Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

It is time for me to try Double Weaving on my rigid heddle loom for the first time. And I'm taking you along with me! In this video, I share my process of learning double weaving on my loom. I show what I did right and also what I did wrong.

I absolutely love that you are taking us through this journey, unrehearsed! This shows what we might do incorrectly, and might get too frustrated with going forward. Also love that you are doing 2 different colors - makes sense to do this, so that we newbies can understand better, with the visual colors separating the two layers. Thank you so much!

No, I appreciate "looking over your shoulder" videos. I know this is a lot of set up and editing work, but so informative for us. Was thinking: I'm right handed and would have started from right to left - and wondering if that would have worked for you?@@Curly_n_Yarny

Making those videos is a lot of work, but seeing your comment makes it all worth it! To answer you, I think that this could have worked from right to left! The only thing is that that book I'm using as a reference started from left to right, so I thought it would be easier to follow exactly what it's saying. If you do want to do the other way around, it's important to make the conversion every steps of the way :)

Your cheerfulness when things don’t go as planned is an inspiration! I’m a beginner in RHW and make a lot of mistakes… I really enjoy your videos; especially the ones that are more advanced than I can do right now. 😊

Thank you for such a clear demonstration, even with the "fixes". I had gotten lost in creating the double-weave warp and finally gave up and took it off the loom. I am encouraged to try again.

Hello, I've had a couple ridgid heddle looms for a number of years and i bit the bullet and bought a 24"tabletop loom eitch is really to big to be carting all over the place so i bought a treddle and a stand kit, i got it all pit together, i have 2 small table tops so they can't be that much difference. I think I've got it down. I bought a pattern book by anne dixon i cant read a draft pattern i have watched many patterns on utube . I was watching youi explain how to read one but im right handed so i know i can swap sides but i still cant I've alleays been able to sit next to someone and watch and i can pick up a needle and do it right along with them. I need you to do a lessons on pattern reading for dumbys. Ive have the headdles down . And across the top i cant get the side. Please can you go slow step by step like your teaching a really big dumby . someone said with a 4 shaft you can do a six pattern o font know how thats possible i only have 4 treddles. . Can you help me? Janice

Hi Mylena thank you for this new video very interesting...but I have a question, and I ask in french because it is easier for me...est il possible d'utiliser 2 peignes envergeur pour faire un motif plus complexe sur un même tissage et ne pas tisser en double ? Encore merci pour tour ce contenu ! ❤
