worked great . Who is Mike mimicking with the Russian accent (?) ? Too funny 😄. Thanks for the test kitchen video. I appreciate it. Your recipe is very good!!
I use Kroger brand baking cocoa and it is good!
Y'all are cracking me up 😂😂😂😂
Yay Hershey! My fave! 🍫🍪🍫🍪🍫
😅 thoroughly enjoying the music!
@LivingOnADime It is all about chemistry. Dutch-processed cocoa will require a different leavening amount than regular cocoa. I did this this same test myself many years ago. My test results were identical to yours!! Dutch-processed cocoa will require more acidic ingredients than regular cocoa. The Dutching process removes some to the acid, and yields a milder flavor and darker color. Regular cocoa has lighter color and deeper richer chocolate flavor. In other words, when swapping out cocoas, the ingredients must also be adjusted. "Since Dutch-process cocoa is neutral, it does not react with baking soda and so it normally is found in recipes that call for baking powder instead, which will take care of the leavening on its own." **quote from cocoa 101article in ifIGourmet In other words, I will now only buy Hershey's regular cocoa, and use it for everything requiring cocoa. I want to complement you on your taste testing, and really enjoy these kind of videos. Special shout out to the taste testers. (hahaha culinary victims?)
What a fun video. I always use Hersheys cocoa when l bake. But lm going to try the Walmart brand. I know the Walmart Mac and Cheese is better than Kraft, more creamy.
Yay! Hersheys chocolate! But Nestles Chocolate Chips!

I totally agree with you !!!
Interesting! Could it be Barometric pressure? Can't remember where I heard (some you tube source) but they said any Brownie Recipe or mix could be improved by adding 1/4 cup Dr Pepper!
Dark chocolate is always a lot more bitter.
You guys crack me up. Especially since I watch it at 1.75. lol😂😂
Even the box mixes are better overnight.
I Love that Movie.
I'm enjoying the comparison videos, but can you just do a tour of your pantry/storage area?

@@LivingOnADime Thank you! I can't believe I missed this.
Oh my goodness! I use the Great Value cocoa and still think they're great! I'm beginning to wonder about my choices. You could make a brownie Trifle with all the left over brownies.
I thought about your channel yesterday when making brownies for potluck. I finished off a can of Hershey’s and opened a can of Kroger to finish. The Kroger looked ‘bleached’ in color compared to the Hershey’s.
I love brownies but don't make them often. I also have used Hersheys. Thanks for the taste test.😊
So I'm thinking Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines mix when they're on BOGO. LOL!😂😂🤣🤣Seriously I do like your new video series-very helpful. The grocery store videos were great but long and after a time repetitive. Still something to consider doing occasionally in the future. Thanks for all your hard work.
🎉🎉 living on a Dime🎉🎉🎉
ROTFL, nice try. I'd probably give them all a 9 or 10, I love brownies. LOL.
Did you let the brownies cool enough before cutting (thinking if not that may have made them fall apart). Love this video--very entertaining and different from the same old videos from everybody doing organization, cleaning , etc., etc. not that I hate those, but this is so informative and interesting!!! Thanks
Next do a chocolate chip cookie cook off testing 😁❤
