I have to admit, I didn't really care for him in the main game, but in Bad Blood you learn more about him and his past which makes for a really interesting character. But you play as Dedsec in WATCH_DOGS: Legion and Defalt was in opposition of Dedsec. It would kind of be a bad move if someone in Dedsec wore a Defalt mask. But I could totally see a way they could make it happen.

I know Defalt pops in Watch Dogs 2 but Marcus hacks one of their phones just to find out it's people trying to revive Defalt by starting a new group

I remember during my playthrough of watch dogs 1 after knocking default from his car, I hit the boost and ran him down at full speed. There's nothing between me and him save for enough room for me to reach full speed. It was quite brutal and honestly very satisfying.

Defalt seems like a Farcry villain. A psychopath with a tragic backstory, super clever and sometimes you feel bad for them.

I think that Default was faking his own death, that way Aiden and T-bone don't come after him to exact revenge. Just look at the scene, it's almost like it was meant to be dramatic. 5:05 The fog starts to come down 5:07 Default jumps up and rushes towards the door 5:09 The giant mask falls, blocking the doorway 5:14 Default runs back to his computer to try to stop the gas. 5:22 He can't stop the gas, and in a fit of rage he hits the keyboard and flips the desk 5:30 The camera lands perfectly so that you can see Default choking and fall to the ground. This is way too perfect, and I know it's a game, but it just seems as if Default would have planned this to fake his own death... Or it's just a cut scene meant to entertain the player, either way, I want to see Default in Watch_Dogs at some point in the future, maybe he had an apprentice that he was training, and the apprentice will come after T-bone for killing Default? It has potential.

OverR1de well, i didnt play the game, but if they were deadly toxins, he would haveblock the vents 100%, we talking about one of the smartest people in the wd, and the whole scene from the start is really weird, notice how defalt gives the family of the victims an option, if they think ray should get away or not, which implies he himself wasnt sure, if he was he would give them option of either watch him die or not, and as he saw most of them disconnect he gone for plan B of faking his death and probably moving out of chicago, maybe to london, making him a character in wd3

Man im glad you covered this topic, in all honestly i sit in the category of he's alive for a few reasons. First off in the recording of him in watch dogs bad blood his voice wasn't altered at all but in the main missions it was. My second reason is i dont recall Defalt being credited a voice actor. And finally: digital trips. My theory is kinda extreme but its still possible seeing as how nano tech exists in watch dogs. I believe Defalt may actually brainwash decoys into acting like him, maybe he give commands to them telling them what to do or say like a puppet. We already know he is a master DJ, and we can see he is definitely responsible for digital trips which already cause the person to hallucinate as well as move positions to locations like inside a grave in watch dogs 1 The other reason i think this is because in the watch dogs one manual his character description states: "He would upload his brain into a computer if he could." Which sounds extreme, but to me it says he is smart enough to reach those heights and may actually reach it some day. But considering he made prototype technology that made T-bone drool i think is the single handily most powerful hacker in watch dogs. I dont think his fan club is a coincidence either, i wouldnt be surprised if they have a part to play in the dlc. I might be wrong, and ubisoft has a habbit of killing off characters before they reach great potential, so it might be wrong. But i dont think they'd put his logo in the introduction for nothing.

This story makes sense to me cuz I didn't know much about T Bone's past, and when in Watch Dogs 2 when Wrench caused that blackout, T Bone told him to be careful when causing those blackouts and if he wants to have the thought of being responsible for peoples deaths. He was talking about himself and what happened in 2003 when he caused a massive blackout.

You didnt knew this when the game came out but I think he lives or just had before his death his own clan because in Watch Dogs Legion you can find his mask. And the thing that like there were so much NPcs following him or having his merch shows that he lives or let something behind before his death. And maybe he wanted to fake his death once more. To plan a revenge.

Default is a movement like the Joker he will always live through someone else.

Haven’t you tried working with DedSec without having to join them. They even saved HadOck from being exposed when Greystrom teamed up with the NSA. In case you didn’t know HadOck was a Bay Area Legend back in the day, I mean he was exposing backroom illegal government business deals even while DedSec members were still in school.

