Is technology going too far in the game now?

Personally if it needs multiple different replays to see if a toenail is ahead of the defender then I think the goal should stand. Officials should use technology for blatant indiscretions that they cannot see in real time.

Most fans would agree with you. The millimeter measurements are going too far and tech is playing too much of a role.

The margin should be the error margin. I doubt that is 100% accurrated

Very unlikely that it’s 100% accurate. Not a good thing to keep introducing too much tech IMO

What matters is that it's going to be fair and consistent. The system doesn't care which side it is or how big the game is. The ONLY weak point will be the referees applying things like "interfering with play"

Well whoever loses because of the decision will always be unhappy because of the technology. However to make the tech more human friendly they can rule out body parts from waist above (Since they always seem too unrealistic and unjust in the eyes of players/audience and too unrealistic for the players to adjust while playing). Whenever the offside is caused by body parts below waist it always seem more justifiable offside in my opinion (since lower body parts seem easier to adjust for players to make/break offside).

That’s a good point and majority of fans would likely agree with the body parts issue.

I think it's more to do with rules than technology...you can't blame technology as its very purpose is to take tiny margins into account.

Offside is offside… either you on, either you off. If we introduce tolerance the discussion will extrapolate on where a tolerance to the tolerance should be accepted and so on

Absolutely, the discussion continues even with a tolerance level. I guess the bigger question is this; can the current system/guidance be improved?

They're doing too much with tech right now. Goal line was a great technology to introduce, VAR is okay and can be helpful at times, but this is going too far. Just let them play..

It does feel like each addition of tech is not necessarily improving the game.

Definitely seemed to affect him as he was poor following the goal disallowed, like you say.
