I used to help a local farmer here in the UK, when he harvested his potato crop. A lot of European moles (which are smaller than American moles) were dug up by the passing tractors and we'd collect them and transfer them to the hedgerow margins. Their fur is like velvet and they were once used for coats, trousers, hats, waistcoats and the lining of gloves.

What is this "MySpace" you speak of?
If Shawn had compacted and dried out the soil in his “mole farm” we would have seen how it digs through dry soil and see it making tunnels (them not collapsing behind the mole)

Remember guys, it’s not the moles fault they make holes in your yard, they are blind and don’t know where they are, it’s best to catch them and take them to another field. Remember guys, life is sacred

Seeing it after you put it in the plexiglass setup and the bucket, it was amazing how the mole instantly started digging - no investigating or sniffing around, just immediately beginning to dig!

The surface is dangerous while the tunnels arent
Used to find star-nosed moles sometimes when picking up things like old boards that had been laying on the ground for a long time.
I have one in my yard now he's dug tunnels everywhere. No big mounds just areas of raised sod. Doesnt bother me glad he's eating. Fun to see where he's been.

When I was like 8 I picked up a mole like a rat in the neighbors yard and it bit me right in the web between the pointer finger and thumb and I let go but it was dangling from my hand. My mom started losing it thinking I was going to get rabies.
