Same I had the Xbox one and 360 versions still loved and played the hell out of the 360 one cause I had the r2d2 edition haha, then I moved to pc and I have played in 970, 1060, 1080ti, 2080, and now a 4070 I also bought the barely competing with 20series Xbox series and have played it there too. It’s just a game that I will not get tired of, same for mafia 3.

In one hand, cd project red started hyping cyberpunk way too early in the development stages and the game was originally announced in the early 2000-2010. People were tired of waiting. In the other hand people pressured cd project to release the game before it was done and cd just obliged. When it comes to ubisofts mistake, they just showed a game that had nothing to do with the final product. At least cd is still working on cyberpunk

​@@amaeltewolde4888Don't be too nice on CDPR. They fucked up just as bad. It wasn't the audience's impatience that made them release early, it was them being beholden to investors. Which they are 100% responsible for. They also definitely over-advertised the features of the game. And worst of all, the old console versions were _literally_ unplayable. Genuinely unprecedented levels of a broken mess. Praise them, cause they fixed the game. But don't stifle the initial complaints just because it's now good. They deserved all the flak they got.

You do need to do a bit too much online to 100% ngl. The Online stuff in it is some of the most fun integration for a single player game I've played tho. I was pretty against it, and it is barebones- but worth the try. I was completely against Invasion PvP, until it happened naturally. First I was like "this is such a BS distraction", Then I had a blast playing Hide & Seek with guns lol.

I remember 100%ing this game quick enough that I was able to return the game to GameStop within their return window. The manager of the store was impressed and I got featured in one of their blurbs they used to send out. Absolutely loved this game back in the day

I still gets flashbacks of that trailer every now and then - it was just such a moment

I live in chicago now, and loved the first game so much that I bought, and wear often, a replica of Aiden's cool coat! Despite it's flaws, I loved the dark, serious feel of the first game. I think they oversteered into the silly and absurd for the second game, and then couldn't decide where to land for the third. The first game just felt so different from every other game world. I liked that for most of the story, Aiden's goal wasn't to destroy the system, it was to exploit it for his own ends. Rarely do we see a main character in a distopian world who isn't there to change the established order, but just to survive and thrive in that broken system. It made Aiden feel more real to me, like he was just some talented guy in this world, not the typical "main character" type we see so often.

Watch Dogs 1 is one of 3 single player games that I've played thr campaign of more than once. While the game isn't perfect, the atmosphere is AMAZING. You feel like a real life batman, saving the city in the shadows but in a realistic way. 2 had the better gameplay, 1 had the best story, and 3... well yeah.

Its so silly. The graphics were not even bad. They just were not as amazing as hoped and that was enough to piss people off. The gameplay is still awesome. And the people who mastered the parkour and coupled it with gunplay to make those John Wick style combat encounters are still impressive.

10 years… It’s so weird how I link my memories and longer periods of times to games as a 30-something guy. “Oh man, 2008 feels like ages ago, GTA IV came out that year and I have so many vivid memories!”, or “2013! I remember that year because of Battlefield 4!”. Same with Watchdogs. Really liked that game, maybe it’s time for another playthrough ten years later (and with much less time hehe).

T-Bone was a very relatable character, especially in 2. He had solid Wise Old Uncle Vibes to the punks in SF’s Dedsec

I vividly remember the watch dogs "gameplay" and I was blown away in the moment and then I had that moment of reality like there ain't no way that's happening.

Loved when the game came out I was watching a show called Persons of Interest and it made me super excited for this game because they gave the same vibe I always take the time to replay the game every year.

Aside from the main gameplay, some of the digital trips are really great and not talked about enough imo. Alone in particular stands out as stellar to me; I used to put so many hours into it and would love to see how it looks with amped up lighting and graphics. Spider tank was a blast too

Salutations for leaving the link of the mods in the desceiption !! For me I always liked the story and characters, though it shows its flaws upon repetition, Watch Dogs 1 would always have a place in my heart

This game was such a treat to find after having bought it on-sale years after release date and not even trying it until years after that. The 2nd game was different but I still enjoyed it none the less. I love the pop in random pvp invasions, hunting players was so fun.

This is the game that got me into high score runs. I was 1st on spider tank for years

Great video Jake! Honestly, although somewhat disappointing, the intro to the game really hit for me. The concept of the game and the intro being at the baseball park was memorable, especially with the upgrade in hardware at the time. Going back, it is more underwhelming than I remember, but also really fun at times. Unfortunately, watchdogs 2 didn’t hit for me at all, and legions confirmed I don’t think I need to ever play a watchdogs game again.

Been telling people for years that this is a very solid game

Watch Dogs: Legion just didn't hit the same notes as the first Watch Dogs which is sad and The story in Legion felt a bit all over the place, whereas the original had a more gripping and focused narrative and the mind of the fox that really pulled you in.

have played thru the campaign multiple times, had the bad blood dlc, and more. just started replaying again today and came across this video… insane timing… and to think a decade ago i asked my dad for this game.

