@@user-xk4ez9nu3m yeah like there was a episode about clowns but it was a metaphor for queer people finally embracing who they are & coming out of the closet. I haven’t watched it bc I barely watched Rocko’s modern life because I was born in 2007. But is the episode wholesome?

What really bothered me about Mr. big head is that he seem to want a Christmas were nobody was happy so if he got what he wanted, he would’ve been kicked out of his own dream of a monochromatic thunder storm Christmas, where they’re playing the news on all the stations. All the toys have been recalled all the trees have died, and all the turkeys are diseased.

I don't hate X-mas but as a retail worker my out look as been tainted a bit. At least I have my good childhood memories.

I do hate Christmas. I have to spend a month and a half being told by strangers that how i "would be happier if I had kids/religion in my life". At least the uploader acknowledged that people use this time of the year to shove their beliefs down others' throats. Plus gift giving holidays take the joy out of the experience, turning displaying an act of compassion into something formal and structured, thereby causing stress.

The kid screaming and crying was always my favorite part--the way he does it is just so FUNNY:):) This special always came in fourth for me after 'Doug's Secret Christmas', 'Doug's Christmas Story', and 'The Rugrats Santa Experience'...imagine if Rocko and Heffer had to be Santa like Stewie and Brian! Breaking into the house, messing everything up, realizing they're at the wrong house--I can just hear Heffer say "This isn't even Santa anymore! This has been a home invasion!"

Man, haven't thought about this in a long time. Very underrated Christmas special IMO.

Rocko getting a slice of bighead cake. It's actually raining on Christmas Eve in Minnesota, it's very unnatural being it's supposed to be snowing and very cold

Great vid! Hearing that "no,daddy..." unlocked a memory lol I used to say that a lot with my cousins or my friends ( I can't remember which) because we loved this episode 😂

I'm guessing that on the grape vine, the "troll" part came before and lead to the "criminal" part. One person confused elves and trolls. Than someone else, a little more "well-versed" said 'Well, trolls are trouble-makers, right?' and maybe added trouble making in the description, which could've than been exaggerated into being criminal.

Mr Bighead is just miserable, but I get why. All his life hes been told his dreams are dumb and has been put on a rail for his whole life. Always being told no and not having a fay of actual joy ruins you. Come the show and everyone NOW gets to enjoy the stuff he has ALWAYS been told no to? It'd drive anyone to be miserable and try to drag everyone down; if he couldn't be happy, why should anyone else should? Or at least feel just as miserable as he was for years, even if it's just 1 day. Again, dont like his mentality, but i get it

Love this special so much! 😍 I remember seeing it on Nickelodeon back when they had the late night '90s Nick block. Must've been in my late teens or early twenties, and the episode really resonated with me. Also can't believe they close it out with an instrumental of Auld Lang Syne! Makes Rocko *even cooler* somehow.

I never met anyone in my entire life that hates the holidays,but if I did,it would make me feel sad cause to me they don't like the joy and happiness that holidays are supposed to bring,but I'm glad I never met anyone like that,but still,I thought holidays were supposed to be enjoyed,I don't want anyone to feel angry or sad during the holidays

@@AngryKidaardman1998 I was wondering that myself, I was watching some of both classic and modern Mickey cartoons when I found something that reminds me of Rocko

I feel like the elves just represented the kind of cheeriness Ed detested, which is why he initially hated them...really had nothing to do with the race. I mean, I get we live in the age where everything gets over analyzed and dissected, and some people find that entertaining...maybe some day I'll 'get' the need to do that to all these classic things. Regardless, loved this special since it's first airing, watched it every year since. Yea, it's got a slew of innuendos...but that's pretty much where Nickelodeon was back then. People who did these cartoons didn't used to feel the need to coddle and talk down to kids in the 90's.

In the Bible, it said" Love Your Neighbour as Yourself."

I'm one of those people who HATES Christmas and can't wait for it to be OVER. We don't celebrate so it's a hard time for me. I get that it’s just a cartoon, but why does Rocko own that sled in the first place if (according to Mr. Bighead) it hasn’t snowed in O-Town in decades? It’s well established that Rocko is a recent immigrant from Australia. I doubt that he brought it with him, because I’ve BEEN to Australia during what passes for winter there. I was in shorts half the time!
