    Thanks Bryan for sharing your experience with the Series 8. You confirm what I thought about the Series 8 regarding workouts: since the Series 8 / Ultra and the Series 6 share the same sensor / technology, there is no difference regarding workout tracking etc. I will keep my Series 6 until the next Series has the 4th gen heart rate sensor, which should improve the workout tracking etc. Great job on this video! Was really fun to watch!

    My Apple Watch 8 has been plagued by the dreaded heart rate greying out during workouts. Tried all the obvious with position on wrist, different straps, tightness etc etc. logged call with apple support and spent weeks going round in circles with them before insisting on a replacement. This arrived a week ago and hasn’t “missed a beat” if you excuse the pun. Definitely a hardware issue in my case. Keep up the good work, really enjoying your videos.

    great video man!!! when we change the watches it takes some time for the sensors to "calibrate" for the perfect measurement. Even though you can do the back up of all the data. It will be accurate in no time, you'll see. Especially you that uses it every single day! Cheersss

    dude thanks! and yeah, definitely something to note, but i’ve been using this wach for over 4 months now! the heart rate measurement during my workouts seems to stay the same in terms of consistency 😅 just not quite as good as the series 6 on some workouts!

    I don't know how much you know about other Apple watches. But currently I am trying to decide between the new Series SE vs Series 8. Of course, it comes down to money. The SE costs about 300 euros and the Series 8 cost 470 euros. The price gap is huge actually. The only concern I might have is whether I would need the extra features, such as keyboard for text writing and always on display. If you have some time to respond, then what are your thoughts on this?

    After watching a lot of these calorie tracking accuracty videos on the Apple watch, I think it's basically split in terms of that it really works well for some and for others it doesnt work well at all. I feel lucky that it does work well for me and I do use it instrumentally in my calorie tracking and losing weight. And it is working very well for me at least.

    The Apple Watch is one of the few apple products I really don’t feel like I need to upgrade. I have a 4 and every new iteration I’ve just been like “uh huh.. does it… does it do any of the things better? No? Well then I’m fine” battery life largely the same. Accuracy the same. Design basically the same. I even had an accident and scratched up my current one and thought maybe now? Maybe now it’s time - still no. As long as it makes it through the day and tracks my calories, I couldn’t care less which model it is.

    @@BryanAdamCastillo not sure you can still get them, and they are really just a basic fitness tracker, but I’ve found the Apple doesn’t pick up your activity unless you tell it you’re exercising, the Fitbit would know when you were and auto log it.

    So you take the calories you burn on your Apple Watch and + that with your BMR (Basic Metabolic Rate), then eat in a small deficit each day according to how many calories you burn? I thought of doing that, but i'm so scared my apple watch calculates wrong, so i just stick to a flat amount of calories each day.

    I Weight trained today It took me one hour and 10 minutes during that workout. My average heart rate was 147 beats per minute and I burned 958 active calories. It’s hard for me to believe that number is accurate. What are your thoughts? ps I do have my weight and height correct on my health app

    that’s a really high average heart rate for that duration of exercise 😅 were you training legs? honestly, depending on how much you weigh/how tall you are, that could be fairly close! the best thing to do is to test this over time, in addition to the calories your eating and see if you gain weight, lose weight or stay the same! this is what i’ve been doing for 2 years now and has worked very well for me!

    I had an AW and was hitting 1400-1600 active kcal everyday, now I have a Garmin watch and struggling to get to 1000 kcal, so much harder.

    I calibrated my watch and lost almost 2 pounds. Yet the watch says i only burned 650 calories....despite eating 1,500+ calories. Anyone else have this problem?
