Same here in England now 90% of farms do it the same way now. although as a kid i had to ride the Woodend sled behind the old style bailers and stack 8 high then trip the sled leaver to push the stack off an start all over again. you just had to pray the tractor driver was in a good mood and went normal speed or if he went fast it was crazy job stacking an tripping the sled before the next bale was coming out again lol Good luck in all you do in life. best wish to you both.

Your right about the pickup roller if you know anything about it you know thats got to be done on purpose .I've seen some bad welds but nothing that bad for any kind or repair hahaha. & that is a good tip on the painting unless your wanting to replace the inside wall soon 😉

James I used to do hard surfacing welding on forrestry equipment. The two types were stick welding electrodes with tungston carbide alloy and the more durable way was metal tubes filled with little balls of pure tungston carbide that you melt on with an acetylene torch. Rather than straight line beads I wrote the date on the part with hardfacing, the plant name , my initials, our shop phone number, and work order number if I had it. Years later I would find equipment with my hardfaced labeled parts on equipment in a different state with dates 10 to 15 years old still readable in the hardfacing. By the way, hardsurfacing welds with high tungston carbide have transverse cracking across the beads as they cool which looks terrible on hammer mill hammers which are completely covered with hardsurfacing. george and aurora

From northern mn, instead of paint, just get a gallon can of wd40 and soak a rag with it and wipe down the shiny surfaces. 4 henerstins of doing it that way with similar protectant.

I have used a next size bigger... The one near puts the net wrap on... And then you put the plastic wrap on... So the Hay can pickle.. Which takes about 40 days.. If I remember correctly

I know I'm behind, but it's been crazy here. (Looks like 2 more weeks we'll have our grandson.) Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but the last 4 or 5 of your vlogs I've tried to like and it says its added to my liked videos, but the count doesn't increase. Take care.

since you are a cheap farmer what do you use to hold things together with since you use twin instead of bailing wire ?, also here is tip for the fire extinguishers, take them and turn upside down and tap them few times with a mallet to stir contents up, when the sit upright like that for long time contents gets packed in the bottom and wont work when you need them, I do this once a month with mine that I have in 5th wheel.

That is a excellent tip on those. I will do that tomorrow! Thank you . I keep a couple of rolls of stainless steel wire handy. Don't rust out like baling wire! Pretty strong too. Wire is a farmers best friend!
