I've never seen Sabin that happy. He even stated in the pressor he had never been so happy. If Bama had a field goal kicker we wouldnt have seen the greatest play in Bama history.

If you look at the FG attempt in slow motion, his plant foot slipped badly enough to cause a divot, causing the ball to go left. Am I the only one to see that? Even the multimillion $$ commentators and other "gurus" missed that.

Eli Gold on the call is priceless as always
Those were 3 great calls. Big applause to Chris Fowler working through a fever, cough, and sore throat to even be there, let a lone make that enthusiastic call on that play.
The best call for a bama game is and always going to be Eli Gold the golden voice of Alabama

This just never gets old. And I’ve probably watched this one play about a hundred times.
And I have tears in my eyes again. And I've watched this over and over. Still so sweet. Still so beautiful. Never gets old. I'll take this joy with me to my grave. ROLL TIDE!

It is beautiful and executed perfectly. So i can't disagree. Also, i don't know of another college QB who actually makes that throw. Watching him pass is a thing of beauty. Hell, watching him play in general is an awesome privilege. He's gonna make a bunch of competitors mad af, lol!

These were a very special set of natty games in that run. The first Clemson game. This one. LSU and Clemson this year. All teams at the very top of their game getting a chance to display how great they were.
Sean McDonough's call was clearly the best. Somehow his voice crack actually gives the call more character; you can tell he is actually excited and into it. Even though I'm a homer, Eli's call was uninspiring and pretty bland.

Never gets old. RTR
Most exiting game I've ever seen
What is funny is 100% of the nation would have bet Tua to be the one to win the Heisman out of the two involved in that play. But Devonta turned out to be the most accomplished WR to ever play in the SEC and one if the most in CFB history.
Don't want to hear anything about Georgia being tired, NO ONE and I do mean NO ONE wanted to hear it when I was saying that Bama lost to Auburn because of ALL THEIR INJURIES, which was true!

thumbsaloft but NOW everyone accepts LSU’s “excuse” of having 1...I mean 1 starting linebacker out for a half 🤔 when Bama had 5 Linebackers out vs Auburn
HOW ABOUT THAT! - Eli Gold... That can be our new slogan, like: WHO DAT? lol Actually, I like: #13 OUR NEW LUCKY NUMBER
This still gives me goosebumps!!
We also witnessed the birth of the Slim Reaper that day! RTR!!!

Clay Bailey Sean McDonough was here in Boston for many years doing a great job broadcasting Red Sox games. He was journalisticly honest that being a simple shill, which teams want, was below his dignity that he no longer could be at the level he was even though he is that good.
The best combo ever. Tua and Smith. I hope they get to play together again in Miami.
50 yard bullet that took two seconds from Tua to Devonte's hand and didn't get over 20 feet high. Hurts and most QB's can only dream of throwing a ball like that. Sabin knew Tua was the better QB but had to wait until the right time to keep from hurting hurts feelings. He should have went in the Auburn or one of the other games when Hurts was struggling.

Eli Gold voice priceless!!
There is nothing I can say about this team they got the damn best coach in the nation roll tide roll
Kind of reminds me of the Amari Cooper game winning TD catch on Georgia. It looks exactly like the same play from the same spot.
Whenever i want a boost i watch this play lol
Sean crushed this call 👌👏
God bless America and God bless Alabama crimson tide roll tide roll
I still get chills
Thank's for this. Take care and Roll Tide.
Hearing the Georgia radio network call this play is my favorite
The Crimson Tide will not be denied!!!!
I love watching this!
Absolutely devastating 😢 Georgia fans must have been literally sick their stomachs.
The best play ever!!!! ROLL TIDEEE!!! 🔥🔥🏈🏈🐘🔥
I bet the announcer for Georgia learned how to pronounce Tua's last name. His smart ass attempt at saying his name was a classless move.
To all the Eli guys: Sean McDonough's call kills KILLS Eli's call. Sean is much more into the spontaneous description of the play itself than Eli could ever be.
Roll Tide Roll :)
Never experienced a greater joy than this besides my daughter being born #RollTide
A Carlton Fisk moment, 1975 World Series, to make this spectacular moment one also to enshrine in sports history. Love looking at again and again.
AND IT IS CAAuuGHTtt!!
He yeeted that thing hard YEET!
Phil Savage couldn't keep from calling the TD catch over Eli. Phil did that in the 2012 Bama/LSU game also.
roll tide yall!!!!
Chris fowler is the one I always remember
Eli Gold will always be the best.
Tua's thoughts YOLOOOOOOO

Daniel Coleman Eli' s call on the play was a travesty. I wish he'd retire.
ELI
The fact that he was a left hand made that throw a lot easier
The play was simply the infamous 4 Verticals? The linebacker released the inside slot receiver running a deep slant over the middle, which meant the safety had to cover. But that meant the receiver isolated on the left was single covered, and when he was inexplicably released, there was absolutely no one left to cover him.
Now another play reminiscent of this took place about 72 hours ago as I type this - 4th and 31, Milroe to Bond to beat Auburn.
Maybe the greatest moment in Alabama history.
and it is CaUGhT!!!!
Roll.tide
RTR!!!
The Georgia radio broadcast is the best. Lol
Happy 2nd and 26 day. (2/26/23)
🐘💪🏽
Roll Tide
How about that
The best is ESPN Deportes
The poor camera man that got stampeded 😢😢😢
If only officiating had called the blatant offensive PI in the 2016 game vs Clemson - Bama likely would have 3-peated.
LOL...Hentches took out the cameraman.
Georgia should of studied how Auburn defeated Bama. Auburn introduced new offensive plays and on defense Auburn gave the look of pressure but doubled covered Alabama's star receivers like honey on a biscuit.

That's a double-edged sword. LSU did that in the BCS championship game, based upon how Georgia Southern did against Bama. All it did was mess up their offensive performance, and we know how that ended up.
I'm an Alabama fan. Are we hated?
Second announcer sounded a bit like Seinfeld.
Five out of Nine National Titles. You will never see a team like OU ever accomplish anything close. Never will happen. Texas now owns that conference. Alabama is a True Dynasty and OU just pretenders. BAMA 20's, 30's, 40's, 60's, 70's, 90's and 2009-2017 FIVE NC. These Decades BAMA won NCs. OU not even close.
@marktastic86

No one would ever confuse OU with a dynasty when they lost 3/4 national titles in the BCS and are 0/2 in playoff games.
Oh Eli....a bit canned old buddy.
Don't like Eli Gold's call. One of the greatest plays in Alabama history and rather than staying in the moment and describing the play, he launches into what was obviously a programmed speech about number of national championships and other stuff that could have waited. The calls of McDonough and Fowler were both more spontaneous.

Don Eli Gold is a radio legend and I'm sure knows more about announcing than some random prick on KZread commenting. He had earned the right to say whatever he wants.
