Don’t try to run your baler with the convenience plug in the tractor. Get the NH adaptor and run the baler directly off the tractor battery. The convenience plug wiring is too light to properly support the draw of the net actuator, and all sorts of aggravating things happen when the baler system voltage drops too low.

Before you bale hook up the pto and run the baler at least 20 minutes. Then go around every single roller bearing and check with a temp gun. I learned this the hard way...

@@justinlepp967 Sure, for those that you can touch. But there are bearings 10 feet off the ground and belt bearings that you can see but not touch. If you run a baler and don't have a temp gun, get one. Its useful for a lot more than a baler.

Next time add a little bit of grease to the wheel bearing caps and they should slide in easier, and those electrical plugs have one ground and 2 hots one constant hot, one key switch hot which will only send power when the key is turned on. But only one hot and one ground will be used. And for safety sake never stick you’re head, arm or anything else under anything hydraulic lifted. If one hose blows at the wrong time it won’t be good.

Hello looks like nice baler. The cap will go in place if your gentle with it and put it on straight taping all around it putting a cut in it not necessary. Missing parts was that originally there? When I buy something from a dealer I go through it with a fine tooth comb make sure all is what they say. Enjoyed your video as long as there not click bate. Have a great day.

Not scammed. You're expecting a perfect used piece of equipment and that they take care of it like you would.

Struggled with a hub cap at work, I took it to the hose machine and crimped it smaller by half a millimeter and it worked great.

Not scammed just situation normal. Cheap usually means things will not work right. Especially all bearings. In fact I would be shocked if everything worked right. Be ready to run it when by the shop because everything not working will need fixed first. That is the nature of cheap.

  • @PaulHigginbothamSr

Probably nothing will work right until in use, except the guage, which will never work right because it will never be seen until replaced. Once in the field with a new machine, probably everything you think is not working will need worked on. So take all your tools. Nothing at all will work correctly with the convenience plug unless you know exactly which tractor was used with this baler. If you use an International to bail with and the previous owner had an International it may work right but no promises.

The actuator that works the twine tie is the same as the one that works the net system from memory. Also, the hydraulic density system may need recharging. There should be a hydraulic connection there somewhere to plug in a line direct to the tractors hydraulics. Your manual should have info on how to recharge it.

What your doing you have to do. Bought a HD 459 that was an abused child. Kept having error messages intermittently. Finally found crushed wires in the wiring harness. Solder spliced now works like a charm.

We had a br7060 where the actuators weren’t working ring right. We switched the twine actuator with the net actuator and it worked, so we left it. Traded the baler and the actuator is still sitting in a box in our office. We just forgot to send it along idk.

You got the wrong green paint. JD hay gear is pretty ordinary kit. Like all JD gear, the green blooded JD owners don’t know what they are missing, because JD won’t give it to you. McHale green has been the benchmark in balers but I’m keen to see how the Fendt round balers perform. CNH hay gear ain’t what it used to be to be honest!

nothing really wrong with the baler, it's not a baler for beginners, it can get very frustrating at times, but I will say this, if u can get it working right, there's no other baler that you can't fix, I'm talking from experience, I've had mine for years, but if your one of those guys that wants everything perfect but has no patience, get rid of it.

New Holland built a lot of hay equipment. Just none of it good. I have owned a lot of new Holland equipment and there's a better choice for every application. I wouldn't piss on a New Holland baler if it was on fire.
