Maybe. Particularly because people have been rediscovering and enjoying Unity a lot. Not sure about Syndicate, but it seems people that felt bored of defranchised with Valhalla are coming back not only the the usual original games (Ezio trilogy, Black Flag) but going for these two. I am quite torn about Infinity, but I hope they make it more Assassins than just using it as pure accessory as they've been doing recently.

@@enishi4ty5 You can use her immediately after completing the first mission, you go outside of the safehouse and she should be there if you have the season pass. She has her own 2 missions but you can use her for almost the entire main game.

Imagine a gta-like assassins creed game. The map is a whole island or two controlled by templars disguised as police forces and the like. You are an assassin disguised as a normal person living in that city but you have a goal: to retrieve all those artifacts that the templars have stolen and is using to rule in that island but the citizens are blind to it and to all the wrongdoings of these templars. Now, that's a game I would want to play

It's wired being happy for good AC content. Even weirder that it's not within the main franchise.

I love that they expanded on the Brotherhood and Templar's story in Watch Dogs Legion and it shows that Assassin's Creed can work in a modern setting with the correct execution.

I love Valhalla (I'm big into Vikings) and Odyssey was a cool game in its own way. But neither of them really feel like “Assassin's Creed” games. For me the last game that felt at all assassiny was Origins.

@@jamiemccloskey6873 Valhalla would honestly have felt less like a disappointment if they just didn't do that and made it the complete viking RPG instead of a viking RPG with classic Assassin's Creed features (in name, anyway) tacked on with glue way past its expiry date. Like make up your minds, do you want to go all-in on the Odyssey style, or do you want to tell everyone you're somehow bad at implementing features that you've managed to make work 9+ times already?

What made assassins creed good was always the struggle of the assassins and how they each interpreted their brotherhood the isu stuff basically makes it a run of the mill low fantasy game It shoukd have stayed like the old times because itsnlow fantasy settings cannot compete with the other games like shadow of war and witcher

Ubisoft should give the Assassin's Creed I.P. to this team. I'm done with the current teams working on Assassin's Creed.

Also The Siege of Paris was better than the main game since Paris gave me nostalgia of Ac Unity and the map of Paris allowed some classic Ac parkour.

@@mrmcbear6035 I actually wish the mechanics of Siege had been used throughout the main game. the only disappointment was that there were a lot of things that were underdeveloped and they let too much in the air [SPOILER AHEAD] : Like is Richardis Isu? how didn't she get burn. Is Charles just Crazy or is he similar to Eivor, Basim and Sigurd? Rollo should have been there and the Hidden Ones lore should have been explored a bit more there.

This DLC should be the first 2 hours of an AC game, the set up is awesome! Also, thank GOD there is no reference to Eivor and his clan, it would've ruined everything!

most of what the new trilogy added is just bs.I enjoyed Bayek as a character but goddam did I hate how they turned the isu artifacts into magic.Like the apple was already magic in a way,although we can have similar hallucination effects induced by utilizing soundwaves(Would also cause nausea) so at least it was beleavable from an advanced civ stand point.But with the staff its too much if isu had that tech they wouldn't need the vaults in the first place.That and I still can't understand how they missed an opportunity to make Shay the precourser to assassin hunters in modern day with a villian being the mirror to Desmond(Having been trained by memories of ancestors with both skills of templar and assassin)Heck least they'd have a finally for all that build up.

Whats wrong with Eivor and his clan? I own Valhalla but I'm not even close to finishing it. I have at least 10 hours in the game and the only thing i have seen is the 2 minutes cutscene where the middle eastern assessin visit Eivors brother.

@@j.fragoso7451 As someone who played the whole game and DLCs....let's say that by the end of it all you'll be a bit tired of hearing "the raven clan" Mostly because it gets thrown a lot, something without the proper need. They also use it as a shield for stupid decisions. (This is as much as I can say, without spoilers)

I'm surprised how little people talked about the Desmond Miles outfit. You can unlock them by finishing all the Templar bounties.