Bugs and gameplay can be fixed but a bad story can't, that's why this game succeeded in the end, it had a beautiful and emotional story.

I collect Hard Cover Guides and i have it for this game... it is damn near a dictionary thick! (Because there are so many ways to play it.) - im still a WD fan for sure.

I was there when the trailer dropped. After years and years of PS3 360 gen I remember the trailer being so mind blowing. Watching it now, it's the little things, the way the wind blows stuff across the street and how Aiden and NPC clothes and all fabrics on screen react to that wind. The passing subway train's lights and the complex shadows that it leaves. In hindsight all that is so much processing power being used for subtle things, it was glorious but it was never realistically possible. I think a lot of it was developers that had been stuck on last gen hardware like forever finally having a chance to unleash and show everything that they'd been dying to work on and try out and they got a little carried away in their excitement, got a little too ambitious and threw in EVERYTHING new and groundbreaking they'd been waiting to try with no solid idea of what next gen hardware looked like. I'm in a weird place with Watch Dogs because I was blown away by what I saw and thought it was the future of games and when it came out I was disappointed that it didn't live up to that trailer. At the same time I was still blown away by what we did get. It was still one of the best looking games of the time. It was still a huge leap over everything that came before. The game still looked glorious in the rain, at night. The depth of field bokeh effects were still amazing. The rain in slow mo still looked phenomenal. The gameplay was different and lot of fun too. Being able to stealth entire gang hideous by hacking stuff everywhere was insanely cool! So yeah it was a weird game that really disappointed and amazed in equal measure

That Wu-Tang music trap and destroy mission is one of fav's in any game ever. I really liked this game I couldn't gel with 2 at all and 3 got boring.

2 was so good. The characters we're a little goofily written and I thought I'd hate them, but I loved them all and they were my best friends by the end. A little odd when a certain character had a tragedy, just a weird shift in tone (vengeance), but still a good story overall.

Legion bored the hell out of me

I always loved Watch Dogs from the pure fact that it had one of the best cities in gaming. Chicago felt like a truly lived in city, and the attention to detail was mind-blowing. I'd sometimes just walk down back alleys and take in the ambiance and was just blown away at the time.

I'm late but damnn a gameranx mod recommendation video??! These mods must have been insanely good that they're worthy of your guys grace

I really do hope they do another watch dogs back to routes, legion was fine but def nothing compared to 1&2, i would love to hack my way through Canada or France, especially France but as A SINGLE PERSON!!!!!!!

"goes back to roots" good luck on that one with Ubisoft. Loads of people have been waiting for R6 to go back to its roots for 20 years, have waited 10 years for a new splinter cell in hopes that it'll go back to it's roots, wanted a Ghost Recon like it originally was presented 25 years ago (even tho GR is in the best state it ever had been in after its identity crysis from 2006-2015 imo, it's just sad to see just how much potential they wasted which you can feel and notice all the time in Wildlands & Breakpoint - which in the end turns them into below average products). Ubisoft got good ideas, but they're unable to re-create what they originally did and the best that can happen is if a franchise gets discontinued - otherwise you just end up with an ever changing cycle of cash cows with the sole reminder of the franchise being the name.

I own this game on the 360 and Xbox One. Do I like it? Duh. I've actually been thinking of getting it on PC with the Living City mod but was waiting for a bit more coverage hence the beauty of you. Personally, though I own both 2 and Legion, I don't like them. I got both because of the first one; was disappointed with the story of two - while 1 was a bit bland, it was also serious. 2 wasn't whatsoever. Legion's trailers and first mission seem to be serious but that was just another illusion. Now, for various reasons, I completely distrust and loathe Ubisoft, so I doubt I'll buy any Watch_Dogs 3/4 based on trailer or gameplay reveal alone. Oddly, it wasn't 1's fake gameplay trailer that put me off, it was the narrative lies of the future games.

I never hated the game and played it in 2017 when I accidentally saw it

To me, Watch Dogs has always looked gorgeous, ever since the first reveal and even on release. Never understood the backlash due to downgrades. I enjoyed the game all the way, and it was on a fat PS4, just to add. Glad to see the recognition it gets these days.

I really enjoyed Watchdogs 2, even with the cringe get-along gang of protagonists. It was really fun. The screw-around factor was top tier, and thats what makes a game for me. If its fun to just goof around in the world, thats a solid game.

Nope, doesn't need it visuals still hold up which is kinda the whole point of this video, put remaster/remake resources into really old games which actually need it please

At this point we literally got a generation that curses Ubisoft for being trend chasers that destroy franchises since the mid 2000s while at the same time having a generation that thinks those titles are classics and it only started ~2015 - can't wait to see how that'll look like in 10 years, 3 generations bashing their heads in on that thematic will be interesting.

@@Unknown_Genius I do not know of any other publisher with more divisive releases. Every Ubsioft release is either hot garbage or an unsung masterpiece according to who you ask. Indifference is only really found in people who do not play their games.

