@Shikhar not true, atleast not for me. I appreciate well written characters, even if they are villains. But that doesn't mean that I see them as role models.

Always New Defalt wasn’t dead. His death felt too...convinent The worlds strongest hacker puts himself in a room where gas could kill him. The mask conveniently falling down in front of his exit. The fact he has a voice filter in those scenes but not in the Dedsec initiation I always had a theory that Defalt was hypnotizing or brainwashing people into believing they were him just like we do when we use digital trips and wake up in the weirdest places. But considering the guide saying “He’d upload his brain into a computer if he could.” And the quote, “I am God from the Machine,” makes me wonder if Defalt has turned himself into a computer program. An omniscient god of ctOS constantly watching and manipulating the events of the world. And seeing how Legion is leaving more and more breadcrumbs to Defalt’s existence makes me excited for his possible return.

woah i never got the guide! could you maybe tell me what else it had said about him? I'm also hella excited that he's alive and im really hoping he shows up in the DLC, the theory that he's been brainwashing people into believing they're him is actually like... really good and something that has not once crossed my mind before.

@@sp4c3yb4by3 It was a pet theory of mine that I thought could happen because of that death. The strongest hacker in watch dog’s world being undone by a statue falling down and blocking his path leaving Defalt to suffocate felt way way too. Too clean, too easy. Defalt is egotistical but not an idiot. Another sly easter egg was the Defalt shit in Watch Dogs 2. The bag reads Error 404 which of course means missing page, or the page has been moved. A subtle hint that Ubisoft are aware of the fact people doubt his death. Anyways Watch Dogs legion has you hack a ct0S hub to find one of Defalt’s pads. Inside you see mannequins and documents claiming Defalt isn’t dead and is in fact alive. One of the statements reads, “The Mind is controllable and so are you lol.” A hint to Defalt brainwashing or conditioning people to become him or a meta joke about the nature of Watch Dog’s Legion’s gameplay, manipulating and controllinrg people to fullfill Dedsec’s needs. Sometimes to the death. Then you get a message stating Defalt didn’t plan to stick around but he was happy we covered his tracks even though it wasn’t necessary. But he promises to leave us a present at his party. Under london bridge at 2:00 am you get a small chance to enter the hide out and acquire Defalt’s mask. To me this could mean several things, but if Defalt is connected to Rodentia Academia or the Ordinate Academy this to me proves Defalt is building his own Dedsec or worse his own religion. Hell ive had this icon for all the years I’ve had this youtube channel so conspiracy theorists like me who never believed Defalt was dead make perfect subjects for him. Idolizing him making us more receptive to his advances to make his existence even more abstract. The one thing I question is why he’s so friendly with Dedsec, maybe its because we’re recruits, maybe he knows the true nature of Dedsec’s ploy in London, maybe Chicago Dedsec and London Dedsec are teo different entities and he has no beef with us. Whatever the reason it could be possible Defalt is truly dead. Maybe some idolizing hacker took up his mantle. Or perhaps considering Broca Tech, maybe Defalt has uploaded his consciousness. Whenever we saw Defalt in Watch Dogs 1 his giant face loomed above him in most appearances almost as if Defalt were a god pulling the puppet strings on his double. Maybe Defalt became an omniscient AI and is an eternal cyber virus inside of ct0S. That makes the line, “I am God from the machine,” make much more sense.

@@chasethecringewolf2195 I've noticed Defalt has a lot of religious imagery and youre the first person I've seen actually like.. implement that into your theory. A lot of people seem to ignore that but Defalt obviously has some connections with religion, seeing himself as a God. I wouldn't be surprised if he had had something to do with Rodentia Academy. I've always seen Defalt as the type to become some type of fucked up DJ cult leader with how intelligent he is. If you don't mind I'd like to share this theory with a Discord im in?

Defalt was always my favorite villain in the series, even if he doesn't come back (since a wd4 seems pretty unlikely), he'll stil be the best villain to me and one of my favorite videogame villains. Also, he has my favorite OST in the series too, the WD1 version was the best, but the extra bass version from Legion is also pretty good.

I find it funny to me that I shot him so many times and blew him up because he pissed me off in the chase from the main game, but here he is alive.

As we see in Bad Blood DLC, it was actually a decoy wearing Defalt's mask while real Defalt was hiding under the stage after he closes the lights.

No they weren’t. Dedsec already existed before the council of Dave’s. The council of Dave’s are what Chicago dedsec called themselves.

You can find at side missions I don't remember the name of it but it is a mission chain that you find QR codes of dedsec. At the last mission you find this record