Ubisoft Connection: -Aiden kills Abstergo's ceo(or smth) -A laptop refrences that In some assassin's game -in Far cry 5, you can see a note in a bunker that is written by the russian lady from assassins creed featured in a mission with Agent Willis Huntley -In Far cry new dawn, you can find A government wreck that has a Sam fisher Outfit, and a map of all the spots Effected by the nuke -Sam is also Featured in Ghost recon wildlands and Breakpoints as an ally -Which means the ghost squad are canon in Assassin's creed,Splinter cell,watch dogs AND farcry.

The one huge issue with Darcy is that normally when you get spotted without a weapon, the enemies try to melee you, so you’re not totally spotted yet. When you play Darcy is you recently did a takedown and an enemy sees you, they will immediately shoot and you have almost no time to escape. Why? Because of the hidden blade, which is weird because I presume the blade being HIDDEN.

Is it honestly so weird that I'm simultaneously hyped for recent AC titles as well as this crossover? I personally think AC is still great, it's just focusing more on background lore and Precursor/Isu stuff. At the same time, a modern AC game would be my dream come true. Anyone agree?

AC is just in a difficult place. Half of the playerbase wants historical fiction, and half of the playerbase wants a focus on the Assassins and Templar conflict. And then there's a section who hate the modern day stuff and want it gone and the section who love the sci fi aspects and context. I do think almost everyone is getting kind of sick of the RPG style gameplay though.

@@unmessable12 I think the rpg stuff is kind of interesting, it needs a bit more depth, but I think they were close to nailing it with the way odyssey worked with the massive amount of customizability, the game just had other issues, if they carried those systems over to Valhalla it would have been excellent

When I played the first watchdogs for the first time my first thought was that this would be a great Assassin's Creed game in modern times. Aiden's trench coat is as close as you can get to an Assassin's robe in modern times without raising suspicion. It's cool to see they actually bring it with Legion to test how a modern day Assassin's Creed would work.

The Assassins' outfit is GORGEOUS. Very Brotherhood-esque.

@@theangryimp1345 You cannot gauge the mindset of a playable character from the behavior of the player. How they portray the character to act, is not a true representation of what an NPC otherwise would do in something like a cutscene. Also, in the AC film a few years past, they were actually rather overt at times, as much as they were covert. So it's not outside the realms of possibility for Darcy too.

Nah too many retcons starting that trilogy plus he was a "Hidden one oooooooh" but granted Bayek was an awesome character.Everything else though just sucked from a dev standpoint and gameplay plus story(way to many plot holes way to many retcons at first Darius wasn't even the first assassin he was the first assassin to use the hidden blade,then they reworded it as he was the first to use the blade and not an assassin).Plus hiring myth experts instead of history really shows although thats just nitpicking at this point.

I always dreamed of a game like this, maybe with flying cars that you could jump between, maybe a holographic blade, and only a couple weeks ago did I find out about this DLC!

@luckylad They won't starting with orgins they used a cheap basic gameplay engine in addition to microtransaction favored systems.That brings money from kids that have no concept of restraint.Its also why the combat is made for people with adhd(flashy numbers literally anything to keep a short attention span in place).

Oh man, thanks so much for this vid! You've said pretty much everything I thought when i first discovered this side mission. Just lovin' all the Jacob and Evie references! It really felt nostalgic and brought me back to the old AC games and I cant believe this short mission felt more AC than recent AC games. I almost forgot i was playing a Watch Dogs game for a bit. Darcy's outfit really did blow me away, the modern assassin robe looks so badass! I absolutely would love a modern day AC game and you're right, this section in WD: Legion is probably the closest we'll get to a modern day or future time AC. 6:24 I'd add AC Origins to that mix as well cause I've enjoyed Bayek's story tremendously. Odyssey was fun but wasn't a typical AC game. Ever since we're able to choose the character's gender in the past 2 AC games, it just didnt feel the same. I'm grateful to have a semblance of AC in WD and its so cool that both series are in the same universe/timeline.

At 3:00 I realised that the background music was from Assassin's Creed 2 and that was it for me, I subbed!

I didn't really have any interest in Legion until this video and after getting the game on sale your spot on, the stealth,combat, and exploration are so much closer to AC than Odyssey or Valhalla, and after beating the main story i really want a modern Assassins Creed

Shadow of war/Mordor is prob why assassins creed could’ve been. All AC needs to do is add Arkham combat and shadow of wars stealth mixed with Arkham’s stealth and they have a great AC game

Personally I felt like Valhalla would’ve been good if the story was different. Like it would’ve been dope to see Evior change his Viking ways to become an assassin to redeem all the bad he’s done as a Viking.

