The WASR is an excellent entry level AKM rifle. With a 5 dollar pin retaining plate, a muzzle break and a 10 minute trigger hammer polish and you've a nice akm that will hang with any AR15 out to about 250 yards as long as you do your part.

The WASR is a good rifle for the $$, they are reliable and durable just like an AK should be. they simply work, forget the haters and enjoy the rifle :-).

Nice rifle. I like what you did with the wood. I have an '18 WASR that I stole for $300, yes you heard right $300. Its been great, it feeds any ammo with any mag I put in it. Just FYI, your gas tube retaining lever should be put down to the lower dimple.

What scope mount are you using? What is the name?

Mike at 200 Yards the 7.62x39 drops like a rock. You are well set up for practical uses. The Romanians made some very good to Excellent weapons based on the Kalashnikov Series. I see You have some Great American Weapons as Your backdrop..

About 8 years again At a place called superior pawn in Virginia Beach

Im going to be tru and honest with everyone ....i baught a wasr 10 ak47 last saturday and all ready had to take it to gun smith. ..the trigger fell.out because pin was to.loose and other parts was.loose.as.well. ..i paid $1000 for a.$20.papper weight. I have highpoint guns thats built better than this crap im ashamed to say its made in America. God bless everyone and America and the 2nd

Dude..all you need is the red dot. You'll be good out to about 300yrds. Get rid of the of the magnifier and riser on the red dot, it puts your head way above the bore of the rifle. You will then be able to co-witness your sites with the dot.

A lower mount would be where I'd start. QD scope bases are a thing...keep to the irons unless you might need illumination or magnification.

Only problem i have had ,in the 16 years I've had mine, are ammo related ( TULA AMMO squib loads) and that would explain a WASR "exploding". That and some dumbass hearing "Pop" instead of "boom" and pulling the trigger again.

@@casualmike8395 Just be careful and you'll stay with us...and keep ya face. It's uncommon ,but does happen. AK builder sells Taiwanese RPK sights. They aren't ,too, expensive but make windage adjustments easier. Good video! You need to see Rob Ski's videos on the WASR. AKOU is the only Union wroth your time!
