    Excellent analysis and so true about Saka, well played there! Regarding the Casemiro incident, while you described the first part of the VC law, the decision was probably made as meeting the criteria for the second part (striking face/high, deliberate and with some degree of force). As Dermot Gallagher says often, if you raise your hands high to the face deliberately, you place yourself at risk of being sent off. Casemiro was clearly deliberate and had enough force to push him backwards. My personal view; Casemiro somehow escaped a red card at Selhurst Park and also has a reputation for rough play. Man U were cruising 2:0 in the lead, and upon seeing two hands clearing around the neck was given a red card. All the other contacts were handbags; pushing or while being pushed with minimal force or risk of harm. Had the score been tighter we may have seen a less harsh decision with Casemiro.
