Derek Jenkins, Lucid's chief designer, came from Mazda, where he designed the current generation of MX5 Miata. Rawlinson was VP of vehicle engineering at Tesla, of course, but before that he was chief engineer at Jaguar and Lotus. Before that he designed and built small open top sportscars for racing. It's only a matter of time until we have a small light 2-door roadster out of them.

Check out the VW ID4 or the new Polestar. Polestar is Volvo's performance team that are going to be separated from Volvo. If you have more cash look at the Cadillac Lyriq. Really good cars that are great value for money. I also would love the new Genesis GC60 - but not sure if that one is going to get delivered to the US. Anyway, don't order a Lucid, the delivered vehicles have two fleet wide recalls. They are junk - expensive junk.

@@IADHDD You are right Walid. In that Lucid clearly has the longest range. But it is just that they have more small battery cells in every car. This is very easy to copy - so any competitor can and will beat them. Also Tesla, Toyota, GM, VW, Benz, etc already have lighter, more powerful and cheaper battery tech in the pipeline. So by the time Lucid starts to produce more cars - the competition will have new generation battery cells (and also self-driving tech). Also Lucid will run out of cash in 2023 - unless more money is invested. I am not sure that the Saudi's will keep putting money into a company that in Q1-2022 lost $2+ million per sold car.
