"I Should Have Gone To Spain" would be a great title for Mickey Flanagan's autobiography.
I just love how Richard react to knowing the next quote is from Charles Darwin. He acts so confident afterwards!
You can hear the airquotes when David says "tweet".
When John Sargent mentioned that Thatcher was "playful" and Richard Ayoade quips, "Like ... wrestling" my sip of tea shot out through my nose. Those two words show his incredible wit and gift at being deadpan. I haven't that hard in a long time.

@@bradmodd7856 I don't know if that's true, but to put in my own two cents: I can't understand Mickey very well. If I put in the effort to understand him, I rarely find that it was worth it. I also am not a fan of his voice in general, but that's a smaller issue... I think. I will add, though, that Richard Ayoade and David Mitchell can make up for a _lot_ of deficiencies.

I don't get the Mickey hate. He plays perfectly off of Ayoade, and he actually knows how to reply to David without sounding like a butthurt resentful idiot (*cough*LeeMack*cough*). Mickey is a lot like Phill Jupitus; I wouldn't enjoy them as a solo performer, but they're funny with the right people around them. And they each have one gimmick that isn't funny no matter the situation, Mickey's impressions and Phill's shouting.
@ClayMann

But Phil has never once made me laugh or even smile. Mickey can be funny despite the impressions, he has the comedy gene. Phil just bought his gene on ebay and thinks wearing it as a necklace makes it work the same, you can see how utterly convinced he is of that on any of the 100's of panel shows he's on.