Here's my question, I'm tempted to get the gold or ultimate edition with the season pass. However, once you unlock Darcy, is it safe to assume that you can use this assassin throughout the entire Watch Dogs Legion storyline campaign? 😎🇺🇸

I just bought the Witcher and it’s rly good. I’m using mod organizer 2 to install mods and it makes the game even better. The only thing I do not like about the game is controlling the horse. Controlling roach is extremely annoying and I can’t find any mods that fix it.

If a new modern day assassin came out with assassin robes like darcy i will spent my entire savings i love desmond being a modern day assassin with limited equipment but having it feel like batman game with grappling hooks sealth assassination and knockouts and a whole lot other nefty gadgets would be so cool i wouldn't care if the game was extremely buggy i would still play

All I gotta say is that if Darcy is a modern day assassin in the future then valhallas ending could actually tie into them forming a new creed with Darcy eventually becoming a member… really interested where basim will end up

i had so much fun playing legion now Darcy is a lot of fun and the stealth kills are gorgeous, the short but awesome story of the dlc is amazing, id never thought that i would play legion as much as of right now

Do you have to play as Darcy or you can choose her brother?

I do still consider Bayek to be an assassin since he was the one who started the Brotherhood and is therefore the first assassin. And eventhough he isn't technically a member of the brotherhood during the story, he is a full fledged member of the assassin/hidden one brotherhood in the Hidden Ones DLC.

The problem most have with that. Is the fact that they retconned it to be that way it used to be darious was the first assassin to use the hidden blade(Way earlier then baek),but then they changed it to darious was just(not assassin even though the order started during the fall of "the ones who came before") the first to use it.I like bayek but the story was abit forced with multiple plot holes grnated they tried to fix em during dlc but still.

Well one things for sure. I'm getting the season pass, and are these missions still going on

The newer ac games introduce you more to the isu and to understand them, its good that its not templar vs assassin for the 10th time

Then just make an isu spin off, not slapping it into the main line, add random warriors and call it assassin's Creed

This was an amazing crossover. Definitely worth the $10-$15

In Watch Dogs 1 there’s Easter eggs to the assassin brotherhood/ Abstergo/ & The Templars. Legion just solidifies that it’s all part of a connected canon now.

despite not being able to climb up onto building like in AC, it was nice to have a modern Assassin. Also to have their hood on unlike Odyssey and Valhalla where they don't have or restrict you to having a hood being on you till your in a cutscene or fighting

Anyone who's a fan of Altair,Edward,or Jacob/Evie are the ones who got to see their heroes as statues and their iconic weapons. Along with adding some collectibles. For fans of Desmond you get his hoodie and t-shirt and jeans. I checked the shirt with the old games and it was the same design

Im a bit late, but if someone confused about it. AC, WD and FC happening in one universe. If you played Black flag and inspected offices you can find docs about launching BLUME , ctOS as Abstergo Company project. You can find Abstergo logo in Far Cry world somewhere.

Can you use Darcy in the main game? Like a new save file and start with her?

It makes me want to start all over again with a new game. Only thing stopping me is that I've built a really good lineup.

when I was a kid after watching the movie drive . I thought of a perfect AC game in modern times . and Watch dogs was very close to what I imagined. And this crossover in legion is what ac in modern time should be

Its cool that in Assassins creed origins you can climb every wall or solid thing

This made me shed tears, it's the only time i'll ever get to play as a modern Assassin, a concept hated by too many people... and it's Watch Dogs, not even an AC game

Just think of it, there would be some side plot, that in main game there would be Darcy, she would help Dead Sec, but we wouldn't know she is an assassin, and while ending Clan Kelly for example, we would see some figure in the dark, taking care of their goons, and at the end we would find this Kelly lady, with templar medallion or something like that, and Darce would tell us about the creed, their never ending war, who she really is and what are the stakes, and everything else. Also would be nice if in ending Darcy would have some kind of assassin lines, maybe even showing this person the name I forgot that supposed to be main villan, what real assassin can do.