It was NEVER 'mid', and of course the best games from the past are still good, anything else would be illogical

I played it earlier this year, after trying it last year while it initially was on PS Plus Extra. Eventually I bought the bundle with WD Legion, and I enjoyed it for sure - especially the Bad Blood DLC with T-Bone was slightly more varied in missions - and I would totally recommend it. Unfortunately on PS5 the resolution and fps are limited since it wasn't even updated for PS4 Pro.

As a long time PC gamer and gameranx subscriber, I hope I'm not the only one who loves the addition of PC Modding into your guy's videos

Hopefully Ubisoft has learned from Legion and can make a once great game series great again. One of the reasons I got into gadgets and tech was because of Watch Dogs. I hope they bring it back soon.

I still have my copy of WD1. I still revisit it time to time and still love it to this day.

I remember they ran commercials all day on cable tv. The idea of invading people's lives make money and uncover secrets was so cool. I wish there were more webcam missions.

I remember first finding out this game was coming out as though it was yesterday. It was OG G4's last year covering E3 (and existing actually). I'm at that age where you look back on 90% of pleasant memories with nostalgia through rose-colored glasses as it is.

I can’t be the only one who has very fond memories of walking into the streets of Chicago with those weather effects, even though it never lifted up to the trailer it was still amazing at the time, and I really enjoyed my play through of that game. The biggest problem I had was that part two and three never lived up to it.

I remember preordering Watch Dogs 1 when I was in 8th grade and even went to the midnight launch... I'm now almost 25. Honestly, I think I miss midnight launches the most

I loved this game and the stealth. It also had something cool I wish all games had, it’s during gunfights enemies think you are in one position which allows you to sneak around them while they still look where they thought you were.

Aiden's character growth from the Legion DLC would have been helpful back in 1. T-Bone was a fantastic character as well.

Watch Dogs 2 was honestly one of my favourite games on last gen. Didn’t expect to love it as much as I did after I had to fight my way to finish the first game which was like beige paint from start to finish

My 2 favorite E3 presentations were the Fallout 4 reveal in 2015 and Bioshock Infinite 2011. Much like Watchdogs, the Bioshock Infinite that we eventually received was not the game we were originally promised in the trailer, but it was still really dope.

I seen these enhancement modifications a few months ago. As a fan of the first Watch_Dogs game, this modification experience is still on my to do list to finally give the game the a playthrough it deserves.

The shipping container safehouses were so appealing and badass to me. Im still surprised nobody ever mentions it and how nobody decided to recreate it

If they did a remake or major remaster of this game, I'd buy it full price. It was so fun to play back then and I still enjoy it now, but it does need help for console players

I've always loved this game. Just started it again after not playing Watch Dogs for awhile. Once I'm done..Watch Dogs 2. I didn't care too much for Legions, but I would play Part 4 if they put it out.

God dammit!!! Thank you Jake! After a decade, this finally feels like justifiable closer. This was a nexus point in game presentations. It's wonderful to look back at this moment.

I played Watch Dogs, for about the 5th or 6th time, earlier this year - on the PS5. There was a fairly large update for it, some time around year's end or new year. The game looked good, play was smoothed out, and I think many of the earlier console problems were solved. I never played it on PC so I know nothing of the various mods, but am happy to hear people still trying to juice it up. I was attacked by so many other players, in my most recent play through. I wasn't aware that many folks were still playing. It, in my opinion, is the Best of the Watch Dogs, and I look forward to playing it again... and again.

Loved this game at launch. I wasn't tuned into the gaming side of social media back then, so I didn't even know anyone had complaints. A simpler time, really. Didn't know about the 'downgrade' just loved the game for what it was. Loved driving around in a chase, hacking street lights and cars to cause chaos and get away. So much fun.

I play Watch Dogs till this day with a couple graphical mods and I personally think it's the best Watch Dogs. It captures a great serious tone unlike the other ones. Everything about this game is great. Currently on my 4th playthrough.

This is my favorite Watch Dogs game in the same way that GTA4 is my favorite GTA game. Grim engaging story.

I remember buying this game when it came out and enjoying it completely. Did I put as many hours into it as other games? Definitely not, but I have fond memories of what little I remember.

A few things you need to know about these mods and the game in general: It doesn't like to run at a high framerate. The physics of the simulations for cloth are tied to the framerate, also some glitches occur. If you want it to look somewhat decent you need to cap your fps to 60 and even that's a bit too much. The game was running great with barely any crashes until a certain mission where you need to blow up some gas cans with your hacks right after a cutscene, when I had to reload, this cutscene bugged the whole game, I had to remove the mod to proceed with the mission, but when I passed it and reinstalled the mod, my safe file got so bugged: the mission I just completed was appearing on the map, but I could continue the campaign, and I got a ton of crashes during missions until I finished it. So be mindful and don't bug out your game like I did :D
