Opening statements began in the trial of the so-called doomsday mom, Lori Vallow, who stands accused of the homicide of two of her children in 2019 because she allegedly believed they were possessed and became zombies. Vallow Daybell is accused of ending the life of her two youngest children, Tylee Ryan and Joshua Jaxon "JJ" Vallow. Tylee was nearly 17 when she and JJ, 7, were last seen alive in September 2019. The children's bodies were found in June 2020, buried on property in Rexburg, Idaho, owned by Chad Daybell. She is also charged with the homicide of her husband in a separate case.

What's truly haunting about this event and her testimony here: she sent Tylee, her daughter, the child she claims she was trying to protect from seeing anything, back into the apartment after Charles was shot. She sent Tylee in to grab her purse or wallet. Tylee talks about it in her interview. Lori, I believe, is a psychopath.

I disagree. Every big case people always say police dropped the ball. When you watch a show on KZread and get all the facts, it might seem obvious. But when these things are happening in real time, and they are happening in different jurisdictions, and at different time frames, you can’t blame the police for that they’re not psychic.

Exactly, as Mark stated, when she explains what went on she is non-reactive, and gravity is “getting the best of her”. In the movie Rocky, Adrian goes directly up to the passion plane when Rocky knocks Apollo Creed out and both boxers land on the floor. It’s one of the best reaction scenes in my opinion, and I think it explains the passion plane really well, as most people have seen that scene in a movie. Lori did none of this. Her hands should have went up towards her neck or face and they just hung there.

My initial reaction was to run to him and touch him, even though he was very visibly and graphically dead. I than ran out of the room in fear and proceeded to fall to the ground because I literally lost control of my body, all the while screaming in agony. I've been following this case a long time. Lori Cox (nee Cox) had bizarre parents and an older brother Alex, and two sisters. One died of diabetes, and Lori was like a mother figure for her niece, Melanie Boudreaux (now Pawlowski). This explains Melanie's slavish ties to Lori. Lori married her high school BF and this lasted one year. They split. No kids. Lori married #2 William Lagioia, and had one boy, Colby. They split. Lori married #3 Joe Ryan, and had one daughter, Tylee Ryan. Joe adopted Colby who became Colby Ryan. Lori got into a bitter custody dispute with Joe (ex Navy serviceman) over Tylee, and Joe loved his little girl and was a wonderful father. There was one attempt on his life by brother Alex but he survived. A few years later, Joe mysteriously dies of a heart attack at home and under very suspicious circumstances. Lori finds him (!!). Lori collects on his life insurance. Lori married #4 Charles Vallow, a businessman, in AZ, who was a wonderful father. Charles adopts his nephew, JJ Vallow. Charles' sister, Kay Woodcock had a son who fathered JJ but was unable to care for him so he was left with Kay. Charles took over and gave JJ a stable home life. JJ was autistic. Kay's second husband is Larry Woodcock. Lori starts a divorce and bitter custody dispute. Alex comes over and sho*ots Charles de*ad. She tries to collect on his life insurance and finds out that he left everything to Kay and his older kids. Kay was instructed to take care ofJJ and had money set aside for him. Lori is furious!!! Meanwhile, Melanie Boudreaux under the influence of this cult and Lori, sends danger signals to her husband, Brandon, about their kids turning dark, etc. Brandon lost no time in cutting ties with Melanie, keeping his 3 kids safe and away from her. Melanie was arrested for trespassing as Alex took her to his house and he had a restraining order against her. Brandon narrowly missed being shot dead by Alex in home. He reported seeing a car like Alex's speeding away. Lori, Alex take Tylee and JJ to Yellowstone as their last outing. The next day, Tylee is shot dead by Alex or Chad at his property. They cut her up, burn her, and bury the remains. Blood was found on a pickaxe and shovel in Chad's shed, matching Tylees. That day, Chad calls Tammy and says he shot a raccoon and buried it in the pet cemetery in his backyard. Earlier, he had searched for wind direction so that the smoke from burning would not carry over to neighbor's properties. Alex's phone was there too. Lori steals all of Tylee's savings she had been getting from her father's Navy pension. This was the motivation for Tylee's death. Poor little thing. A few days later, also in Sept 2019, JJ Vallow was drugged (seen by Melanie Gibbs) tied up and suffocated, still in his little red pajamas. Poor baby. Chad, the expert grave digger, buried him in the pet cemetery in his property. What was Lori's motivation in ki*lling poor JJ? Revenge on Kay Woodcock who got the money that she felt should rightfully be hers. A few days later, Alex takes a pot shot at Tammy Daybell who thinks it was a prank with a paintball gun. Soon after, in Oct 2019, Tammy Daybell is murdered in her bed and two sets of bruises are seen on her arms later. Two men. She was fit and healthy and training for a marathon. Chad collected 430,000 in total from life insurance he had on her. On Nov 5, 2019, Lori married #5 Chad Daybell in Hawaii. In Dec, 2019, Zulema Pastenes, Alex Cox's new wife of 2 weeks is given a massage on her bed. Alex insisted on putting a newly bought large plastic sheet on the bed before he gave her a massage and a drink. She was drugged, but could hear Alex discussing details of something on the phone with Lori and he said, I can't do it. He did not kill Zulema. She did an interview with the cops on this. On Dec 19, 2019, Alex dies of an apparent heart attack. No, he committed sui*cide. Chad and Lori probably put him up to it. Charles Vallow's murder trial was coming up in July 2020, and Alex had loose lips. Sister Lori took care of that loose end. Alex was Lori's hit man. This is the sordid tale of Cult Mom Lori Vallow. No doubt she would have abandoned Chad Daybell in favor of a #6 husband when the time was right and collected on his life insurance. She is a black widow.

One day I showed up for my appointment and they just said she was gone and not coming back. It took me a while to realize it was her once she became infamous because it was like 20+ yrs ago. I kept thinking she seemed familiar then a documentary mentioned that she was a hair stylist in Austin and it clicked. Yikes. Edit to add: The second thing that clicked was Lori spelled in that particular way. Also, she was very pretty back then and I remember having the sense that she was used to getting what she wanted from men because of it. She spoke of her husband having a lot of money and I think she even said he bought her plastic surgery (boobs).