I really think defalt would be an awesome main villain in an upcoming watch dogs. I got a really good feeling in my gut that the rodentia academy mission is actually to prepare us what the new watch dogs game (probably 3 or not, it depends.) is gonna be about. And I'm gonna share what it might be like. Defalt's hacking and what not, caused a large amount of people to be inspired by his work and that's what started the followers to become about in watch dogs 2. Later on the followers cause more and more people to be aware of the followers (maybe Blume and who knows, maybe dedsec members) and they join the followers. The follower group becomes large enough that Defalt himself (who is most likely in hiding) becomes aware and let's them know that he is alive and stuff and he comes out of hiding to join the group and be the leader. I would think that Blume and some other gangs that were in watch dogs 2 would most likely appear in a future watch dogs but should have bigger roles. Maybe you ally up with the bravtas? The 580's? Fuck the tezcas. I'm not gonna be a hundred percent sure that you ally up with the gangs since they don't hack at all. But some gangs need to have bigger roles. The viceroys from the first game was well done since they had a really nice way of being able to be a major part to the story with Iraq and all. I would love to see the viceroys come back too though. I absolutely loved the way they were put in the first game. But Defalt with all of his power would cause him to take control of those gangs or something and the leaders would most likely be working with defalt but not hacking wise. Like lucky Quinn and stuff. The main conflict would be that Defalt's plan and what not causes some trouble that dedsec doesn't like and dedsec becomes more known to be a good group and people will look up to them. Like how watch dogs 2's follower system thing works. That would be the same in watch dogs 2 but it wouldn't work with skills and stuff. My idea is that maybe dedsec does connect with other groups and members from those groups will join you as a gang and with follower points, you can build up your gang to have like special guns, cars, equipment, armor, clothes, specials roles, and many more. And you can call your gang to help you with things like idk defend against an attack from defalts followers that attack dedsecs headquarters. I'm gonna stop typing now since it's been like 45 or so minutes typing. If you read this all, you made me feel great that someone out there is reading my nonsense and bullshit.

Payton Wolfe I think you could be Jackson peers (at the start you don't know is him it is just revealed or midway in the game or in the end) and he would meet the San Francisco dedsec which has T-bone on it and they were in London so let's soppose Jackson is a teenager he would have a girlfriend which later in the game (by this I mean that he will not be the main Vilan on the start of the game) and while you were at school defalt would do an attack (maybe the school has some information I dunno) and they kill her which makes you try to get revenge! A COOL IDEA FOR WATCH DOGS 3: Since it's most likely to be In London it would be sick if they could do an agreement with anonymous and they appear in the FUCKING game that would be doop!

he hacked the system and reversed the gas so it would relocate to defaults room. he only got knocked out because he didn't inhale enough gas. however default did so he died.

I found a Easter egg in ghost recon wild lands, Marcus (the main character in watchdogs 2) is a boss in one of the regions

well, maybe the one in the room WAS a fake, and the one in the screen was the real but on a recreated version of the fake defalt room

wow this is the most dark death in video games that i've seen

It would be nice with a dlc where you can play as defalt. I think he is a really cool character

So watch dogs legion released and I think he's still alive due to him making a party in sewers, plus you can find his mask there

it was probably a type of gas that only knocks u out enstaid of killing u

Jorge Gomez it could go two ways really, he would want to make the other people see him suffer, but he is the one conttrolling the gas and it could be knockout gas so ray could suffer longer

Wanna know more about Defalt... play Council of Daves mission... (you get some info about Clara too)

There is loads of easter eggs of him in legions

We used a reverse card on his gas attack

Ubi great vid i have a theory there are seven people wearing default mask and there was seven people with default to see ray die

Smokescreen i dont think he had a gas mask, as you can see the side of his face clearly, but i think he faked it to put an end to his revenge, as he saw that most people close to the victims didnt want ray to be punished anymore, he changed his mind and ended it

In the second game there a side mission called rat trap and it shows his logo he could be in game

He will be in WD legion I think (maybe in dlc)

maybe come defalt back in Watch_dogs 3, and what if that we can play as defalt Or as Jackson friend and that that will be betrayed later? It's a cool idea. what think you Ubicentral?

I wish he does live because it will make a great contant to the game and with the theory that Jack will be the main character in WD3 that will be great because think about it can be like that:t-bone will die by default and Jack could avenge his death once and for all by the help of the fox(Aiden pearce) and dedsac feel free to add some stuff to my opinion

Ray comes back in watch dogs 2 and default comes back and ray remembers him

I think he's still around and is gonna be one of the main characters in watchdogs 3

I find this character really annoying to be fair , it should have been the original story in E3 trailer

he is because the real professional hacker woyld have just turned of the smoke if he could trap the amazing RAYMOND KENNY then he could have just turned it back off instead of raging and how did the logos get bact to san Francisco he clearly followed ray there from chicago and hopefully its a 3rd dlc to watch dogs 2 and every other watch dogs game to continue his legacy
