Watch enthusiast reacts to his 1st Swiss made watch, Frederique Constant Highlife ***UNBOXING***
Hey guys, its that time again for another upload to hit your eyeballs, my name is Troy, I'm bald and I collect watches.
If you are a regular viewer of my videos and subscribed to the channel you will see that I mainly showcase, unbox and review affordable watches, this time though it's a little different,
I'm unboxing a swiss made timepiece from Frederique Constant, the Frederique Constant Highlife is a swiss made watch with an in house COSC certified automatic movement, giving me great accuracy for such a beautiful timepiece.
During my video's I have said my channel is focused on affordable watches because the channel is focused on my watch collecting journey, something I'm very happy to share with you guys.

Congrats on the purchase. The FC Highlife is an absolutely gorgeous watch and offers so much value for money. I had the pleasure of owning it for a while, it oozes quality and the finishing is really nice too. Hopefully more buyers seriously consider FC as their next purchase

Beautiful piece! I have two FC watches and both have been nothing but amazing.
Congrats on the new purchase Troy, very nice and I’d wear it on the stainless steel bracelet. Only thing that would bother me is the way it will collect finger print marks. I look forward to your review 👍

Got my blue one in April. It's not my first Swiss, nor even my first Frederique Constant. It's such a versatile watch with with the rubber. I also got the blue suede effect as well. Bracelet is a smudge and scratch magnet on the polished centres, which is my only gripe.

Yeah I've found the polished part of the bracelet to be prone to fingerprints, the blue is a lot more versatile and a stunning piece as well, I tend to wear mine on the rubber strap, would love to be able to get more straps to be honest, thanks for taking the time to watch my video 😊

@@thebaldwatchcollector no worries mate. If you want a proper bargain as your next Swiss. TK Maxx are selling the Alpina Seastrong Gyre for £599 online. I just got one, it's a great quirky diver with a cool story. Much prefer to my old steel version.
hello, is the AR coating on the underside or topside ? i have found that having the coating on the top is diadvantageous as it wears off leaving blemishes. nice purchase and congrats 🙌🏽

Great brand and fantastic watch. It is however not in house as an ETA or Sellita based movement. None the less a fantastic movement and he'll yes COSC certified. I want this watch as I already have a few FC 710 in house watches but live the Highlife! They do now offer the Highlife with the new Monolithic movement as well as Perpetual Calendar. just recieved mine today bought from jura watches with a discount code , over the moon i got the blue dial looks best on blue strap. definately a sports watch not a dress watch

Great brand and a great entry into the luxury market even if some people disagree.
I just got my Tudor Black Bay GMT as my first Automatic watch... now I'm looking for a litte more "dressy" watch. I'm torn between the Highlife Heart Beat and the Highlife COSC. I really like the Heart Beat design, if it was COSC certified it would be an instant buy.

Nice choice with the GMT, if you want a dressier watch how about the Black Bay 41? but honestly this Highlife is a beauty and very understated in style, a great dress watch and a great sport watch with that included strap

@@thebaldwatchcollector I fell in love with the GMT the first time I tried it at my local AD. Sadly it was already sold. The Black Bay 41 is a nice watch but another 3k€ and I set my limit at around 2k€ since this is more or less a Date-Night piece. :) The Tudor 1926 is also an Option but it's quite hard to come by (at the AD) and then I came across FC and the Heartbeat. :D Going to Düsseldorf after work to visit some ADs there and I hope they have one at least to try it on.

They have been some more colourways since I got this one, but the rose with steel still is tops for me.

Always my concern with plating, but knowing this would get occasional wear for special occasions i'm ok with that, but valid point.

The dial with having that globe is more personal to me with travel aspirations, I love the quick release straps, it is also COSC certified, don't get me wrong I've seen the PRX and would love to add one to my collection, but I'd go with the Blue, then I'll own this and the PRX, how about you, what would you choose?
