However, I do work in the commercial auto insurance industry, and often times these insurance agents will sell someone an insurance policy (because they obtain commissions) and they’ll pay the insured’s down payment from their agency’s account. Similar to insurance agents, these car salesmen make commission off of their sells. Should he probably not have used some of his own funds to front her down payment?! Absolutely not. Honest is a stretch. She didn't have the money to pay for the down payment and the car lot wouldn't take the check. In order to sell the car the salesman violated their policy and worked as a middle man to cash her check so she could buy the car. He then got a commission for the sold car that had he followed the company's procedure would not have been sold. He schemed the car lot and she schemed him. The only difference was that her scheme was illegal and his wasn't.

No he withdrew $1500 and added $500 in cash that he had so that made it whole, $2000. He said he didn't wait for the cheque to clear as would take 5 days and the Defendant wanted the car quickly as was paying $100/day on a rental. I believe he really just wanted to help her out but what he did was really unwise not to mention against his company policy. When the Defendant defaulted on other payments and the cheque bounced, the Plaintiff's company understandably fired him. Plaintiff learnt a hard lesson there. The Defendant was manipulative and should be made to answer for her criminal conduct.

@rayvnsamone53 exactly! And in reality jj can't order her to return the car if her and the finance company have already made the agreement. He put through the down payment to the bank in her name. If she's up to date on payments the finance company won't take it back. He no longer works there, he got the 2000 he put up back from the show. So she can actually have a real judge, not a mediator nullify the order. She should really contact the insurance company and tell them what she was told about cashing the check. If her understanding really was that once the check was cashed that was her agreeing to the settlement. This did make for good TV. Lol. People do need to get a better understanding that this is a TV show, JJ isn't actually a judge. She's a TV personality who went to law school. I do actually know someone in real life who was on an episode of jj about 10 years ago.
